This work proposes a 10b 100MS/s 27.2mW 0.8㎟ 0.18um CMOS ADC for WLAN such as an IEEE 802.11n standard. The proposed ADC employs a three-stage pipeline architecture and minimizes power consumption and chip area by sharing as many circuits as possible. Two multiplying DACs share a single amplifier without MOS switches connected in series while the shared amplifier does not show a conventional memory effect. All three flash ADCs use only one resistor ladder while the second and third flash ADCs share all pre-amps to further reduce power consumption and chip area. The interpolation circuit employed in the flash ADCs halves the required number of pre-amps and an input-output isolated dynamic latch reduces the increased kickback noise caused by the pre-amp sharing. The prototype ADC implemented in a 0.18um n-well 1P6M CMOS process shows the DNL and INL within 0.83LSB and 1.52LSB at 10b, respectively. The ADC measures an SNDR of 52.1dB and an SFDR of 67.6dB at a sampling rate of 100MS/s. The ADC with an active die area of 0.8㎟ consumes 27.2mW at 1.8V and 100MS/s. 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11n 표준과 같은 근거리 무선통신망 응용을 위한 10비트 100MS/s 27.2mW 0.8㎟ 0.18um CMOS ADC를 제안한다. 제안하는 ADC는 고속 동작에 적합한 3단 파이프라인 구조를 기반으로 제작되었으며 각단에 공통적으로 사용되는 증폭기, 프리앰프 및 저항열을 최대한 효율적으로 공유함으로써 전력 소모 및 면적을 최소화하였다. 첫 번째 MDAC과 두 번째 MDAC에는 스위치 저항과 메모리 효과가 없는 증폭기 공유기법을 사용하였고, 세 개의 4비트 flash ADC에는 단 하나의 저항열만을 사용하는 동시에 두 번째 flash ADC와 세 번째 flash ADC에는 프리앰프를 공유하여 전력 소모와 면적을 최소화하였다. 보간 기법을 사용하여 요구되는 프리앰프의 수를 반으로 줄였으며, 프리앰프의 공유 및 보간 기법으로 인한 영향을 최소화하기 위해 낮은 킥-백 잡음을 갖는 비교기를 추가로 제안하였다. 제안하는 시제품 ADC는 0.18um 1P6M CMOS 공정으로 제작되었으며, 측정된 DNL 및 INL은 10비트 해상도에서 각각 최대 0.83LSB와 1.52LSB의 수준을 보이며, 동적 성능으로는 100MS/s의 동작 속도에서 각각 52.1dB의 SNDR과 67.6dB의 SFDR을 갖는다. 시제품 ADC의 칩 면적은 0.8㎟이며 전력 소모는 1.8V 전원 전압을 인가하였을 때 100MS/s에서 27.2mW이다.
Efficiency Improvement for Concentrated Flux IPM Motors for Washing Machines

Concentrated flux interior permanent magnet (CFIPM) motors have the advantage thattheir utilization of flux linkage is more efficient than that of general IPM motors and CFIPM motorsare suitable for washing machine motors, which demand low-speed, high-torque specifications. However, low efficiency occurs in the low-speed high-torque mode considering the high-speedoperation for spin mode. This paper proposes a magnet overhang structure between the rotor core thatreduces leakage flux and improves efficiency for a CFIPM in wash mode. Optimization of the 3Ddesign of magnet overhang structures is performed to improve the efficiency with the same quantity ofpermanent magnets. The validity of the optimal design is experimentally verified through thefabrication of prototypes.
영구자석 매입형 전동기의 누설자속 저감 방안에 대한 연구

본 논문에서는 자속집중형 IPM type BLDC 전동기의 누설자속을 저감하고자 Rotor core와 Magnet 적층높이에 Overhang 구조를 제안한다. 또한 3차원 F.E.M 해석을 통하여 제안된 모델에 대한 상역기전력 및 코깅 토오크, T.H.D의 크기를 비교하여 Rotor core의 누설자속이 개선되는 Overhang 구조를 도출하였다.

A site survey in two apartment complexes and a nursery experiment were carried out in this study to provide basic data of the long-pending growth characteristics of major landscaping trees, such as Picea abies, Pinus parviflora, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Magnolia denudata, Acer buergerianum and Acer palmatum. According to the main results, the survival rates were very low, reflected by the average survival rate of the four species was 95% at the nursery site. And, it was presumed that the site conditions of two apartment complexes for tree growth were very inferior to those of the nursery site, taking into consideration that the increment percents of growth factors of the tree species at the nursery site were relatively higher than those of the apartment complexes. The distribution patterns of the current growth factors of trees showed a normal distribution. The regression equation of breast diameter on diameter at root collar showed especially high predictability. And, it was thought that the most critical limiting environmental factors on tree growth at the apartment complexes were found to be alkaline pH caused by excessive Ca, high percent base saturation, insufficiency of available moisture content, bad drainage due to inferior soil texture, high soil hardness, lack of organic matter and shortage of cation exchange capacity in soil.

The objective of this study was to clarify the effect of addition of green tea powder(0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%) to Yackwa on quality and preservation. Addition of 4% green tea powder turned out to give positive effect on expansion. In test of physical characters, addition of green tea powder had a tendency to lower hardness, cohesiveness, springness and gumminess but to enhance brittleness. Considering the rancidity of oil within Yackwa, addition of green tea powder tended to show lower acid value and peroxide value than non-added treatment but its difference was slight. At the sensory test, surface color, bitterness and green tea flavor were strong but sweet and savory taste weak when green team powder was added(p〈0.05). Overall quality appeared to have improved to 5.55 points which is compared to non-addition when the powder was added 4%(p〈0.05). In conclusion, 4% addition of green tea powder would be the usefull method to enhance preference and quality of Yackwa.
