An unusually large protein complex was found in the cytosol of the hyperthmophilic archaeon. Thermococcus profundus. The purified protein was shown to be a homomultimer of 93 kDa subunit (P93 complex). The complex is extremely heat stable. During 12 hrs incubation with SDS (final concentration 1%) at $85^{\circ}C$, no changed structure could be observed. Electron image analysis of negatively stained showed that the complex has a single, stable characteristic view and a well-preserved core with threefold rotational symmetry. The periphery of the assembly is composed of a nebulose, possibly flexible, component. Based on the projected structure suggest the P93 complex from T. profundus is composed 24 homomultimer.

Recently, as the paradigm of regional development has been transformed into characterization, decentralization and cooperation, small and medium scale development is in the spotlight. In particular, as the transfer of planning authority to local governments accelerates, LH is in the process of seeking to transform itself into a system that is in line with local government demand. The purpose of this study is to elaborate the regional pending projects that meet the demand of the region. The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province is the area where land and housing prices have increased more than three times recently, which is the area of interest in recent years due to the various demand for development projects. Another objective is to establish a local government based on LH's system, it is aimed to derive a collaboration method with local government, province corporation and local researchers. The criteria for deriving the cooperation projects between the local government and LH are basically the ones that can be carried out by LH and future-oriented projects. The process of deriving has undergone the process of statutory planning, unscrupulous plan analysis, and consultation of experts' advisory committees. In order to derive the regional cooperation project, four criteria such as local uniqueness, future possibility, business promotion efficiency, and local cooperation project were set. Major projects of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province are improvement of the surrounding traffic system, construction of the hinterland due to the construction of the second airport, and establishment of Cruise Port(Jeju Port, Seogwipo Port). The role of each entity in the implementation of regional cooperation projects is as follows. Local government should request subsidies for the projects in case of lack of budget support and secure them through competition with other regions. In addition, it should be responsible for the operation and management of the facility once it has been supported and completed smoothly. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport affects each region through approval and subsidy of the development plan. After the development project is completed, it evaluates the development project through monitoring and plays a role of continuously improving the system. As a business operator, the provincial corporation will carry out small-scale projects including non-physical projects such as community participation. In the case of LH regional headquarters, the general manager of the region will establish a comprehensive business plan, secure development availability, and carry out large-scale growth promotion projects.

The purpose of this study is to survey the community support program of Green Belt from 2001 to 2011 and propose the improvement of the institution. For research method, the projects were analyzed by year, area, and category using statistical data. The improvement of the institution was drawn through the opinion survey of the interest group such as residents and public servants. For 10 years, 2007 community support projects were carried out and the total amount of government expenditure was 583.9 billion won. Among the support items, life convenience projects comprise 96.7%. For area, metropolitan area comprise 32.5%. There is a bias in items and areas. According to the survey of the residents and public servants, the satisfaction for the community support program is increasing. But it is necessary to enlarge the direct life cost support, activate community involvement and develop new project type. Proposed new projects are such as making characteristic village for income creation, planning for the landscape preservation using historic and traditional resources, making leisure space for nearby residents, and projects for the aged people. And it is proposed to give incentive to the characteristic village projects through competition.

The objective of this study is to analyze the main factors affecting industrial environmental innovation of Korea. To examine this issue, multiple regression analysis is used for empirical testing. In order to quantify environmental innovation, I used two different variables as the dependent variable : the amount of environmental R&D and the number of environmental patents. The independent variables are PACE (Pollution Abatement and Control Expenditure), value-added, degree of monopoly, and advertising cost. The implications from the statistic analysis are as follows. First, environmental policy increased the amount of environmental innovation, when the number of environmental patents is used as the dependent variable. Second, the amount of value-added has less influence on environmental innovation. Every firm in high value-added industries had few environmental patents. Third, the degree of monopoly has a strong influence on environmental innovation. Monopoly profit is apt to be transferred to R&D or incidental patent expenses. Forth, advertising cost also has a strong influence on environmental innovation in the model where environmental R&D is used as the dependent variable. As advertising cost suggests potential consumer pressure on firms, firms that have high advertising costs have a tendency to use environmental R&D to a large extent. Fifth, the tendency towards environmental innovation induced by environmental policy has grown larger as time has gone by. As environmental problems are a key type of `market failure,` it is important for environmental policy to induce industrial environmental innovation. Innovation-friendly environmental policy is increasingly important and the mutual cooperation of government and industry is essential for implementing this policy.

Urban planning is one of the most important fields in green growth policies because citizens consume huge amount of energy and there are various dynamic forces for green growth in cities at the same time. Accordingly, this study does not only aim at analyzing current legal situation but also presenting alternatives in terms of institutional framework. The results show several problems: fragmented law and authorities, poor incentives, and inadequate sovereignty of local governments. Several alternatives are suggested. The concept of ``green urban planning`` should be included in the Green Growth Act. ``A Greenness`` should be also integrated to National Land Planning Act and reinforced in each acts. In addition, national government needs to provide local governments and private entities with various incentives to enhance institutional feasibility. Therefore, it is necessary for national government to propose act amendments for green urban planning and provide local government with various types of incentives.
