한방화장품이 건강한 성인 여성의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향에 관한 예비 연구

Objective : The aim of this study is to assess the effect of Korean Herbal Cosmetic on quality of life (QoL) of Korean Herbal Cosmetics Using Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) stratified by blind versus non-blinded option.Methods : Forty five healthy females aged 30's to 40's were recruited for this study. Volunteers were divided into two groups : Group A (n=22) was provided an anti-aging cream with ginseng extract in the original packaging including the brand name and logo. Group B (n=23) were provided same cream in a plain white normal jar without any package decoration or logo.Results : All females except two volunteers in group A completed a DLQI questionnaire, baseline, after 4 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment. The baseline of DLQI scores of all groups was 3.23±2.72. There was a significant difference in DLQI scores between before, 4 weeks and 8 weeks after in both groups ; The scores changed from 4.25±3.45 to 0.95±1.15 at 4 weeks, 1.00±1.72 at 8 weeks in group A, The scores of group B changed from 2.35±1.47 to 0.83±1.23 at 4 weeks, 0.65±0.98 at 8 weeks. But both had no interaction effect between follow up times and groups. Subscale DLQI scores improved after 4weeks were 'Symptoms and feelings', only in group BConclusions : Both groups showed significant improvements in QoL quality scores evaluated by DLQI. However, interaction was not observed for whether the participants knew the brand and content of the cream.

Objectives : We investigated the skin properties on the periorbital region and cheek of Korean female according to age pattern by 7year based on Sang Go Cheun Jin Ron (上古天眞論) in So Moon (素問,) Methods : 49 Korean females, aged 21-56 years ($39.54{\pm}10.04$ years) were participated in this study. We measured the skin properties of periorbital region and cheek with SkinTouch (Amorepacific, Korea). Skin moisture, sebum, elasticity, lightness, roughness, area of wrinkle, depth of wrinkle were assessed. Results : Differences were noticed depending on the site and age. The level of moisture was higher on the eyelid than crow's feet. The level of lightness and elasticity were lower on the periorbital region than cheek. Skin lightness was highest on group1(under 28y) and lowest on group5(over 49y). Skin roughness was highest on group1(under 28y) and lowest on group4(over 42y under 49y). The level of wrinkle are was lowest on group1(under 28y) and highest on group 5(over49y). The level of wrinkle depth was lowest on group1(under 28y) and highest on group 4(over 42y under 49y). Conclusion : Unique aging pattern by 7 years of female is reflected to diverse skin properties of eyes. It can be possible to apply the theory on Sang Go Cheun Jin Ron (上古天眞論) to practical use in dermatology and cosmetic.

Objectives : The aim of the present study is to evaluate the wound healing-enhancing and anti-inflammatory effects of Pinus densiflora, Cornus officinalis, Zingiber officinale, Ganoderma japonicum and Scutellaria baikalensison human keratinocyte, HaCaT cells. Methods : We adopted in vitro wound healing assay to measure the proliferation-and migration-enhancing effects in HaCaT cells. The expressions of cytokine genes were measured in HaCaT cells using real-time PCR analysis. Results : The extracts of Pinus densiflora, Cornus officinalis, Zingiber officinale, Ganoderma japonicum and Scutellaria baikalensis enhanced the proliferation and migration of HaCaTcells. The expression of keratinocyte growth factor receptor(FGFR2-IIIb) gene was also induced. The extracts inhibited iNOS, IL-$1{\beta}$ and TNF-$\alpha$ gene expression. Conclusions : The extract of Pinus densiflora, Cornus officinalis, Zingiber officinale, Ganoderma japonicum and Scutellaria baikalensis has wound healing-enhancing effects and anti-inflammatory effects.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced a 2050 greenhouse gas reduction strategy through the Green New Deal promotion and proposed a plan to achieve carbon neutrality through the five major areas of green building, green mobility, green forest, green energy, and green cycles. Among them, it is of utmost importance to prepare for the transition of low-carbon zero-energy buildings in the building sector, which accounts for 67% of the total energy consumption and 68.2% of greenhouse gas emissions in Seoul. In particular, 71.4% of the 454,000 buildings in Seoul are aged, and measures to expand to the private sector are needed to overcome the economic crisis caused by COVID-19. Therefore, to prepare a decision-making plan to improve the energy performance of existing buildings, the operation status and energy usage survey were conducted on public buildings with a total floor area of 3,000 ㎡ or more. The uses of the buildings were classified as cultural, educational, medical, office, and training facilities. A regression analysis algorithm was used to analyze the energy usage patterns and conduct a relative evaluation. The study results are intended to be used as a decision-making method for the energy diagnosis and remodeling of existing buildings.

Objectives: It is well known that genetic factors and environmental factors play major role in aging skin. In general, son and daughter take after their parents in appearance. But comparability of skin properties in Korean family has not been well estimated. So we evaluated the correlation of skin properties in Korean mother-daughter pairs. Methods: 10 couples of mother and daughter pair(n=20) participate in this study. Mothers and daughters were aged 50.6±2.459 and 23.8±2.15 years, respectively. Skin moisture, sebum, skin color and elasticity is measured using non-invasive method: Corneometer CM825, Sebumeter(MPA580), Mexameter MX18, Cutometer MPA580. Statistical analysis program we used is Minitab 14 Korea. Results: The Skin moisture of mother group was significantly higher than daughter group. And skin elasticity(R2) of the daughter group was significantly higher than mother group. In the results of correlation analysis between mother and daughter pairs, skin elasticity(R2) had high positive correlation(r=0.729, p=0.026). But skin moisture, sebum, melanin index, erythema index and skin elasticity(R5) did not be confirmed a significant correlation. Conclusions: Skin elasticity(R2) is the only factor that showed high positive correlation significantly in mother and daughter pairs. Mother and daughter share the genetic factors and environmental factors that influence skin aging. So, mother`s aging pattern will be a good guide for anti-aging of daughters.

The purposes of this study are to develop the workstation units for workspace and to propose their application method at the architectural design stage. The workstation unit is one of the components of a workspace integrated unit, which can be defined as the planning unit satisfying the environmental comfort criteria of workspace. Workstation is classified according to workstation layouts, desk size, occupancy area and partitions determined by literature and case study. Then workstation unit is combined with the lighting unit. The lighting performance of each unit was eval-uated using the Radiance program. With these workstation units, designers would be able to easily predict how their decision influences the illuminance and uniformity of workstation.

TThe Seoul Metropolitan Government announced a comprehensive plan for “Solar City, Seoul,” which is aimed at 1GW of power for 1 million households by 2022. Subsidies for the installation of BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic Systems) in private buildings were expanded in 2020. It is therefore necessary to consider the building-integrated photovoltaic performance to harmonize with urban landscapes using renewable energy sources to realize zero-energy buildings. A field experiment was conducted to investigate the conditions of the BIPV, and the performance impact factors were analyzed. The results showed that the general glass, BIPV intermediate space, and internal surface of the BIPV temperature increased when insulation was added to the BIPV back panel in the spandrel part. The temperature increase in the Spandrel part is mainly caused by solar radiation, and the intermediate space temperature of the general glass rises higher than that of the BIPV module installation. The performance of the BIPV system was evaluated through a simulation. The simulation results showed that the temperature of the solar cell during BIPV generation depended on the energy balance of the effective solar radiation and ambient temperature. In the future, a comprehensive review of the module and material performances, such as the power generation and efficiency, will be required based on experimental verification.

본 연구의 목표는 한의학을 기초로 한 새로운 평가 방법을 이용하여 한방화장품의 효과를 분석하고자 하는 것이다. 한의학에서는 얼굴과 피부에 나타나는 현상을 분석하는 것이 환자의 질병과 체질을 예측하는 중요한 방법이었다. 내부 장기의 상태를 얼굴에 발현되는 증상과 피부를 통해 진단하는 방법을 한의학의 진단체계에서는 ‘망진(望診)’이라 한다. 이에 저자들은 지난 5년간 인삼농축크림을 사용한 피검자군 여성 11명과 대조군여성 11명을 대상으로 한의사 3인의 망진 평가와 비침습적인 피부 실측 과정(non-invasive skin bio-engineering)을 병행하여 두 그룹 간의 피부 상태를 비교하여 유의한 결과를 얻었기에 이를 보고하는 바이다. 총 17항목의 망진 평가에서는 7개 항목에서 인삼농축크림 장기사용군이 대조군에 비하여 통계적으로 유의하게 우수한 결과를 보였으며 7가지 피부 측정항목에서는 유분, 거칠기, 색소침착 면적과 눈가 주름 깊이에서 인삼농축 크림 장기사용군이 대조군에 비해 우수한 결과를 보였다. 본 실험을 통해 인삼농축크림의 장기사용이 피부에 긍정적인 영향을 줌을 확인하였으며, 또한 한의학적인 진단법과 현대기기를 이용한 피부 계측 방법을 융합하여 한방화장품의 특성을 살린 신규 평가 방법을 제안하고자 하였다. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of cosmetic products containing concentrated ginseng using novel methods based on Traditional Korean medicine (TKM). In TKM, inspection of facial skin was an important method to diagnose symptoms and body condition of patients. Doctors in oriental medicine examined a patient as observing symptoms on the face and skin related to inner organs. This was called “mang-jin. In this study, eleven female, who have been using the cosmetic products containing concentrated ginseng for the last 5 years, and eleven healthy controls, who have never used the same product, were recruited. Three doctors in oriental medicine evaluated 17 inspection factors on facial skin. And 7 non-invasive skin bioengineering factors were assessed by various instruments at the same time. In results, 7 factors of the inspection were better in using the product than in controls. And sebum, roughness, pigmentation and wrinkle depth were significantly lower in using the product than in controls. So, this results propose that the cosmetic product containing concentrated ginseng has a good anti-aging effect on skin. And it is suggested that the novel evaluation method combined, Traditional Korean medicine and modern bioengineering technique, has to be developed for holistic concept of Hanbang cosmetics.
