통전적 기독교 교육을 위한 성찰적 방법론으로서의 멘토링

오늘날 한국사회 구조는 경쟁을 추구한다. 한국사회에서의 경쟁은 사회발전과 개인 행복을 증폭시키는 선순환 고리 역할을 하여 상호의존과 자아실현을 추구하기 보다는 경쟁 시스템의 악순환이 계속되고 있다. 한국 교회도 이러한 경쟁 사회 구조에 속해 있기 때문에 교회교육은 치열한 경쟁의 냉엄한 현실 속에 살고 있는 개인들에게 하나님의 형상으로서의 자아 형성을 돕지 못하고 있다. 또한 교회 자체 내에서도 문제점들이 제기되고 있다. 지식 전달에 집중하여 신앙의 인지적 영역을 중심으로 교육함으로써 통전적인 신앙을 형성하기 어렵다. 이로 인하여 하나님과의 만남과 타인과의 상호관계를 형성하는 것에는 미흡할 수 있다. 즉, 교회교육은 비인간화 시대에서 기독교의 신앙을 부각시키고, 내면적 아픔을 치유할 수 있는 교육을 하지 못하고 있는 것이다. 이러한 교회학교의 상황에 진정한 의미에서의 교육은 지식과 정서의 조화를 통한 통전적 기독교교육이 요구되고 있다. 이를 위해 신앙공동체 안에서 상호 관계적인 멘토링을 함으로써 학생들이 교회와 사회에서 바람직한 신앙인으로 양육되고 학습 되어 질 수 있다고 여겨진다. 본 연구는 이를 위해 먼저 교회학교에서 추구해야 할 통전적 기독교교육을 기독교교육의 역사를 통해서 살펴보았다. 이를 근거한 교육방법으로 통전적 기독교 교육을 위한 새로운 방법으로서의 멘토링을 살펴보았다. 이러한 멘토링을 통한 교육의 차별성과 멘토링을 통한 교육의 한계점을 언급하고, 멘토링을 통한 기독교 교육의 새로운 지평을 제한하였다. Today, the social structure of South Korea is pursuing competition. The Korean church belongs to this competition, so the education of church cannot help individuals living in the grim reality of the cutthroat competition to form a self-image as the image of God. In addition, problems have arisen within the church itself. It is difficult to form a holistic faith caused by education the focusing on the cognitive domain of faith as transferring knowledge. Therefore, it is insufficient to form a meeting with God and correlation with others. In other words, the education in church cannot embody the Christian faith or heal the inner pain in an inhumane period. The education in the true sense in the situation of this church school needs the whole-person education through the harmony of the knowledge and emotion. For this purpose, students will be able to be educated and learned as desirable believers in the church and society by the co-relational mentoring in the faith community. This study aimed to comprehend the faith which should be pursued in the church school and the significance of spiritual education. After that, mentoring as the method which has been used in the church as the educational method based on the research was exam-ined. Thus the holistic Christian education is considered as one of the methods which have positive effects on the various raised problems and structures in the society and to recover the interaction with people in a competitive society.
