        임신 3 기 경증자간전증 환자를 대상으로 한 저용량 Aspirin의 치료 효과

        Objectives: Low-dose aspirin therapy is recommended as prophylaxis in women at high risk for preeclampsia. This study made to determine whether low-dose aspirin reduces the number of women who develope to severe preeclampsia, and whether it reduces perinatal mortality and improves birth weights in pregnant women who develope the symptom and sign of the mild preeclampsia. Methods: Ninety-four patients were recruited from the antenatal clinics at Gil medical center with mid preeclampsia at 28 to 36 weeks gestation and were randomized to receive either 60㎎ of aspirin or none. Results: The mean blood pressure values [systolic 153.13±1 vs 150.65±1 mmHg, diastolic 101.67±7 vs 99.78±8 mmHg], the rates of development of severe preeclampsia [37.5% vs 34.8%], the gestational ages at delivery [36.0±2.7 vs 36.7±2.1 weeks], newborn body weights [2311±733 vs 2415±505 gm], 5-minute Apgar scores [8.1±2 vs 8.2±2], and fetal growth retardation[41.7% vs 41.3%] were similar in the low-dose aspirin treated and the control groups. Conclusions: We conclude that low-dose aspirin is not curative in reducing development of severe preeclampsia and in lowering fetal growth retardation, but it is essential to a preventive treatment for high risk patients which, in order to be effective, should be started weeks before clinical signs of preeclampsia are present.

      • Deposition of Mucin Coat on Rabbit Embryos Cultured In Vitro Following Oviductal Transfer

        Mucin coat is deposited on the embryos during passage through the oviduct in rabbit. When in vitro cultured blastocysts were transferred to the recipients, the lack of mucin coat might account in part for failure of pregnancy after transfer. The present study were carried out to investigate whether deposition of mucin coat were induced when in vitro cultured blastocysts were transferred to recipients. At 19-20 hours post coitus one cell embryos were collected by flushing oviducts. These embryos cultured for 72 hours were reached to blastocyst stage. And these blastocysts were transferred to the oviduct of asynchronized (one day later than the donors) and synchronized recipient. To confirm deposition of the mucin coat blastocysts transferred to the oviduct were recovered at 24 and 48 hours after the transfer. Fifty eight percent of blastocysts recovered from uterus of asynchronous recipient at 24 hours after transfer and 92.9% of blastocysts recovered from uterus of synchronous recipient were 0-10㎛ of mucin coat thickness. And 11.8% of blastocysts of asynchronized recipients and 7.1% of blastocysts from asynchronized recipients were in 11-20㎛ of mucin coat thickness. When blastocysts were recovered from uterus at 48 hours after transfer, 87.0% of blastocysts from asynchronized recipients and 5.9% of blastocyst from synchronized recipients were in 0-10㎛ of mucin coat thickness. And 76.5% of blastocysts of synchronized recipients and 4.4% of blastocysts from asynchronized recipients were in 11-20㎛ of mucin coat thickness. From these results it is speculated that the low implantation rate of in vitro cultured rabbit blastocysts transferred to oviduct of recipient was caused by high degeneration of the embryo after transfer and inappropriate deposition of mucin coat.

        Synovitis, Acne, Pustulosis, Hyperostosis, and Osteitis Syndrome: A Case of Spine, Pelvis, and Anterior Chest Wall Involvement, with Overlooked Plantar Pustulosis

        Synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, and osteitis (SAPHO) syndrome is an inflammatory clinical condition with aseptic bone lesions and characteristic skin manifestations. A 63-year-old woman presented with vague musculoskeletal symptoms including chronic buttock pain. The clinical work-up revealed multiple spine and osteoarticular involvement. Multilevel bone marrow edema and cortical erosions involving the spine, asymmetric sacroiliitis, and osteosclerosis of the sternoclavicular joint were consistent with a diagnosis of SAPHO syndrome. Considering SAPHO syndrome in the differential diagnosis, subsequent skin inspection revealed plantar pustulosis. Despite the unique feature of accompanying skin and skeletal lesions, skin lesions could be overlooked if not suspected.

        Diagnostic Performance of Diffusion- Weighted Steady-State Free Precession in Differential Diagnosis of Neoplastic and Benign Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures: Comparison to Diffusion-Weighted Echo-Planar Imaging

        Purpose: To evaluate the diagnostic performance of diffusion-weighted steadystate free precession (DW-SSFP) in comparison to diffusion-weighted echo-planar imaging (DW-EPI) for differentiating the neoplastic and benign osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. Materials and Methods: The subjects were 40 patients with recent vertebral compression fractures but no history of vertebroplasty, spine operation, or chemotherapy. They had received 3-Tesla (T) spine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), including both DW-SSFP and DW-EPI sequences. The 40 patients included 20 with neoplastic vertebral fracture and 20 with benign osteoporotic vertebral fracture. In each fracture lesion, we obtained the signal intensity normalized by the signal intensity of normal bone marrow (SI norm) on DW-SSFP and the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) on DW-EPI. The correlation between the SI norm and the ADC in each lesion was analyzed using linear regression. The optimal cut-off values for the diagnosis of neoplastic fracture were determined in each sequence using Youden’s J statistics and receiver operating characteristic curve analyses. Results: In the neoplastic fracture, the median SI norm on DW-SSFP was higher and the median ADC on DW-EPI was lower than the benign osteoporotic fracture (5.24 vs. 1.30, P = 0.032, and 0.86 vs. 1.48, P = 0.041, respectively). Inverse linear correlations were evident between SI norm and ADC in both neoplastic and benign osteoporotic fractures (r = -0.45 and -0.61, respectively). The optimal cut-off values for diagnosis of neoplastic fracture were SI norm of 3.0 in DW-SSFP with the sensitivity and specificity of 90.4% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 81.0-99.0) and 95.3% (95% CI: 90.0-100.0), respectively, and ADC of 1.3 in DW-EPI with the sensitivity and specificity of 90.5% (95% CI: 80.0-100.0) and 70.4% (95% CI: 60.0- 80.0), respectively. Conclusion: In 3-T MRI, DW-SSFP has comparable sensitivity and specificity to DWEPI in differentiating the neoplastic vertebral fracture from the benign osteoporotic vertebral fracture.

      • HSS STI-CMP적용을 위한이중 패드의 최적화

        As the device geometry shrinks to the deep submicron region, chemical mechanical polishing(CMP) planarization become a more essential technique of advanced ULSI process. Also, CMP process was required for the global planarization of inter-metal dielectric(IMD), inter-level dielectric(ILD) layers and interconnections with free-defect. Especially, the complete global planarization of IMD, ILD and interconnections can be achieved only with the CMP process. However, as the IMD and ILD layer gets thinner, several problems were found in the CMP process. It does have various problems such as dishing effect, torn oxide defects and nitride residues in oxide. So, it leads to severe circuit failure, which affects yield. In this paper, we studied the characteristics of polishing pad, which can apply STI-CMP process for global planarization of multilevel interconnection structure. Also, we investigated the effects of different sets of polishing pad, such as soft and hard pad. As an experimental result, hard pad showed center-fast type, and soft pad showed edge-fast type. Totally, the defect level has shown little difference, however, the counts of scratch was defected less than 2 on JR111 pad. Through the above result, we can select optimum polishing pad, so we can expect the improvement of throughput and device yield.

      • 토끼 수정란 체외 배양액의 개발에 관한 연구

        This experiment was carried out to improve in vitro development of rabbit one-cell embryos to the blastocyst stage. One-cell rabbit embryos were collected at 19∼20hr after superovulation induction and incubated at 39℃ in 5% CO_(2) for 72hr. In order to find optimum conditions in medium that affects the rabbit embryo's development in vitro, RDH medium which mixed with RPMI1640, DMEM and Ham's F10 was compared with the previously reported mediums (Ham's F10 and RD) for embryo development and cell numbers. Three additives (BSA, taurine and glucose) were tested for the development of rabbit one-cell embryos in vitro. When the embryos were cultured in RDH medium, their development was markedly promoted as compared with Ham's F-10 or RD alone. Glucose exhibited no significant effects on embryo development and cell numbers. BSA appeared to promote transition from morula to blastocyst stage and taurine increased cell numbers of cultured embryos markedly regardless of mediums. BSA and taurine together in RDH medium showed the additive effects on embryo development and cell number.

        컴퓨터 관련 전공 대학교육에 있어서 가장 기본이 되는 교육 과정이 프로그래밍 언어이다. 현재 많은 대학에서 초급 프로그래밍 언어로서 C를 선택하고 있다. C 언어는 유닉스 운영체제를 작성할 만큼의 다양한 기능을 가지고 있으며 현재 산업계에서도 널리 쓰이고 있는 프로그래밍 언어이다. 그러나 C 언어는 교육용으로 개발되지 않았으며 Pascal이나 Simula와 같이 간결하고 통일된 형식을 지원하지 않는다. 이 논문에서는 초급 프로그래밍 언어 교육에 있어서 C언어가 가지고 있는 문제점을 지적하고, 초급 프로그래밍 언어 교육의 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

        Primary malignant melanoma of the vagina is an exceedingly rare entity, accounting for about 3% of all primary vagina1 malignant tumors and 0.3% of all melanoma. The overall 5-year survival in patients with primary vaginal melanoma is notoriously poor, estimated to be between 13% and 19%. A case of primary malignant melanoma of the vagina treated with the wide local excision of vagina and rectum was presented with a brief review of literature.
