This study was carried out to investigate the effect of welding parameters such as shielding gas compositions welding voltage and welding current on the pore formation in the weld beads of galvanized steel pipes produced with gas metal arc welding. The porosity was evaluated and rated by metallography and radiographic test in terms of weight percentage, number and distribution of pores in weld beads. The porosity increased with increasing welding voltage and current, in which Ar gas produced the most porosity while $Ar+5%O_2$ generated the least porosity. It was found that the porosity could be reduced by selection of the proper gas mixture composition such as $Ar+5%O_2$ and $Ar+10%CO_2$ and by using current (130~150A) and voltage(16~20V).
아연도금강관의 GMAW에서 용접변수가 비드형상과 미세조직과 경도에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 아연도금강관 용접에 용접 전류, 전압과 보호가스가 용접 비드 형상과 미세조직과 경도에 미 치는 영향을 조사하였다. 전압, 전류과 보호가스 종류 및 조성의 변화가 용접 비드의 높이와 너비, 용입깊이에 영향을 미침을 확인하였다. 비드높이에는 보호가스 Ar 가스, 용입에는 CO<sub>2</sub> 가스, 그리고 비드너비에는 Ar+O<sub>2</sub> 가스가 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 용접부의 경도에서는 Ar+10% O<sub>2</sub> 와 Ar+20% CO<sub>2</sub> 가스 사용 시 결정립계 페라이트와 다각형 페 라이트가 생성되어 낮았으며, Ar+2% O<sub>2</sub> 가스를 사용했을 때는 아시큘러 페라이트와 베이나이트적 페라이트와 사이 드플레이트 페라이트가 생성되어 경도가 높았다. The present study was carried out to investigate the effects of welding parameters such as current, voltage and shielding gases on the bead shape, microstructures and hardness. It was confirmed that bead height was lowered and bead depth was increased with increasing voltages while height, depth and width of beads increased with welding currents. The hardness of weld metals with Ar+10% O<sub>2</sub> and Ar+20% CO<sub>2</sub> was low due to the formation of grain boundary and polygonal ferrites while that of weld metals with Ar+2% O<sub>2</sub> was high due to the presence of acicular, bainitic and sideplate ferrites.

Primary autoimmune myelofibrosis, the development of which is not preceded by a well-defined autoimmune disease, has recently been defined as a distinct clinicopathologic syndrome. We report herein a case of a 68-year-old woman who was diagnosed with primary autoimmune myelofibrosis and present a review of the literature. The patient manifested peripheral pancytopenia, was positive for autoantibodies, and developed myelofibrosis with no preceding autoimmune or hematologic disorders. Her condition was dramatically improved after administration of prednisolone. (Korean J Med 2014;86:632-636)

최근 미국의 GPS 뿐만 아니라 주요 국가들이 독자적으로 개발해온 위성항법시스템(GNSS) 개발이 완성단계로 접어들고 있으며, 각 위성시스템을 보정할 수 있는 인프라 및 기술체계 전환이 필요한 시점이다. 이를 위해 현재 정상궤도로 운영 중인 GLONASS에 대해 국립해양측위정보원에서 시범적으로 제공하고 있는 보정정보의 성능을 분석하고 그 이용 가능성을 제시한다. In recent years, the development of GPS navigation system (GNSS), which has been developed not only by US GPS but also by major countries, is entering its final stage. I t is time to change the infrastructure and technology system to correct each satellite system. To do this, we analyze the performance of the differential information provided by National Maritime PNT Office for GLONASS currently operating in its normal orbit, and present the its feasibility.
소방배관용 강관을 위한 반자동 가스메탈아크용접장치 개발과 용접부 특성평가

본 연구에서는 소방배관용 아연도금 강관을 용접하기 위하여 반자동 가스메탈아크용접장치를 개발하고 최적 용접 조건을 확립하고 용접성을 조사하기 위해 보호가스, 전압을 변화시켜 용접시험을 수행하였다. Ar 가스에 O₂를 첨가함으로써 미려한 비드외관과 기공률이 감소되었다. 반자동 용접부는 기계적 강도와 용접이음효율이 수동용접부에 비해 약 1.8배 우수하였으며 수압시험에 의해 건전성이 확인되었다. 본 연구에서 개발된 반자동용접장치로 비숙련자 도 강관용접이 가능하며 용접결함이 적고 용접생산성을 증대시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The semi-automatic gas metal arc welding equipment was developed and the weldability of zinc coated steel pipes was evaluated in terms of strength, porosity and welding parameters including shielding gas composition. The good bead appearance and the reduction of porosity in the welds could be possibly obtained by adding O₂to Ar. The strength and joint efficiency of welds made by the semi-automatic welding equipment was about 1.8 times higher compared with welds manually made. The integrity of welds was confirmed by the water pressure test as well, Finally, it is expected that the weld productivity will be enhanced even unskilled welders can produce quality welds by operating the semi-automatic welding equipment.
Studies on Molecular Structure Changes in Polyethylene/Polypropylene Sheath-Core Monofilament

In this study, changes in the molecular structure of a sheath-core polyethylene (PE)/polypropylene (PP) bicomponent monofilament were investigated using different fractions of sheath or core components. The melt complex viscosity of sheath PE showed a greater shear thinning behavior than core PP. For both as-spun and drawn filaments, the crystal structure of sheath PE developed better than that of core PP. In the as-spun monofilament, the core PP crystal structure did not develop well, while sheath PE showed a more developed crystal structure. Further, sonic velocity indicating the molecular orientation increased upon drawing but was rarely dependent on the sheath PE fraction for both as-spun and drawn monofilaments.
TTIP/TEOA 혼합용액을 이용한 Au/TiO<sub>2</sub> Core-Shell 구조 나노입자 합성

On the synthesis of Au/$TiO_2$ core-shell structure nanoparticle, the effect of concentration of $Ti^{4+}$ and reaction temperature on the morphology and optical property of Au/$TiO_2$ core-shell nanoparticles is examined. A gold colloid was prepared by $HAuCl_4{\cdot}4H_2O\;and\;C_6H_5Na_3{\cdot}2H_2O$. Titanium stock solution was prepared by mixing solution of titanium(IV) isopropoxide (TTIP) and triethanolamine (TEOA). The concentrations of $Ti^{4+}$ stock solution were adjusted to $10.01{\sim}0.3$ mM, and then the gold colloid is added to the $Ti^{4+}$ stock solution. Au/$TiO_2$ core-shell structure nanoparticles could be prepared by the hydrolysis of the $Ti^{4+}$ stock solution at $80^{\circ}C$. The size of synthesized Au nanoparticles was 15 nm. The thickness of $TiO_2$ shell on the surface of gold particles was about 10 nm. The absorption peak of synthesized Au/$TiO_2$ core-shell nanoparticles shifted towards the red end of the spectrum by about 3 nm because of the formation of $TiO_2$ shell on the surface of gold particles. The good $TiO_2$ shell is produced when $Ti^{4+}$ concentration is varied between 0.01 and 0.05 mM, and reaction temperature is maintained at $80^{\circ}C$. The crystal structure of $TiO_2$ shell was amorphous.

Acute pulmonary embolism (PE) ranges from asymptomatic to often fatal, incidentally discovered emboli to massive embolism causing immediate death. Acute PE may occur rapidly and unpredictably and may be difficult to diagnose. Mortality and complications can be reduced by prompt diagnosis and therapy. Untreated PE is associated with a mortality rate of approximately 30 percents. Most patients with PE have endogenous fibrinolysis, although it is not effective enough to prevent PE. A case of spontaneous remission of untreated acute PE has not previously been reported. Here we present a case of spontaneously resolved acute PE without any treatment.
