CSR Trend Analysis by Industry using the Sustainability Report

ESG management has recently become an issue and is receiving a lot of attention as awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has increased worldwide. As a result, more countries and companies have started to require to submit the CSR report. Standards for corporate social responsibility have also strengthened to improve brand value and risk management. In the current study, the sustainability report was used to analyze a company's CSR, which is a report that includes sustainable management strategies for corporate social responsibility activities with publishing a 10-year action plan. In order to utilize the unstructured data of the sustainable report, this study analyzed the CEO greeting of the report using text mining method. Based on the extracted CSR keywords, topic modeling was used to identify CSR trends every five years and issue keywords from 2013-2014 and 2018-2019. In addition, since issues and topics may vary depending on the industry, trend keywords were compared and identified differences among industries according to changes in the company's environment. Through identifying the trend of CSR keywords, this study confirmed the expanding concept of CSR and the increasing importance of sustainability reports. This study would be used as basic data for research related to CSR by analyzing unstructured data, considering its uniqueness on data type.
Solution Structure of LXXLL-related Cofactor Peptide of Orphan Nuclear Receptor FTZ-F1

Functional interaction between Drosophila orphan receptor FTZ-F1 (NR5A3) and a segmentation gene product fushi tarazu (FTZ) is crucial for regulating genes related to define the identities of alternate segmental regions in the Drosophila embryo. FTZ binding to the ligand-binding domain (LBD) of FTZ-F1 is of essence in activating its transcription process. We determined solution structures of the cofactor peptide (FTZPEP)derived from FTZ by NMR spectroscopy. The cofactor peptide showed a nascent helical conformation in aqueous solution, however, the helicity was increased in the presence of TFE. Furthermore, FTZPEP formed α-helical conformation upon FTZ-F1 binding, which provides a receptor bound structure of FTZPEP. The solution structure of FTZPEP in the presence of FTZ-F1 displays a long stretch of the α-helix with a bend in the middle of helix.

Vibrio extracellular metalloprotease (vEP), secreted from Vibrio vulnificus, shows various proteolytic function such as prothrombin activation and fibrinolytic activities. Premature form of vEP has an N-terminal (nPP) and a C-terminal (C-ter100) region. The nPP and C-ter100 regions are autocleaved for the matured metalloprotease activity. It has been proposed that two regions play a key role in regulating enzymatic activity of vEP. Especially, C-ter100 has a regulatory function on proteolytic activity of vEP. C-ter100 domain has been cloned into the E. coli expression vectors, pET32a and pGEX 4T-1 with TEV protease cleavage site and purified using gel-filtration chromatography followed by affinity chromatography. To understand how C-ter100 modulates proteolytic activity of vEP, structural studies were performed by heteronuclar multi-dimensional NMR spectroscopy. Backbone 1H, 15N and 13C resonances were assigned by data from standard triple resonance and HCCH-TOCSY experiments. The secondary structures of vEP C-ter100 were determined by TALOS+ and CSI software based on hydrogen/deuterium exchange. NMR data show that C-ter100 of vEP forms a β-barrel structure consisting of eight β-strands.

Purpose The development of the network and mobile industries has induced companies to invest in information systems, leading a new industrial revolution. The Journal of Information Systems, which developed the information system field into a theoretical and practical study in the 1990s, retains a 30-year history of information systems. This study aims to identify academic values and research trends of JIS by analyzing the trends. Design/methodology/approach This study aims to analyze the trend of JIS by compounding various methods, named as TLS mining analysis. TLS mining analysis consists of a series of analysis including Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) weight model, Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling, and a text mining with Semantic Network Analysis. Firstly, keywords are extracted from the research data using the TF-IDF weight model, and after that, topic modeling is performed using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) algorithm to identify issue keywords. Findings The current study used the summery service of the published research paper provided by Korea Citation Index to analyze JIS. 714 papers that were published from 2002 to 2012 were divided into two periods: 2002-2011 and 2012-2021. In the first period (2002-2011), the research trend in the information system field had focused on E-business strategies as most of the companies adopted online business models. In the second period (2012-2021), data-based information technology and new industrial revolution technologies such as artificial intelligence, SNS, and mobile had been the main research issues in the information system field. In addition, keywords for improving the JIS citation index were presented.
