웨이블릿 변환을 이용한 일반화된 서브밴드 분해 FIR 적응 필터의 구조와 수렴특성 해석

In general, transform domain adaptive filters show faster convergence speed than the time domain adaptive filters, but the amount of calculation increases dramatically as the filter order increases. This problem can be solved by making use of the subband structure in transform domain adaptive filters. In this paper, to increase the convergence speed on the generalized subband decomposition FIR adaptive filters, a structure of the adaptive filter with subfilter of dyadic sparsity factor in wavelet transform domain is designed. And, in this adaptive filter, the equivalent input in transform domain is derived and, by using the input, the convergence properties for the LMS algorithm is analyzed and evaluated. By using this sub band adaptive filter, the inverse system modeling and the periodic noise canceller were designed, and, by computer simulation, the convergence speeds of the systems on LMS algorithm were compared with that of the subband adaptive filter using DFT(discrete Fourier transform). 변환영역 적응필터는 시간영역 적응필터보다 일반직으로 수렴속도가 빠르지만 필터의 차수가 증가함에 따라 계산량이 크게 증가한다. 이러한 문제점은 변환영역 적응필터를 서브밴드 분해구조로 변경함으로써 해결할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 일반화된 서브밴드 분해 FIR 적응 필터의 수렴속도 향상을 위해 웨이블릿 변환영역에서 다이아딕 희소인자 서브필터를 가지는 일반화된 서브밴드 분해 FTR 적응 필터의 구조를 설계하였다. 그리고 이 적응필터에서 변환영역의 일반화된 등가입력을 유도하고 이 입력을 이용하여 LMS 일고리듬에 대한 수렴특성을 해석 및 평가하였다. 이 서브밴드 FIR 적응필터를 이용하여 역 모델링 시스템과 주기성 잡음제거기를 구성하고 LMS 알고리듬 대한 이 시스템들의 수련속도를 이산푸리에 변환을 이용한 서브밴드 적응필터의 것과 컴퓨터 모의실험으로 비교하였다.
울산대학교 공과대학의 공학인증제도 도입과 향후 발전 방향에 관한 조사 연구

울산대학교 공과대학은 경쟁력 있는 공과대학으로 발전하기 위한 일환으로 1999년 후반부터 ABEEK 인증제도 도입을 추진하였다. 그 결과 2003년 1월 공과대학 내 10개의 프로그램이 공학인증을 받게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 울산대학교 공과대학에서 추진해온 ABEEK 인증체제 도입에 따른 성과와 앞으로의 추진방향에 대하여 고찰하였다. University of Ulsan has prepared the Accreditation Program since 1999 and most of the engineering educational programs in College of Engineering have been accredited by ABEEK. This paper provides summarized description of the accreditation system development for engineering education in UOU and also discusses, what is to be considered in order to achieve the continuous improvement of education systems under the Accreditation Program.
CFT기둥과 H-형강보의 볼트 접합부에 관한 실험적 연구

본 연구의 목적은 CFT-기둥과H-형강보의 볼트를 이용한 접합부의 형식을 제안하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 직선형, 굽힘형, U자형, 기성제품 고장력 볼트를 이용한 아홉가지 형식의 접합부를 제안하였다. 이 아홉가지의 접합부 형식에 대하여 단순 인장 실험을 수행하였으며, 이 실험 결과에 의해 성능이 우수한 형태를 선정하여 단순 휨 실험을 수행하였다. 그리고 단순 휨 실험을 통해 보-기둥 접합부의 구조적인 거동을 비교 분석하였다. 단순 휨 실험의 분석 결과, 휨 접합부의 구조성능은 상당히 우수한 것으로 나타났으나 시공시 해결되어야 할 사항들이 남아 있는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to propose the prototypes of bolted end plate moment connection between CFT column and H-beam sections. Nine different types of bolt are designed in this study. The shapes of those bolt are straight. bent, hooked or stud-type. The end plate moment connection between CFT column and H-beam sections which are jointed by those bolts are studied experimentally to compare their performances. The simple beam bending tests are carried out to investigate the structural behavior of beam-to-column connections. The experimental results show that some of the bolted end plate connection types have quite good performance in the structural behavior but still have a lot of week points to be solved for the efficiency of construction.

N/A Objectives: A prospective study was performed to find out the correlation between neutrophil, eosinophil and eosinophilic cationic protein (ECP) the granular protein in eosinophil - and smoking history and pulmonary function change, Methods: In this study there were seventy smokers and seventy lifetime nonsmokers. None of them had the history of atopy, or the evidence of parasitic infestation. Smoking history, spirometric pulmonary function test and blood samples for CBC, serum ECP were analyzed. Results: 1) Eosinophil and neutophil count was elevated in the smokers compared with the nonsmokers. 2) Serum ECP was elevated in smokers and the magnitude of this increase was greater than that of eosinophil count. 3) In the smokers, there was a direct proportional correlation between serum ECP and FEV1, but inverse proportional correlation between neutophil count and FEV. 4) In the smokers, neutrophil count was elevated regardless of FEV value. 5) The level of serum ECP well correlated with the daily tobacco consumption but not with the duration of smoking or pack-year consumption. Conclusion: Incresed neutrophil count, decreased eosinophil count and decreased serum ECP level could be useful in the understanding of pathophysiology of lung parenchymal destruction in smokers.

This paper summarizes the results from the experimental study performed to investigate the structural behaviors of reinforced<br/> concrete beams strengthened by the composite fiber ropes tendons developed in this research. The rope braided with the<br/> UHMWPE fiber is excellent in the respect of strength but its failure mode is undesirably brittle. Steel turn-buckles developed in<br/> this research are connected at the middle of the fiber rope tendons and used as a device to control the magnitude of pretension<br/> forces and the failure mode of the tendons at the same time. The magnitude of pretension forces of the tendons and the strength<br/> capacity ratio between the ropes and the turn-buckles are considered as the major variables for the experimental analysis. Six<br/> beams were tested to investigate the structural performance of the proposed tendons used for rehabilitation works of reinforced<br/> concrete beams, such as failure modes, strength, stiffness and ductility. Results from this study show that the reinforced concrete<br/> beams rehabilitated by proposed method could have the maximum flexural moment capacity improved more than 140%, and the<br/> deformation ductility improved to be larger than 11.0. It implies that the proposed composite tendon possesses excellent<br/> performances in structural behavior, especially in the respects of flexural deformation and strength. And the proposed system could<br/> be used effectively for the rehabilitation works of reinforced concrete beams.

In order to assess the brittle failure mode effects on the reliability of the building structures under seismic attacks, more simplified evaluation method based on equivalent strength and load factors are proposed. The plastic energy of the brittle members dissipated to reach the limit state is assumed to be equivalent to that of the ideal plastic and therefrom the equivalent strength and load factors are developed. The validity of the proposed method is illustrated by comparing the results of the case study performed by previous researches. It is also demonstrated that the proposed approach can be effectively applied to evaluate the failure probabilities of the reinforced concrete structures with brittle components. The case study shows that the effects from brittle failure components are considerable and more careful management of the risk potential of the reinforced concrete structures designed by current design codes is necessitated.
