Polymethylphenylsilane(PMPS) was synthesized with methylphenyldichlorosilane using metal sodium. Various sample coated on quartz plate were exposed and the yield of residual film was calculated. To obtain the fine image forming after developing and drying, optical transmittance characterization have to be considerd. Exposure is described by three optical paramerters X, Y, and Z. There parameters are normally determined from optical transmittance measurements of exposed PMPS films. Z parameter was determined from the initial slope of a transmittance according to exposure time. This set of function parameters provided a complete description of photoresist exposure and development and became the basis for the theoretical process models.

Polyoxyethylene monooleate was prepared by addition of ethylene oxide to oleic acid. And also, polyoxyethylene monooleate type oil dispersant was prepared by blending polyoxyethylene monooleate, n-paraffine, sorbitan monooleate, sorbitan monopalmitate, and plam oil. Dispersion efficiency test was carried out by vertical shaking flask and swirling flask methods. Low toxic oil dispersant was prepared with polyoxyethylene monooleate, which has high biodegradability and excellent dispersion efficiency on crude oils and weathered W/O emulsions with high viscosity, and its dispersion efficiency was measured to various crude oils and weathered oils.

To enhance the lubrication property, various lubricant, such as PE modified wax, montan wax, ester wax and sasol wax, crystal wax were added to HDPE. They showed an excellent abrasion resistance, especially in a 3wt% HDPE. The addition of these lubricants resulted in increasing the five times abrasion resistance. And also, their molecular weight, friction coefficient, tensile modulus, yield elongation, tensile strength, notch impact strength and hardness exhibited 100,000~150,000, 0.05, 964MPa, 13%, 18MPa, 120kJ/㎡ and 46MPa, respectively.

Polyurethane (PU) foam elastomer prepared using polyester polyol has an excellent mechanical properties, but has the poor water proofness, compared with PU foam elastomer prepared using polyether polyol. PU foam elastomer was prepared by the reaction of NCO-prepolymer and polyester polyols obtained from 1,6-hexanediol (HD) and neopentyl glycol (NG) with adipic acid (AA). The water proofness of the elastomer was determined by measuring the change of mechanical properties of the elastomer according to hydrolytic degradation.
