In this paper, we present a systematic approach to translating BPML (Business Process Modeling Language) into the π-Calculus. BPML is an executable business process modeling language, like BPEL4WS (Business Process Execution Language for Web Services). It is difficult to find a systematic approach to formalizing these languages; but, by formalizing them, the behavior of the processes can be analyzed and compared so that optimal processes can be designed. For this formalization, we analyzed the activity types and contexts of BPML and suggested the definitions of semantics for each type and context by using the π-Calculus. In addition, we have shown the usefulness of our formalization scheme in that a typical order fulfillment process represented in BPML can be translated into the π-Calculus.

As the IT labor captures an increasing proportion of the total labor, it is important to analyze the contribution of IT labor to national economy. Although there has been abundant research about the effect of IT investments, it is difficult to find a research about IT labor`s economic contribution. Most prior studies on the effect of IT investment have focused on the effect of IT capital investment. This paper empirically explores whether and how IT labor makes contribution to Korean economy. And also this paper examines the economic contribution of IT experts and semi-experts in Korean industries over the 2000 to 2007 period, using production function framework and panel data set for 24 industries constructed from ``Input-Output table` and ``Research on Wage Structure Survey``. Based on the full sample of 120 observations, this study finds that a 1% increase in IT labor wage is associated with 0.042190% increase in added value. In the case of non-manufacturing industries on the sample of 50 observations, this study finds that a 1% increase in IT labor wage is associated with 0.074908% increase in added value. And in the case of IT experts (separated from IT semi-experts), this study finds that a 1% increase in IT expert`s labor wage is associated with 0.013957% increase in added value of all industry. This study provides implication for policy makers and managers. The results suggests that non-manufacturing industries can capture further benefits by increasing investment in IT labor. Building on this study, future research should examine the impact of IT labor at a more detailed industry level and the firm level.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the expression types the design elements of Korean traditional architecture at inner space of Korean restaurants.<BR> Investigation included the indoor structural elements, the decorative elements and the finishing materials. The photos taken at inner space of Korean restaurants were compared with photos of originality, and were sorted by original type and transformed one.<BR> The results were as follows. In structural elements, the floors were finished mostly with vinyl, and the walls mostly with paper. And most of ceilings were the naked rafter or paper-finished. The lattice of chong(井), kyo(交), tti-shapes of windows and doors remained rather original, but the lattice of wan(卍), a(亞), yong(用)-shapes had been transformed.<BR> The design elements of Korean traditional architecture as mentioned above, were applied with different materials and transformed shapes in various ways.

In global shipping logistics, it is important for users to keep track of the location of their continuously moving cargos. Analyzing the GPS data stream coming from the tag which is attached to the cargo, we are able to keep track of the cargo location in terms of going into or out of a certain logistics area using the information of the spatial relationship change between the tag and the logistics area. In this paper, we propose a simulation system for measuring the precision and false alarm rate of the cargo location tracking algorithm which generates spatial events over the global logistics areas. Due to the difficulty of experiment with a real tag, we developed a tag emulator to create a virtual tag which operates exactly like a real tag. We show the cargo location tracking system works correctly with the tag emulator which communicates with it using the same protocol as the real tag.

In this paper, we consider a planning problem arising from printed circuit board manufacturing industries. Given a set of several types of PCBs, component feeders and surface mounting machines in series in a PCB assembly line, the problem is to define the feeder allocation and job sequence with the objective of minimizing the total operation time of the line. We formulate the problem as a mathematical model. And, the problem is proven to be NP-hard, so a genetic algorithm is developed. Finally, we give test results to evaluate the performance of the genetic algorithm.

Recently it has become easier to figure out cargo positional information by using GPS(Global Positioning System) and wireless communication technology. The acceleration of globalization in the shipping logistics is ever more increasing the need to provide visibility, traceability and real time informations of entry, departure of vessel including cargo and status of logistic vehicle entry into each logistic base. Providing such positional information to logistics party by using wireless communication technology can bring effective operation of supply chain and reduction in logistics costs. In the previous paper, I suggested a global location tracking system based on GPS data in global shipping logistics by means of software using GPS data. However, the previous system had a problem of being inadequate to figure out a real time location movement information and was unsatisfactory on quickly searching and checking the location of global logistics hubs according to the longitude and latitude coordinates. Hence, in this paper, I suggest a real-time location tracking system that provided real-time location of the container cargos and logistics hubs can be searched quickly according to the GPS coordinates in global shipping logistics.
