In order to find the distribution, causes and treatments of cleft lip and/or palate, I analyzed 113 patients of cleft lip and/or palate who were treated in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, School of Dentistry, Wonkwang University, Iksan, Chunbuk, KOREA from September 1984 to August 1995. The obtained results were as follows. 1. In total 113 patients of cleft lip and/or palate, male patients were 63 cases (56%) and female patients were 50 cases (44%). 2. In distribution of cleft lip and/or palate, cleft lip patients were 30 cases (27%), cleft palate patients were 23 cases (20%) and cleft lip and palate patients were 60 cases (53%). 3. Unilateral cleft lip patients (78 cases: 87%) were larger than bilateral cleft lip. In unilateral cleft lip patients, left side cleft lip patients (45 cases: 50%) were larger than right side cleft lip patients (33 cases: 37%). 4. Possible causes of cleft lip and/or palate were related with familial tendency, drug intoxication, malnutrition, old maternal age, stress and hypoxia during 4-8 weeks of pregnancy period. 5. The favorite treated method of cleft lip was Millard rotation-advancement method. Probably the most popular operated period was 3 months. 6. The useful operating technique of cleft palate was Wardill V-Y flap method. The most popular period has been 18 to 24 months. 7. In 11 patients with velopharyngeal insufficiency, hypernasality decreased by superior based pharyngeal flap pharyngoplasty. 8. Cleft alveolus was treated with autogenous and allogeneic bone graft. The most appropriate operation period was 9 to 11 years.

This study was conducted to verify the symbolic narrative, brand image, and customer's emotional response of hair salon Juno. The subjects of this study were 450 customers who use beauty salons, and data were collected through self-response questionnaires about the symbol mark narrative, brand image, and customer response. The results of this study are as follows. First, there is a significant positive correlation between symbolic narratives and brand images. Second, symbolic narrative had a significant positive (+) effect on customer's emotional response. Third, it was found that brand image had a mediating effect on customer's emotional response. Based on the results of this study, a plan to increase the revisit intention of beauty salon customers was suggested.

본 논문에서는 적응적으로 음성패킷 재생지연을 결정하는 방안을 제안한다. 재생 지연은 패킷이 네트웍 내의 여러 노드를 거치면서 겪는 네트웍 지연과 수신단에서 수신후 재생하기까지의 버퍼링 지연의 합으로 이루어진다. 음성 패킷의 네트웍 지연 평균을 추정하여 용인할 수 있을 만큼의 재생 손실을 유지하면서 최대한 짧은 버퍼 지연을 갖도록 재생지연 값을 산출한다. 이러한 재생 지연은 기본적으로 동기 단위인 음성의 talkspurt마다 새로이 결정된다. 또한, 네트웍 지연의 변화가 talkspurt 중간이나 silence 구간에 크게 일어나는 경우에도 손실률을 낮추기 위해 재생 지연을 새로이 결정한다. Talkspurt내에서 패킷들은 발생 주기와 동일한 주기로 재생된다. 재생지연 값보다 큰 네트웍 지연을 가지고 도착하는 피킷들은 재생되지 못하고 손실로 처리된다. 제안된 음성 재생지연 결정 방안은 변화하는 네트웍 지연에 따라 적절한 재생 지연을 결정하여 지연 시간을 줄이면서도 낮은 재생 손시률을 얻을 수 있다. In this paper, a mechanism is proposed to adjust adaptively the playout delay of voice packets. The playout delay consists of the network delay which packets incur while traversing the network and the buffering delay while packets wait till playout at the receiver. The playout delay is till calculated from the estimate for mean network delays so that no more than the acceptable fraction are lost and that the buffering delay is reduced as small as possible. Basically, the playout delay changes from talkspurt to talkspurt. In addition, when the network delay changes radically in the middle of talkspurt or silence, the playout delay is recalculated to reduce the loss. Within a talkspurt, packets are played out in a periodic. manner, thus reproducing their periodic generation at the source. If a packet having a larger network delay than its playout delay is received at the receiver, the packet could not be played out and should be dropped. The proposed algorithm in this work, which chooses the playout delay in the face of varying network delay, can achieve short delay and a low rate of lost packets.
The Formality and Landscape Significance of Geomundo Samhopalkyung

The research results on the examination of the characteristic and value of Samhopalkyung (三湖八景, the eight sceneries of Samho) as an important source of Geomundo’s tourism through symbolic analysis on the scenic formality and significance of Geomundo Samhopalkyung. The 1st and 2nd sceneries of Samhopalkyung employs the motif of Sosalpalkyung; Gyuleun Kim Lyu, the subject of Palkyungsi (poetry of the eight sceneries), which is the origin of Palkyung (the eight sceneries), is understood as the observed scenery of his residence and safe haven. The main subject of Samhopalkyung combines formal factors and endemic factors, such as the pavilion, rain, waves, setting sun, returning ship, sandy beach of the sea, fishing light, and the clouds, in which the panoramic scenic characteristic of a fishing village is emphasized. Most of the sceneries are time sensitive landscape type and view type sceneries; Samhopalkyung holds the variety of various visual ranges, and includes the sceneries that demonstrate property of sound landscape. Geomundo Samhopalkyung pursues the poetic tension, and dialectic composition through the juxtaposition and confrontation of each scenery to apportion contrasting directions, distances, and time, such as night and day, sky and sea, coastal waters and deep waters, and the East and the West, in which the traces of agony to embrace the indigenous aesthetic characteristic of the sea, holding the universal order, and scenic significance, can be found. Ultimately, the dignity of oceanicinsular sceneries based on the three dimensional spatial-temporal elements of direction, space, distance, and time, is discovered within the Samhopalkyung.
