A New Support Vector Compression Method Based on Singular Value Decomposition

In this letter, we propose a new compression method for a high dimensional support vector machine (SVM). We used singular value decomposition (SVD) to compress the norm part of a radial basis function SVM. By deleting the least significant vectors that are extracted from the decomposition, we can compress each vector with minimized energy loss. We select the compressed vector dimension according to the predefined threshold which can limit the energy loss to design criteria. We verified the proposed vector compressed SVM (VCSVM) for conventional datasets. Experimental results show that VCSVM can reduce computational complexity and memory by more than 40% without reduction in accuracy when classifying a 20,958 dimension dataset.

IPA분석을 통한 재해구호물품 평가 및 개선 - 경기도 수해 이재민을 대상으로 -

본 연구는 재해이재민 지원서비스 중 재해구호물품을 중심으로 이재민의 Needs 파악과 효율성을 평가하고자 하였다. 분석결과, 응급구호세트와 취사구호세트의 경우 1차 필수품과 2차 필수품으로 새롭게 분류되었다. 1차 필수품의 경우 생활에 직접적으로 연결되는 물품, 2차 필수품의 경우 있으면 편리하긴 하나 생활에 꼭 필요하지 않은 물품으로 정의내릴 수 있었다.이는 향후 중점개선사항으로 도출된 1차 필수품들을 2차 필수품의 제외 및 대체를 통하여 개선할 수 있으며 추가적으로 고려할 수 있는 물품과의 교체가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 향후 재해 구호물품과 관련된 계획 수립시 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

2018 평창동계올림픽 대회 운영요원의 올림픽 참여 경험 연구

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to narrate the personal experience of operating personnel participating in the 2018 Pyeong-Chang Winter Olympics and to confirm the meaning of their Olympic participation experience. To achieve this goal, the question of research is: First, How does the time narratives of Olympic participation experience appear? Second, how does the place narratives of the Olympic participation experience of the Olympic Games operating personnel appear? Third, how do the relational(sociality) narratives of the Olympic participation experience of the Olympic Games operating personnel appear? Methods : In order to achieve the purpose of the study, narratives were adopted. Specifically, the research was conducted in order to enter the site (story) according to the procedure of narrative exploration, to exist in the story space, to construct the field text, to write the research text from the site text to the research text. Data was collected mainly through in-depth interviews with four research participants, and records related to research subjects were used as research aids through collection. Conclusions : First, through a time narratives, the Olympic participation experience of the Olympic Games operating personnel was organized into the processes of 'before Olympic Games', 'in Olympic Games' and 'after Olympic Games' to derive significant positive and negative experiences. Second, through spatial narratives, the Olympic participation experience of the Olympic Games operating personnel was organized into 'working place', 'living place' and 'other place' to derive a significant experience of positive and negative. Third, through the relational narratives, the Olympic participation experience of the Olympic Games operating personnel was composed of 'relationship between operating personnel and colleagues(operating personnel), 'relationship between operating personnel and officials and upperclassmen' and 'relationship between operating personnel and athletes' to derive a significant positive and negative experience. 연구목적 : 이 연구는 ‘2018 평창 동계올림픽대회’에 참여한 운영요원의 개인적 경험을 내러티브 탐색하고 그들의 올림픽 참여 경험의 의미가 무엇인지 확인하는데 목적이 있다, 이 같은 목적을 달성하기 위해 연구문제는 첫째, 올림픽 대회 운영요원의 올림픽 참여 경험의 시간적 내러티브는 어떻게 나타나는가? 둘째, 올림픽 대회 운영요원의 올림픽 참여 경험의 공간적 내러티브는 어떻게 나타나는가? 셋째, 올림픽 대회 운영요원의 올림픽 참여 경험의 관계적 내러티브는 어떻게 나타나는가? 연구방법 : 연구의 목적 달성을 위해서 내러티브 탐구를 채택하였다. 구체적으로, 내러티브 탐구의 절차에 따라 현장(이야기) 속으로 들어가기, 이야기 공간에 존재하기, 현장텍스트 구성하기, 현장텍스트에서 연구텍스트로, 연구텍스트 작성하기 순으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구참여자 4명을 대상으로 주로 심층면담을 통한 자료 수집이 이루어졌으며, 연구참여자의 연구 주제와 관련된 기록물은 수집을 통해 연구 보조 자료로 활용되었다. 결론 : 이 연구에서는 내러티브 탐구에서 고려해야 할 3차원적 탐구 공간인 시간성, 공간성, 사회성의 맥락을 중심으로 구분하여 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 시간적 내러티브를 통해 올림픽 대회 운영요원의 올림픽 참여 경험을 ‘올림픽 대회 전’, ‘올림픽 대회 중’, ‘올림픽 대회 후’ 순으로 이루어지는 과정으로 구성하여 긍정적, 부정적의 유의미한 경험을 도출하였다. 둘째, 공간적 내러티브를 통해 올림픽 대회 운영요원의 올림픽 참여 경험을 ‘업무 공간’, ‘생활공간’, ‘기타 공간’으로 구성하여 긍정적, 부정적의 유의미한 경험을 도출하였다. 셋째, 관계적 내러티브를 통해 올림픽 대회 운영요원의 올림픽 참여 경험을 ‘운영요원과 동료(운영요원)와의 관계’, ‘운영요원과 관계자·상급자와의 관계’, ‘운영요원과 선수와의 관계’로 구성하여 긍정적, 부정적의 유의미한 경험을 도출하였다.

WAVE-LTE 하이브리드 V2X 통신시스템의 커버리지 테스트

Recently, with the interest in the 4th industrial revolution, the demand for autonomous driving technology is increasing. V2X communication technology is a core technology for autonomous vehicles that exchanges information with objects such as vehicles, infrastructure, networks, and pedestrians through wired and wireless networks. In this paper, we present the results of the hybrid V2X communication system, which is a hybrid design of WAVE and LTE, and the coverage test to confirm the performance of the system. Through coverage measurement, we show that the hybrid V2X communication performance is superior to the existing LTE or WAVE single communication system in communication coverage, so it can be effectively applied to autonomous driving services. 최근 4차산업 혁명에 대한 관심과 더불어 자율주행 기술에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. V2X (vehicle to everything) 통신기술은 자율주행차량에 있어 핵심기술로서 유무선 망을 통해 차량, 인프라, 네트워크, 보행자 등과 같은 객체들과 정보를 교환하는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 WAVE (wireless access in vehicular environment)와 LTE (long term evolution)를 복합설계하여 구현한 하이브리드 V2X 통신 시스템의 개발결과와 시스템의 성능을 확인하기 위해 커버리지 테스트를 수행한 결과를 제시한다. 커버리지 측정을 통해 하이브리드 V2X 통신 성능이 기존의 LTE나 WAVE의 단일 통신 시스템보다 통신 커버리지에 있어 우수하여 자율주행서비스에 효율적으로 적용 가능하다는 것을 보인다.

Objectives : In traditional Korean medicine literature, Succium(琥珀) is known to be effective in eliminating edema. However, pumpkins are misused in folk remedies to manage edema, because succium and pumpkin is homophony to 'Hobak' in Korean. The purpose of this study is to report the effects of Succium decoction on two patients with edema after plastic surgery. Methods : We treated two patients with edema after plastic surgery using Succium decoction. Numeric rating scale (NRS) of edema, photograph of changes in edema before and after treatment were analyzed to evaluate the effects of treatment. Results : After 2 weeks of administration, NRS for facial edema decreased from 5 to 3 and 2 to 1, respectively. Photograph of edema decreased after treatment, and there were no adverse events. Conclusions : This case report suggests that Succium decoction can be effective in treating edema after plastic surgery.
