Vertically aligned Zinc Oxide rod arrays were grown by the self-assembly hydrothermal process on the GaN epitaxial layer which has a same lattice structure with ZnO. Zinc nitrate and DETA solutions are used in the hydrothermal process. The $(HfO_2)$ thin film was deposited on GaN and the patterning was made by the photolithography technique. The selective growth of ZnO rod was achieved with the patterned GaN substrate. The fabricated ZnO rods are single crystal, and have grown along hexagonal c-axis direction of (002) which is the same growth orientation of GaN epitaxial layer. The density and the size of ZnO rod can be controlled by the pattern. The optical property of ordered array of vertical ZnO rods will be discussed in the present work.

The purpose of this study is to identify the important factors to introduce crowdfunding in the swine industry and prioritize the factors. In addition, the study systematically analyzed the subjective assessment values toward the weight of importance in introducing the factors between the investor group and loan-applicant group, and dissect the importance between the groups. As an important selection and evaluation factor for successfully attracting crowdfunding in the swine industry, this research applies Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) decision-making method to develop the model of sustainable growth. The result from the analysis of data collected in this study showed that both the investor group and the loan-applicant group considered the tangible assets to be the most important factor in applying crowdfunding in the swine industry. Thus, the protection of investors should be resolved first by providing collateral rather than insisting on the conventional crowdfunding method that only stresses credit aspects. The investor group and the loan-applicant group also judged the loan amount as an important factor, suggesting that smooth and sufficient investment should be secured for the loan-applicant group. In addition, the platform should set detailed regulations, commissions, and policies, while the financial field should essentially introduce credit rating models. Little previous research has been done on introducing crowdfunding in the swine industry, although crowdfunding has recently been a hot issue. The contribution of this study is significant in prioritizing the factors to introduce crowdfunding in the swine industry.
Fine-Needle Aspiration Cytology of the Nodal Marginal Zone Lymphoma
2011 Journal of Pathology and Translational Medicine Vol.45 No.4
Background: Nodal marginal zone lymphoma (NMZL) is a rare B-cell neoplasm consisting of heterogeneous cellular components and residual B-cell follicles. Because of such histological features, it is difficult to diagnose NMZL by fine needle aspiration (FNA) cytology. We reviewed FNA cytology of NMZL to identify a cytological clue to avoid misdiagnosing NMZL. Methods: Histological, cytological, and clinical findings of seven cases of NMZL were reviewed. Results: Most cases showed nodular aggregates of lymphohistiocytes derived from the germinal center irrespective of histological pattern. The cellular components were heterogeneous and composed of mature small lymphocytes, intermediate and large lymphocytes, immunoblasts, tingible body macrophages, and follicular dendritic cells. Intermediate-sized neoplastic cells with a pale nucleus were observed but difficult to identify because of admixed non-neoplastic cells, which outnumbered neoplastic cells. Except for one case with a high proportion of intermediate-sized cells, the other six cases were initially diagnosed as reactive hyperplasia. A flow cytometric analysis was performed in two cases and failed to demonstrate a monoclonal B-cell population. Conclusions: The FNA showing a reactive hyperplasia-like smear pattern should be carefully observed by experienced cytopathologists to identify intermediate-sized neoplastic cells. Clinical information including the size of the lymph nodes is important to avoid a misdiagnosis.
