螢光X線을 利用하여 珪酸鹽鑛物中의 主成分인 $SiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, CaO, MgO 및 $K_2O$를 迅速히 分析할 目的으로 試料의 處理 測定 및 各條件에 對하여 檢討하였다. 試料를 Lithium Tetraborate로 용융하여 300Mesh 以上의 微粉末로 한後 40,000Lb의 壓力으로 成型하여 Tungsten과 Chromium 對陰極의 X-線管과 LiF, EDDT, ADP의 分光結晶을 使用하여 測定하였다. 各成分에 對한 檢量曲線은 Matrix Effect를 고려하여 N.B.S 및 International Rock Standard를 選定 使用하였고 Lanthanum Oxide 및 Binder로서 Borie Acid를 첨가하여 얻었다. 各成分에 對하여 本法의 再現性 및 誤差를 檢討하기를 爲하여 I.R.S T-1을 使用하여 測定한 結果 0.47($SiO_2$), 0.85($Al_2O_3$), 0.05($Fe_2O_3$), 0.07(caO), 0.02($K_2O$), 0.13(MgO)의 標準偏差를 얻었다. 또한 化學分析植에 對한 偏差를 求하고져 Clay, Kaoline, Alunite, Wallastonite 및 Zeolite 等의 珪酸鹽鑛物을 選定하여 化學分析 및 本法에 依한 分析結果를 비교하였다. X-ray Fluorescence Spectrographic method has been applied for the rapid determination of main components, such as $SiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, CaO, MgO and $K_2O$ in Silicate Minerals. In this method, Boric Acid was used as a binder after fusion with Lithium Tetraborate in the briquet-making process. The Lithium Flubride, Ammonium di-Hydrogen Phosphate and Ethylene Diamine d-Tartrate crystals were used with Scintillation counter and Gas Flow counter as the detectors. Several influences on this method were discussed, including the particle size of samples and reducing of the matrix effects by dilution with Boric Acid and addition of Lanthanum Oxide with the diluent. In order to test the reproducibility of this method described above, the determination of the same kind of samples were carried out repeatedly, and the results obtained were presented in the table. Calibration curves for each element were presented, and the application of the method was tested with International Rock Standard T-Ⅰ. All the results obtained by X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrographic method were compared with the results by conventional chemical method.

원료가 서로 다른 세종류의 국산활성탄을 사용하여 니켈 및 아연이온에 관한 할로겐과 시안이온의 활성탄 흡착에 대한 공존효과를 살펴보았다. 수용액중에서 니켈 및 아연이온은 할로겐이나 시안이온의 공존으로 착음이온 형태로 활성탄에 용이하게 흡착됨을 알 수 있었으며 니켈이온은 pH $6.0{\sim}7.0$에서, 아연이온은 pH $6.5{\sim}7.0$의 범위가 가장 적합함을 알았다. 또한 니켈이온과의 착음이온을 만들기 위한 음이온은$ 1{\times}10^{-2}mol/l$에서 그 최대치를 나타내었다. 실온에서 구한 이들의 흡착등온선은 거의 직선으로 Freundlich의 흡착등온식게 따랐으며, 시안이온 공존시의 기울기는 활성탄 A, B, C에 대해 각각 1.7, 5.4, 7.1로서 활성탄 A가 흡착제로서 매우 양호한 것을 알 수 있다. The adsorption characteristics of heavy metal ions $(Ni^{2+}$, $Zn^{2+}$) on domestic activated carbon which manufactured from the wood, waste rubber and coal has been studied. The following conclusions were obtained by investigating the effect of pH, halides, cyanide and temperature on the absorption of heavy metal ions and by determining absorption rate and absorption isotherms. When heavy metal ions were adsorbed on activated carbon in the pH range from 6 to 7, treated heavy metal ions were almost come to the equilibrium and recovered in the form of complex anions such as $MX_4^{2- }$and $M(CN)_4^{2-}$ in an hour. The absorption isotherms of heavy matel ions were well fitted in Freundlich's equation. Heavy metal complex anions on activated carbon were easily eluted by using 0.1N HCl solution. These results suggest that the complex anions have unexpectedly strong affinity for the surface of activated carbon.
백두대간 생태 복원을 위한 시민참여 프로그램 개발과 적용

Ecological restoration aims to reverse the degradation of ecosystems that occurred as humans have affected landscapes. This study was conducted in part of a larger project to develop participatory ecological restoration procedures for disturbed areas in Baigdoodaegahn which is a major mountain range in the Korean Peninsula. The case of alpine farmland at Kangwon-do was selected to apply the theoretical framework of participatory restoration since the nutrient contents in alpine solid under vegetable cultivation degrade water quality in the watershed while farmers in the region are economically struggling due to imports of vegetables from China. The reciprocal model of restoration was applied to cope with interactions between human and ecosystem needs in ecological restoration. A series of environmental education and eco-tourism programs were developed and incorporated into the participatory restoration project to rebuild social-cultural aspects of the community as well as to restore the biophysically disturbed area while meeting both ecological needs and human needs. This study suggests that participatory projects will be more successful when experts support the local residents and citizens in restoration process, when leadership are developed through social learning, and when ecological, financial and social factors of restoration are integratedly considered.

Facing the issue of global climate change, it is important for environmental educators to prepare a person who is able to understand of, communicate about, and make informed decisions on the climate change. Climate change education is to help learners understand of human influence on climate and climate's influence on them and society. This study was conducted in a way to discuss how climate change education could be implemented in Korean context. For this purpose, several documents and research articles on climate change education and communication were analyzed: Climate literacy, guidelines for K-12 global climate change education, and guidelines for effective climate change communication and message and so on. Many of the documents emphasize age appropriateness, positive thinking, participation and empowerment in climate change education while suggesting not to burden young learners with fears. Some documents such as the climate literacy suggest key concepts and/or essential principles of climate change education. Based upon the analysis, several considerations to incorporate the concepts in climate change into educational programs were suggested for further discussions.
