스토리텔링(Storytelling)을 적용한 과학 수업에서 경험하는 교사의 어려움 탐색

본 연구의 목적은 중학교 2학년 과학교과의 2단원 ‘물질의 구성’을 중심으로 스토 리텔링을 적용한 과학 수업에서 경험하는 교사의 어려움을 질적 연구방법으로 탐색 함으로써 효율적인 스토리텔링 교육의 현장 적용을 위한 기초 자료를 제시하고자 하였다. 시각매개의 부재(不在)상황은 학생들의 구체적 상상을 어렵게 하는 것으로 서 지식의 구조화 과정에 대한 어려움을 의미하는 것이었다. 또한 서로 다른 수준의 과학적 담화, 부적절한 은유(metaphor), 수업 안에서 사용되는 언어에 대한 이해의 부족은 커머그니티브(commognitive) 갈등으로 나타났으며 이는 소통의 걸림돌을 의미하였다. 과학적 개념에 대한 기본적인 이해가 없는 상황에서 교과 간 통합적 플 롯의 구성은 학생들의 경험을 정리해 주는 기본 구조의 부재를 의미는 것이며, 내러 티브의 토대로 작용하여 학생들에게 유의미한 기억의 구조를 제공하지 못하였다. 스 토리텔링 과학 수업의 평가 자료 부족, 스토리텔링 수업에 대한 동료 과학 교사와 학부모들의 인식 부족은 산출물 평가 기준의 부재로 인한 평가의 어려움을 의미하 였다. 이러한 교사의 어려움을 토대로 소양지향의 과학교육의 궁극적인 목표로서 중 학교 과학교과에서 스토리텔링을 적용한 교사 중심의 실천적 개혁이 지속적으로 필 요함을 시사하고 있다. The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental materials for effective application of storytelling to educational scenes in the science study in the qualitative way by exploring difficulties that are experienced by teachers in science classes with the application of storytelling. The participants for this study were Mr. Kim, a science teacher from Geumran Middle School, which is located in Gyeonggi-do, and 6 students (3 male and 3 female students) in the scientific creativity class from the same school. We carried out a total of 28 sessions of participatory observation and deep interviews including 3 preliminary observation sessions from February to September 2013. As a result of the study, included the difficulty in helping students’ specific imaginations due to lack of visual media, and the difficulty in imagination means the difficulty in perception and at the same time, in the capability of structuring, which is a general ability of mind. Also, scientific discourses at different levels, inadequate metaphors, and lack of understanding of the language used in the discourses turn up as commognitive conflicts, and hence mean ‘hindrance to communication.’In a situation in which there is no basic understanding of scientific concepts, the composition of an integrated plot among subjects means the absence of a basic structure, and works as the basis of narratives so that it could not provide students with a significant structure of memories. Included the difficulty due to lack of evaluation criteria for the products of storytelling science classes and with lack of recognition of storytelling classes by fellow science teachers and parents causes difficulties in assessment. Based on such difficulties among teachers, the results of this study suggest that various approaches and efforts are necessary which apply storytelling to the middle school science subject for the ultimate purpose of aptitude-oriented science education.
3D 프린팅을 활용한 과학 수업에서 학습자의 동기와 만족감 분석

Technology is an important means to enhance students`` understanding about scientific concepts. In particular, newly introduced 3D printing technology has great potential to help students learn scientific concepts better. 3D printing is a process for a creating physical object with a three dimensional model. In this study, we explored two types of learners’ (students vs. adults) motivation and satisfaction with 3D printing technology. With regard to motivation, student learners showed higher task value, self-efficacy for learning, and satisfaction than adult learners. The result implied that 3D printing technology is more effective to student learners than adult learners. In addition, for adult learner group, negative relationship between technology and satisfaction was found. Therefore, support for reducing the technology anxiety for adult learners is necessary. Further discussions are provided for the research and application of 3D printing technology in science classroom.

Makerspace was constructed to assist the public in creating new business, industry and market opportunities by combining their creative ideas with technology. So far, in Korea, a total of 58 makerspaces have been constructed and are running currently. Makerspaces are equipped with a variety of high-tech devices such as 3D printing technology and a laser cutter as means for transforming ideas into their prototypes. In this study, we examined users’ experiences in makerspaces using online questionnaires and face-to-face interviews. We then presented motivations for using makerspace, interest in using it, concerns about using technologies, and other issues related to using makerspaces. Based on the results, we proposed three suggestions to improve users’ experiences in makerspaces. These suggestions include: (1) supporting teaching and learning practices in makerspaces, (2) providing professional development opportunities for instructors in makerspaces, and (3) promoting innovative services that accommodate diverse users’ needs.
온라인 전시 행사에서 개인 맞춤형 추천 시스템 적용 사례 연구 : 산학협력 EXPO를 중심으로

Due to the spread of Corona 19, many exhibitions and events are being conducted online, non-face-to-face. Compared to offline events, online exhibitions and events have the advantage of being able to watch anytime, anywhere without space and time constraints. On the other hand, in online exhibitions and events, content delivery is inferior because the amount of time for the audience to immerse is relatively small. Despite these shortcomings, the spread of Corona 19 is prolonged and online exhibitions and events are expanding. Also, MICE experts predict that even after the end of Corona 19, offline and online events will be held simultaneously. Therefore, in this study, as a strategy to increase the sense of immersion in the program in online exhibitions and events, we intend to propose a method that can maximize the effect of delivering content during a limited time of visitors stay a personalized artificial intelligence recommendation algorithm.
중국 초등학생의 공학 창의적 문제해결력 향상을 위한 미세먼지 STEAM 프로그램 개발 사례 연구

Based on the constructivist learning environments model and the learner-centered psychological principles, STEAM education program with the theme of eliminating smog was developed. Through the program, senior elementary school students will learn and apply the convergence knowledge of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics such as the human body s respiratory system (S), immune system (S), big data (M, T), computer programming(M), and aduino sensor utilization (E) directly to solve the problem. After expert validity testing, we found that developed program meet the standards of STEAM education program development and can develop creative thinking skills to find and solve problems in students daily lives. In addition, this study is meaningful in providing a reference example for the development of STEAM education programs that enhance convergence knowledge in the future.
