        소비자 감성을 고려한 소파 설계 DB 및 Interface 개발

        The purpose of this study is to develop data base and interface for sofa consumers and sofa designers. The human sensibility ergonomics method was used to find the consumer needs and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method was used to extract the designing characteristics required for sofa production. About 200 words and 100 images were gathered from sofa and furniture related catalogs and internet sites to find the best emotional words and images that can express the various sofa aspect. Among the collected words and images, 34 emotional words were selected for sensibility experiment according to the opinions of experts, relations of closeness and frequency of use, and 50 images were selected for the experiment by the diversity. Selected words and images were used for the semantic differential method with 94 subjects, and sensibility characteristics of sofas were defined through various statistical analysis methods including basic statistical analysis, factor analysis and multi-dimensional scale. In reflecting design characteristics of sofas, design factors of sofas were divided into backrest, seat, armrest, neck support and leg, and relative importance of each factor for design was determined with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) by utilizing the experts' opinions. Based on the results above, relationship analysis between emotional evaluation results and design factors was performed. Also, as various sofa images are presented diagrammatically through multidimensional scaling method, it can be used as an important tool for the development of sofa design. This study will contribute improving the product quality of sofas as it enables applying consumer needs into the sofa design.

        제2형 당뇨병 환자에서 Rosiglitazone 병용 투여에 의한 동맥경직도의 개선 효과

        Background: Diabetes is a major risk factor for the development of coronary artery disease. Atherosclerosis is thought to arise as a result of a chronic inflammatory process within the arterial wall. Insulin resistance is central to the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes and may contribute to atherosclerosis, either directly or through associated risk factors. Rosiglitazone, a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma agonist, is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, and previous findings suggest that it may have anti-inflammatory effects on atherosclerosis. This study was performed to evaluate whether rosiglitazone can improve arterial stiffness in type 2 diabetic patients. Methods: This study consisted of 40 patients with type 2 diabetes. These subjects were classified into two groups either medicated with glimepiride (GLIME group, 61.5±8.2 years, M:F = 9:11) or with glimepiride and rosiglitazone (ROSI group, 65.6±9.5 years, M:F = 4:16). For each group, plasma a hsCRP, lipid profile, HOMAIR and HbA1c were measured before and after 12 months of medical treatment. At the same time, pulse wave velocity (PWV) using an automatic device (PP 1000, Hanbyul, Jeonju, Korea) was measured. Results: The plasma hsCRP level was significantly decreased in the ROSI group as compared with the GLIME group (4.22±4.65 vs. 1.07±0.80 mg/L, p=0.025). The carotid-femoral PWV of the ROSI group improved significantly as compared with the GLIME group (8.29±1.25 vs. 7.26±1.49 m/sec, p=0.024). The changes of PWV were correlated with the changes of hsCRP (r=0.412, p=0.033). Conclusions: These findings suggest that rosiglitazone can improve the arterial stiffness in type 2 diabetic patients.         기획논문 : "섬진강"의 시적 형상화 연구 -고은과 김용택을 중심으로

        ``섬진강``은 현대 문학의 많은 작품들에서 중요한 시적 공간으로 설정되고 있다. 최근까지도 여러 시인들의 시에 빈번하게 등장하면서 의미 있는 공간으로 여겨지고 있는데, 섬진강에 대한 특별한 인식에 주목하게 된다. 섬진강은 우리 민중들과 함께 꾸준히 명맥을 이어온 역사적인 하천이다. 문학 작품에서 나타나는 공간은 물리적 특징과 함께 시인 주체에 의해 경험되고 구현된 세계가 함께 작용하므로, 섬진강을 단순한 자연물 또는 지리적 배경으로만 볼 수 없다. 따라서 이 글에서는 작품 속 상징적 공간인 ``섬진강``이 시적 주체에게 수용되고 있는 양상을 살펴 특정공간의 문학적 성격과 시적 의미를 규명하고 나아가 시인의 시세계를 함께 고찰해보고자 하였다. 이 연구를 위해 문학적 공간에서 섬진강이라는 지명과 그 기표를 시적 공간으로 환기시킨 대표적인 시인 고은을 그 대상으로 하였다. 또한 섬진강을 시적 표상으로 형상화하여 삶 중심의 공간으로 확장시킨 시인 김용택을 함께 살펴보고자 한다. 이처럼 섬진강은 물리적인 지형학적 특징 뿐 아니라 인식과 재현으로써 그 의미를 표출하여 오늘날 현대시에서 다양한 시적 공간으로 형성되고 있다. ``Seomjin River`` is set in an important space in many works of modern korean literature. Until recently, it appeared frequently in the poetry of poets many, Seomjin River, is a poetic space that is meaningful. This fact will be induced to focus on the special recognition of the Space for Seomjin River. The space in the literary works, view of the world that have been embody and also experienced by the poet along with the physical features to work together. Therefore it can not be only by simple geographical background and the natural objects to Seomjin River. In this paper, I attempts to explain the aspects which is accepted from the poet Seomjin River as symbolic space in korean modern poetry, and to elucidate its poetic meaning and Literary Characteristics of the poet further.

        어린이용 휴대폰 기능 및 설계 요소에 관한 연구

        These days mobile phone which were used mainly by grown-up persons are now widely used among children as well due to new social demands. Despite this trend, existing mobile phones are still being designed and produced according to the taste of people in their 20s and 30s, even the elderly, not satisfying physical, emotional and cognitive characteristics raised by children. This study aimed to extract the design factors of mobile phones for children by reflecting functional factors requested by children and parents in QFD's customer demands. First, functional and design factors requested in mobile phones for children were extracted from existing products and documentary records and some functional factors were selected through a process of integration and omission. The survey research was conducted on children and parents, based on the selected functional factors. Based on the survey research, functional factors were analyzed using AHP, and key functional factors considered by children and parents in mobile phones for children were investigated. Finally, in order to reflect the results in QFD, the correlation between functional factors and design factors was constructed as HOQ through experts' evaluation. The results showed that both children and parents recognized the basic functions such as telephoning, text messaging and phone directory as high priority functional factors, even though the relative importance was different between children and parents. Therefore, it is likely to satisfy the desires of both children and parents by designing mobile phones for children in consideration of design factors such as menu depth, button independence and button arrangement. It is expected that this study will promote experiments on design factors and propose basic data for and guidelines to mobile phone design for children.

        심박변이도를 이용한 우울증 환자의 정서개선에 미치는 원예치료 효과 분석

        To evaluate the effect of horticultural therapy (HT) on the emotional improvement of depressed patients, computer-based heart rate variability (HRV) was compared with self-report scale (SRS) known as existing subjective evaluation method. SRS included four test areas: mental stress scale (MSS), physical stress scale (PSS), Beck anxiety inventory (BAI), and Beck depression inventory (BDI). HRV was itemized into four parameters: standard deviation of the N-N intervals (SDNN), square root of mean squared difference of successive N-N intervals (RMSSD), total power (TP), and low-frequency/high-frequency ratio (LF/HF ratio). Thirty patients with depression at the same mental hospital participated in this study. 15 patients of the treatment group received HT once a week for three months, but the control group did not during the same period. As a result, the emotional improvement in treatment group was clearly identified through HRV as well as SRS. The significant difference was shown at three test areas (MSS, BAI, and BDI, p < 0.001) in SRS and at one parameter (total power, p < 0.05) in HRV. There was noticeable increase in SDNN, RMSSD, and LF/HF ratio in treatment group after HT activity, but no significant difference. Although all parameters of HRV did not show significance, the possibility of HRV as an objective evaluation method to HT was recognized in this study. These results also implied that HT was efficient in the mental and physical regeneration of the depressed patients in both subjective and objective evaluation methods.

        Inhibitory Effects of 1’,2’-Dihydrorotenone on Osteoclast Differentiation and Bone Resorption In Vitro and In Vivo

        뼈 관련 질환을 앓고 있는 환자에게 부작용이 없는 치료제의 발견은 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 뼈 파괴세포의 분화와 뼈 흡수를 억제할 수 있는 새로운 물질을 발견하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 뼈 파괴세포의 분화 및 뼈 흡수에 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone의 효과를 세포수준과 마우스 생체 내에서 검증하였다. 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone은 농도 증감에 따라 receptor activator of NF-κB ligand (RANKL)에 의해 대식세포에서 뼈 파괴세포로의 분화를 억제하였다. 그러나 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone은 대식세포에 독성을 나타내지 않았다. 이들의 결과로 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone이 대식세포로부터 뼈 파괴세포로 분화에 특이적으로 작용한다고 할 수 있다. 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone은 RANKL에 의한 뼈 파괴세포 특이 유전자 뿐만 아니라 c-Fos와 NFATc1의 발현을 억제하였다. RANKL는 inhibitors of differentiation/DNA binding (Id)1, 2, 3의 발현을 억제하였지만, 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone가 Id1과 Id2의 발현을 촉진하였다. 더욱이, 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone은 뼈 파괴세포의 뼈 흡수를 억제하였고 마우스 생체 내 lipopolysaccharide에 의한 뼈 흡수를 억제하였다. 이 모든 결과로 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone이 뼈 질환 치료제로 가능성을 가진다고 할 수 있다. It is important to identify therapeutic compounds with no adverse effects for use in the chemotherapy of patients with bone-related diseases. The aim of this study was to identify a new compound that inhibits osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption. Herein, we examined the effects of 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone on osteoclast differentiation and bone resorption in vitro and in vivo. 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone inhibited receptor activator of NF-κB ligand (RANKL)-induced osteoclast differentiation of cultured bone marrow macrophages (BMMs) in a dosedependent manner. However, 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone did not exert cytotoxic effect on BMMs. 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone suppressed the expression of c-fos and NFATc1 as well as osteoclast-specific genes in BMMs treated with RANKL. Treatment with RANKL inhibited the expression of inhibitors of differentiation/DNA binding (Id)1, 2, and 3; however, in the presence of 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone, RANKL did not suppress the expression of Id1, 2, and 3. Furthermore, 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone inhibited bone resorption and considerably attenuated the erosion of trabecular bone induced by lipopolysaccharide treatment. Taken together, these results suggest that 1’,2’-dihydrorotenone has the potential to be applied in therapies for bone-related diseases.
