Excessive production of extracellular matrix(ECM), especially collagen, in the liver can produce hepatic fibrosis, and the repeated hepatic fibrosis by various etiologies may result in liver cirrhosis. Liver cirrhosis is the irreversible and terminal state of chronic liver diseases and thus, it is one of the major causes of death in Korea. To block the progress to liver cirrhosis is the main purpose of management for chronic liver diseases. Hepatic stellate cells (HSC) play a key role in the pathogenesis of hepatic fibrosis by producing ECM. The extent of ECM is dependent on the proliferation and activation of HSCs. Therefore, the inhibition of HSC activation is viewed as one of the main ways to block the progress of hepatic fibrosis. Many kinds of experimental animal model with hepatic fibrosis induced by hepatotoxin, alcohol, bile duct ligation, diet and immunologic activation etc. have been produced to investigate the mechanism of hepatic fibrogenesis including HSC activation, ECM production, cytokines and gene expression. In this article, experimental animal models of hepatic fibrogenesis are briefly reviewed. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2001;37:227-232)
뮤지엄 건축 역사의 공백기 보완을 위한 1930년대까지의 초기 근대 뮤지엄 건축 연구

This study traces the flow of modern museum architecture from the 18th to 19th century when the rationalist architectural spirit influenced the museum architecture to the 1930s, before the museums of the modern architectural masters appeared. With early modern museums until the 1930s as a target, which had long been enshrined in classicality, finally contributed to narrowing the gap with the times, but did not receive the right evaluation, this study examines their different architectural styles from previous museums and reveals that they have a significance to announce the departure of modern museums beyond classical ones. The three museums, built in the 1930s, will be identified as respectable early modern museums that will fill the remaining blank space of the history of museum architecture. In this study, modern museums are asymmetric, non-centre oriented, and non decorative. They have multi-directional circulation, and a neutral, open and flexible exhibition space. They also try to align themselves with the modern architectural tendency of the day.

Though a lot of industrial accidents resulted from human errors, conventional researches on human errors concerned on their own research objectives so that they were not applicable directly to industrial fields which require derivation of countermeasures as well as causal factors of human errors. To assist industrial workers who look for a comprehensive model which can explain true causes of human errors in order to prevent industrial accidents, this research aimed to develop a new integrative analysis model by synthesizing conventional models and to validate it with some industrial accident cases.

중첩격자기법(Chimera Grid method)은 독립적으로 구성된 격자를 중첩시켜 하나의 격자계를 만드는 방법을 말한다. 따라서 복잡한 형상을 가진 유동장 해석과, 격자계간 상대운동이 있는 비정상 유동장 해석에 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 내삽을 통해 격자계간의 유동정보를 전달하는 과정에서 Orphan Cell 발생 시 수치해의 성능저하를 가져온다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위해, 전산구조 분야에서 개발된 무요소 보간 기법 중 이동 최소자승법(Moving Least Squares Method)을 도입하였다. 기존의 중첩격자기법의 내삽과정을 위 이동최소자승법으로 대체하여, 다양한 유동장에 적용하였다. 이로부터 기존의 중첩격자기법의 결과와 비교, 해의 질이 향상됨을 확인 하였다.
