        경주시 양북면 단층암의 원소거동과 광물조성 특성

        단층활동 과정에서 암석 내 화학조성과 광물 조성 간의 연관성을 이해하기 위한 목적으로 경주시 양북면 용당리에 발달하는 단층암에 대하여 XRF, ICP, XRD, EPMA/BSE 분석을 시행하여 단층암 내의 광물조성 및 원소의 거동 경향성을 파악하였다. 단층암의 대표적인 주성분으로서 SiO₂는 61.6~71.0%의 범위로 가장 높은 함량을 나타내며, Al₂O₃는 10.8~15.8%이다. Na₂O는 0.22~4.63%, K₂O는 2.02~4.89%이고, Fe₂O₃는 3.80~12.5% 범위로 나타나 단층암 내에서 특히 이들 원소의 편차가 크다. 각력대에서 비지대로 갈수록 감소하는 경향을 나타내는 원소에는 Na₂O, Al₂O₃, K₂O, SiO₂, CaO, Ba, Sr 등이 있고, 증가하는 경향을 나타내는 원소에는 Fe₂O₃, MgO, MnO, Zr, Hf, Rb 등이 있다. 이러한 화학적 거동은 각력대가 대부분 석영, 장석류와 같은 주요 조암광물로 구성되는 반면, 비지대는 일라이트와 같은 점토광물이 다량 함유되는 것과 밀접한 관련성이 있다. 본 단층대에서는 기존 광물의 변질과 동시에 점토광물이 생성되는 데 있어 단층 활동에 수반된 유체활동이 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 단층활동 초기에는 파쇄대가 열수의 통로로 작용하는 과정에서, 주원소 및 미량원소, 희토류원소는 기존 광물로부터 용탈되어 높은 원소 유동성을 나타내었으나, 파쇄대 중심부가 비지대로 점차 변화하는 과정에서는 이차적으로 형성된 점토광물로 인해 단층대의 투수성이 감소하고, 점토광물이 풍부해진 비지대 내에 농집되므로 낮은 원소 유동성을 가진 것으로 해석된다. This study is focused on element behaviors and mineral compositions of the fault rock developed in Yongdang-ri, Yangbuk-myeon, Gyeongju City, Korea, using XRF, ICP, XRD, and EPMA/BSE in order to better understand the chemical variations in fault rocks during the fault activity, with emphasis on dependence of chemical mobility on mineralogy across the fault zone. As one of the main components of the fault rocks, SiO₂ shows the highest content which ranges from 61.6 to 71.0%, and Al₂O₃ is also high as having the 10.8~15.8% range. Alkali elements such as Na₂O and K₂O are in the range of 0.22~4.63% and 2.02~4.89%, respectively, and Fe₂O₃ is 3.80~12.5%, indicating that there are significant variations within the fault rock. Based on the chemical characteristics in the fault rocks, it is evident that the fault gouge zone is depleted in Na₂O, Al₂O₃, K₂O, SiO₂, CaO, Ba and Sr, whereas enriched in Fe₂O₃, MgO, MnO, Zr, Hf and Rb relative to the fault breccia zone. Such chemical behaviors are closely related to the difference in the mineral compositions between breccia and gouge zones because the breccia zone consists of the rock-forming minerals including quartz and feldspar, whereas the gouge zone consists of abundant clay minerals such as illite and chlorite. The alteration of the primary minerals leading to the formation of the clay minerals in the fault zone was affected by the hydrothermal fluids involved in fault activity. Taking into account the fact that major, trace and rare earth elements were leached out from the precursor minerals, it is assumed that the element mobility was high during the first stage of the fault activity because the fracture zone is interpreted to have acted as a path of hydrothermal fluids. Moving toward the later stage of fault activity, the center of the fracture zone was transformed into the gouge zone during which the permeability in the fault zone gradually decreased with the formation of clay minerals. Consequently, elements were effectively constrained in the gouge zone mostly filled with authigenic minerals including clay minerals, characterized by the low element mobility.

        Purpose : The purpose of this study is to examine the Effect of Lunge Exercise on the Balance of Stable and Unstable Supporting surface. Method : The experimenter was a healthy twenties male and female. The period was two weeks, divided into a stable group and a unstable group. Setting the holding time 4 sec 3 sets of 10 times using the Stable and Unstable Supporting Surfaces. The break time was set at one minute for each set. Balance cushions were used for unstable supporting surfaces. Results : After Lunge Exercise, Both groups had an impact on improving their ability to balance. Conclusion : There has not been much change in the ability to balance the stable and Unstable Supporting Surfaces. However, considering surface conditions, the pre and post exercise comparisons had an effect on improving the ability to balance.

        성인 남성근로자의 체중감소행동 변화단계에 따른 식생활 지침 실천 양상 및 건강신념 비교

        This study compared levels of health and dietary behavior practices and health beliefs according to the stage of weight loss behavior change of Korean male workers. A self-administered survey questionnaire was collected from 411 male adult workers residing in Seoul, Kyeonggi, Chungcheong region. Practices of health related behavior, including smoking, drinking, exercise, work related physical activity, and dietary behavior according to dietary guidelines were evaluated. In addition, the levels of perceived benefit, perceived barrier, perceived susceptibility, perceived seriousness, and perceived cue to action from the health belief model were measured according to the stages of weight loss behavior change. Significant differences in BMI, level of daily exercise, and practices of dietary behavior according to dietary guidelines were observed among stages of weight loss behavior change. Subjects who were in action/maintenance stage showed a more desirable level of health behavior and health belief model variables, except perceived barrier. Based on the findings of this study, it is suggested that subjects with different stages of behavior change need an appropriate specific nutrition education method and material for improvement of nutrition education efficacy.

        경주시 양북면 단층암의 광물 조성과 입도 분포 특징

        경주시 양북면 용당리에 발달한 단층암을 대상으로 X선 회절 분석(XRD), 광학현미경 분석, 레이저 입도 분석, 프랙탈 차원 분석을 적용하여 단층암의 광물 조성과 미구조, 잔류입자의 분포 특성을 연구하였다. 단층핵은 약 1.5 m 두께로 발달하며 이 중 각력대는 약 1.2m, 단층핵의 가장 중심부인 비지대는 평균 20cm의 얇은 두께로 노출되어 있다. 각력대에서는 석영, 장석류 등의 조암광물이 주 구성 광물로서 산출되고 비지대에서는 녹니석, 일라이트 등의 점토광물이 주 구성 광물로서 산출된다. 단층암에서 빈번하게 산출되는 맥상광물, 황철석, 변질 광물 등은 단층활동과 더불어 열수변질 작용이 수반되었음을 시사하고 있다. 현미경에 의한 구획 점셈(box counting), Image J에 의한 영상분석 및 레이저 입도 분석에 기초한 프랙탈 차원값은 단층암의 입자 파쇄 특성을 잘 보여준다. 세 가지 방법으로 구한 프랙탈 차원값(D)은 각력대에서 비지대로 갈수록 그 값이 증가하고 비지대 내에서는 공통적으로 높은 차원값을 갖는다. 비지대 내에서는 D값의 변화가 상대적으로 적으며, 일정한 경향성이 나타나지 않는다. 이는 각력대에서는 입자들의 대량파쇄가 우세하게 발생하고, 단층운동이 계속되어 생성된 비지대에서는 입자의 마모가 보다 우세하게 발생하였음을 시사한다. 연구지역 단층암의 광물 조성과 입자 분포 특성은 다중 단층 운동과 열수변질 작용이 본 연구지역 단층대의 진화에 큰 영향을 끼쳤음을 지시한다. 단층암에서의 프랙탈 차원값이 측정 기법에 따라 차이가 발생하므로 프랙탈 차원값의 상대적인 비교는 보다 신중히 이용되어야 될 것으로 생각된다. This paper is focused on mineral compositions, microstructures and distributional characters of remained grains in the fault rocks collected from a fault developed in Yongdang-ri, Yangbuk-myeon, Gyeongju City, Korea, using X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical microscope, laser grain size analysis and fractal dimension analysis methods. The exposed fault core zone is about 1.5 meter thick. On the average, the breccia zone is 1.2 meter and the gouge zone is 20cm thick, respectively. XRD results show that the breccia zone consists predominantly of rock-forming minerals including quartz and feldspar, but the gouge zone consists of abundant clay minerals such as chlorite, illite and kaolinite. Mineral vein, pyrite and altered minerals commonly observed in the fault rock support evidence of fault activity associated with hydrothermal alteration. Fractal dimensions based on box counting, image analysis and laser particle analysis suggest that mineral grains in the fault rock underwent fracturing process as well as abrasion that gave rise to diminution of grains during the fault activity. Fractal dimensions(D-values) calculated by three methods gradually increase from the breccia zone to the gouge zone which has commonly high D-values. There are no noticeable changes in D-values in the gouge zone with trend being constant. It means that the bulk-crushing process of mineral grains in the breccia zone was predominant, whereas abrasion of mineral grains in the gouge zone took place by continuous fault activity. Mineral compositions in the fault zone and peculiar trends in grain distribution indicate that multiple fault activity had a considerable influence on the evolution of fault zones, together with hydrothermal alteration. Meanwhile, fractal dimension values(D) in the fault rock should be used with caution because there is possibility that different values are unexpectedly obtained depending on the measurement methods available even in the same sample.

        아르곤레이저 치료후 재발한 중심와아래 맥락막신생혈관에 대한 광역학치료

        Purpose: To evaluate the effects of photodynamic therapy for subfoveal recurrences of juxtafoveal or extrafoveal choroidal neovascularization (CNV), previously treated with argon-laser photocoagulation. Methods: Seven eyes, previously treated with argon-laser photocoagulation for juxtafoveal or extrafoveal choroidal neovascularization, received photodynamic therapy for subfoveal recurrence. Changes in visual acuity and fluorescein angiographic findings were analyzed. Results: The average time of appearance of recurrent CNV after laser photocoagulation was 43.14±29.62 months (range, 2-77 months). After photodynamic therapy, fluorescein leakage and neovascular lesion size decreased in all patients on fluorescein angiography. Visual acuity was stabilized or improved in 5 of 7 eyes. Conclusions: Photodynamic therapy was effective in patients with subfoveal recurrences of juxtafoveal or extrafoveal choroidal neovascularization previously treated with argon-laser photocoagulation.

        베체트 포도막염에 대한 타크로리무스(Tacrolimus)의 단기 효과와 합병증

        Purpose: To investigate the clinical effects and side effects of Tacrolimus for ocular Beh?et`s disease. Methods: Eight patients (male: 5, age: 35±7.5 (25-48) years) with Beh?et`s uveitis, refractory posterior uveitis unresponsive to combination treatment with cyclosporine, azathioprine, and oral steroid or significant cyclosporine-related adverse effects were recruited prospectively, and cyclosporine was switched to Tacrolimus. Visual acuity, degree of anterior chamber, and vitreous haze were compared before the conversion and three months after. Oral glucose tolerance, plasma insulin, cholesterol, creatinine, and aspartate (AST)/alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were measured to monitor systemic effects. Results: Visual acuity did not change significantly after conversion to Tacrolimus. Anterior chamber (seven patients) and vitreous (four patients) inflammation were found before conversion and decreased or disappeared after conversion. Overall plasma levels of glucose, insulin, creatinine, and AST/ALT were similar before and after conversion. However, cholesterol was significantly decreased after conversion (p=0.028). One patient developed diabetes mellitus. Conclusions: Tacrolimus may be effective for Beh?et`s uveitis unresponsive to or intolerable of traditional treatments. In addition, periodic monitoring for side effects, such as hyperglycemia and diabetes mellitus, may be necessary.
