Purpose: The aim of this study was based on age of 40 to 69 women to prove the effects of neuromuscular training and complex training on upper-extremity pain with joint range of motion. Method: We had a NM+Complex group (n=6, age range 50.50±8.76), and a Control group (n=6, age range 59.83±6.43). NM+Complex group executed both neuromuscular training and complex training, but Control group only worked out the complex training. These neuromuscular training and complex training were by sling exercise, twice a week; each time 8 movements with 3 sets, maintain posture for 5 to 8 seconds. Stretching exercise operated without any loads, 15 times slowly with 3 sets. Resistance exercise operated once a week with 15RM load, 15times with 3 sets. Comparison before and after upper-extremity pains by DASH Score, and joint range of motion by goniometer. Result: Firstly, in the NM+Complex group, right and left shoulder joint range of motion had significant difference with time interval for measurement on flexion. In case with only left shoulder joint range of motion increase, it showed the difference with time interval for measurement on external and internal rotation. Secondly, in the Control group, left shoulder range of motion had significant difference with time interval for measurement on flexion and external rotation. If only left shoulder joint range of motion increase, it showed the difference on extensor and internal rotation. Lastly, upper-extremity pain differences by DASH Score showed no big differences on NM+Complex group, but the Control group showed significant difference. Conclusion: The result of this research is, based on 40 to 69 age of women, to release upper-extremity pain and increase joint range of motion, just taking a complex training is not quite efficient than taking both neuromuscular training and complex training.

An intermediate processor has been developed to enable flexible body vehicle dynamic analysis by interfacing between a commercial finite element program ANSYS and a vehicle dynamics program AUTODYN7. The program carries out inertia relief computation for the static correction mode and diagonalizes consistent mass matrix in order to provide lumped mass entries and lumped rotary inertia entries to the flexible body equations of motion. Using DADS IP program, the developed program has been verified. The capabilities of the program have been proved by the DADS Jeep simulation.<br/>

Purpose: The primary aim of this study was to examine the effects of 8-week lower trapezius strengthening exercise (LTSE) on shoulder pain, function and archery performance. The secondary aim was to identify main factors that have something to do with injury prevention and performance enhancement for elite archers. Methods: Thirty-one elite archers were recruited and evenly assigned into the LTSE group (n=16) and into the control group (n=15) based on gender and athletes’ career. Shoulder pain was evaluated using Numeric pain rating scale (NPRS). Shoulder function was assessed using the Western Ontario Shoulder Instability Index (WOSI), upper quarter Y balance test (UQYBT), Trapezius and Deltoid muscle activity ratios by surface electromyography and the angle of scapula elevation/abduction by 3-dimentional motion analyses. Archery performance was estimated using draw force line (DFL) angle at full bowstring draw position and the scores acquired from real archery shooting. After the baseline measurements, the 8-week LTSEs were implemented and the post-exercise measurements were conducted. Results: In the LTSE group, NPRS score and WOSI score significantly decreased after exercise program. The activity ratio of upper to lower trapezius muscle, scapula elevation angle and the DFL angle were also significantly reduced. The UQYBT scores significantly increased on both shoulders. Conclusion: Eight weeks of LTSE has reduced shoulder pain in archers and improved shoulder function and performance factors.

Small cell carcinoma usually occurs in lung, but extrapulmonary small cell carcinomas can occur in any sites of body. Most sites of extrapulmonary small cell carcinoma reported were esophagus. And small cell carcinomas occurred in head and neck area were reported rarely. Extrapulmonary small cell carcinoma could be diagnosed when there is no evidence of primary lung lesion on chest X-ray, CT scan of chest and bronchoscopy. The authors experienced a case of small cell carcinoma of left submandibular lymph node in 64-year-old male patient. Biopsy specimen showed poorly differentiated carcinoma but immunohistochemical study showed small cell carcinoma. The chest X-ray and CT scan of chest showed no evidence of primary lung lesion. The patient received chemotherapy(etoposide plus cisplatin) and concurrent chemoradiotherapy using weekly taxol which resulted in good clinical remission. He is still alive 8 months after diagnosis without evidence of lung disease. We report our case with a brief review of literatures.

57.8% (26/45) of breast cancer tissues, in 20.0% (2/10) of benign tumor tissues, and in 10.0% (1/10) of noncancerous breast tissues (Chi-square test, p<0.05). And it was detected in 16.7% (2/12) of metastatic lymph nodes. 3) The positivity of EGFR of stomach cancers was gradually increased from 25.0% of stage 1, 45.8% of stage 2, 61.8% of stage 3 to 77.8% of stage 4 (Bartholomew test, p<0.01). Moreover the positivity was gradually increased according to tumor invasion and lymph node metastasis (relationship of expression of EGFR with histological type, distant metastasis, localization of cancer. The positivity of EGFR of human colon cancers was also gradually increased from 12.5% of stage A, 22.2% of stage B1, 16.7% of stage B2, 42.8% of stage C1 to 76.9% of stage C2 (Bartholomew test, p<0.05). And the positivity of EGFR was related to their depth of invasion of cancer cells (Chi-square test, p<0.05). There was no relation between the positivity of EGFR and the size, site of cancer. The EGFR was expressed only in well differentiated cancers (47.6%, 10/21) and moderately differentiated (34.8%, 8/23) cancers, while not expressed in poorly differentiated (0.0%, 0/5) colon cancers (Bartholomew test, p<0.05). The positivity of EGFR of breast cancers was also related to clinical stage; positivity of stage 1 was 60.0%, stage 2 was 62.1%, and stage 3 was 45.5%, respectively (Chi-square test, p<0.05). The positivity of EGFR was related to breast tumor size; positivity of tumor size<2㎝ was 60.0%, tumor size 2-5㎝ was 61.3%, tumor size>5㎝ was 44.4%, respectively (Chi -square test, p<0.05). 4) There was no correlation of the staining percentage of EGFR with clinical stage, tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis, and distant metastasis of stomach cancers. The staining intensity was in inverse proportion to clinical stage and lymph node metastasis (measure of association, gamma, p<0.005, p<0.005, respectively), while no correlation was observed with distant metastasis. The staining intensity of EGFR was gradually increased according to clinical stages of colon cancers (measure of association, gamma, p<0.05). It was increased in stage 1 and 2 than stage 3 of breast cancers (measure of association, gamma, p<0.05). 5) The patients with EGFR-positive adenocarcinoma had much worse prognosis than those with EGFR-negative adenocarcinoma (log-rank test, p<0.0005). The mean survival duration of the patients with EGFR-positive was shorter than those with EGFR-negative (32 months vs. 48 months, median survival). The expression of EGFR had an inverse relation between both estrogen and progesterone receptor expressions (Chi-square test, p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggested that this improved immunohistochemical technique offers a rapid, economic, reliable and sensitive method for detection of EGFR. In stomach cancer, the expression of EGFR may act on the tumor invasiveness and lymph node metastasis to some degree, but not on distant metastasis. In colon cancer, the more the clinical stage progress, the more it may act on tumor invasiveness and metastasis. In breast cancer, it may play an important role in early stage than late. Namely, the expression of EGFR may act on different stage of each cancer and may serve as a useful prognostic marker of malignancy in patients with stomach, colon, and breast cancer in Korea.
다물체 동력학 시스템의 조인트 반력 해석을 위한 효율적인 공식

An efficient formulation has been developed for a reaction force analysis of mechanical systems. Recursive dynamics with relative coordinates is employed for motion analysis of multibody mechanical systems. In the conventional reaction force computation based on the Newton-Euler equations, reaction forces are recursively obtained from the tree-end body to the base body of the serially connected multibody systems. Whereas, the proposed formulation computes reaction forces only for the selected joints, taking full advantage of using already evaluated terms in the equations of motion. The efficiency of the proposed formulation has been proved by operational counts, comparing with that of the conventional Newton-Euler formulation. A simulation of a gun and turret subsystem of a military tank has been carried out to validate solutions of reaction forces from the proposed formulation, by comparing with the solution from the commercial dynamic analysis program DADS. This formulation is expected to be well suited for the virtual prototyping simulation based design.
