Recently, stream longitudinal connectivity has been a topic of investigation due to the frequent disconnections and the impact of aquatic ecosystems caused by the construction of small and medium-sized weirs and various artificial structures (fishways) directly influencing the stream ecosystem health. In this study, the international and domestic research trends of the longitudinal connectivity in aquatic ecosystems were evaluated and the applicability of fish-based longitudinal connectivity models used in developed countries was analyzed. For these purposes, we analyzed the current status of research on longitudinal connectivity and structural problems, fish monitoring methodology, monitoring approaches, longitudinal disconnectivity of fish movement, and biodiversity. In addition, we analyzed the current status and some technical limitations of physical habitat suitability evaluation, ecology-based water flow, eco-hydrological modeling for fish habitat connectivity, and the s/w program development for agent-based model. Numerous references, data, and various reports were examined to identify worldwide longitudinal stream connectivity evaluation models in European and non-European countries. The international approaches to longitudinal connectivity evaluations were categorized into five phases including 1) an approach integrating fish community and artificial structure surveys (two types input variables), 2) field monitoring approaches, 3) a stream geomorphological approach, 4) an artificial structure-based DB analytical approach, and 5) other approaches. the overall evaluation of survey methodologies and applicability for longitudinal stream connectivity suggested that the ICE model (Information sur la Continuite Ecologique) and the ICF model (Index de Connectivitat Fluvial), widely used in European countries, were appropriate for the application of longitudinal connectivity evaluations in Korean streams.

Every year, many shipping companies provide seaman safety education programs periodically to reduce ocean-traffic accidents. However, undertaking the regular safety training for seaman has been difficult because of litimation of space and time. Recently, VR technolgy is received attentions to overcome previous problems. It can provide users educational interactions between a user and virtual environment and fulfill sustainable teaching. In this paper, VR-based safety education content for sailors has been developed, and it includes four programs. Also, survey was conducted with four questionnaires such as immersiveness, easy to experience, satisfaction of education contents, comparative evaluation between traditional education program and VR education contents. As the result, immersiveness questionnaire could be gain 53.83% positive assessment, and easy to experience could be gain 65.38% positive assessment, and satisfaction could be gain 69.23% positive assessment. Lastly, comparative evaluation between traditional education program and VR education contents could be gain about 46% positive and 34% neutral assessments.

This study was conducted to measure the degree of Korean Gender Egalitarianism among the students from six different high schools(132 girls, 127 boys) in Sunchon si, Chunnam province from Dec. 7th to Dec. 15th in 1999. The survey on gender egalitarianism was done in relation to the public understanding of the subject matter, parents' hug times, and parent's communication skills. Korean gender egalitari- anism scale was standardized by Korea Woman Developmental Institutes in 1999. The data was analyzed by SAS program. Results were as follows: 1) Generally, girls are more conscious of gender egalitariannism than boys(t=-13.79, p<.001). Above all, the younger the students are, the more they feel equal(F=8.01, p<.01). In sibling cases, two sisters have the highest level of gender egalitarianism while two brothers have the lowest level of gender egalitarianism(F=9.20, p<.001). Students who come from religious families are more inclined to demonstrate gender equality(t= 2.42, p<.05). However, there is no difference in relation to the parents' ages or academic background or harmony within the family. 2) There is no difference that girls and boys generally communicate with their parents. In ages, 17 years old students communicate more than 18, 19 with parents(father F=3.97 p<.05ㆍmother F=5.31, p<.01). That is, the younger students can communicate with their mothers more often than the older ones. In sibling cases, two sisters have more openly communication to parents while two brothers have(F=2.84, p<.05). Students communicate with their parents regardless of parents' academic background. But those from the family in harmony have more open chance to communicate than those who are not in hamony(father F=21.66, p<.001ㆍmother F=13.37, p<.001). They can comm -unicate with their parents better when their fathers hug them than when they didn't get hugs(father t=-4.76, p<.001ㆍ mother t= -2.34, p<.05). They can also communicate with their patents better when their mothers hug them once or more than when they didn't get hugs(father t=-3.78, p<.001ㆍmother t=-5.64, p<.001). 3) There is no difference whether the father hugs or not, but the mother's hug is very important because students whose mothers hug them once or more have significantly more gender egalitarianism than those students whose mothers didn't do(t=-3.98, p<.001). Based upon these results, it is recommended that we reconsider the role of gender in the socialization of high school students and also include gender egalitarianism in sex education. In this context, further study should be done for the improvement of students' communication within the framework of egalitarianism based upon parents' hugs(semi-language). Continued study is especially important in regards to the mother's hug and its enhancement of the students' gender egalitarianism.

Sweet pumpkin is rich in minerals such as calcium, phosphorus and fiber, and also contains a large amount of β-carotene, which has antioxidant effects. In this study, Makgeolli containing steaming sweet pumpkin (SP) was manufactured to enhance the antioxidant activity. To prepare the Makgeolli, SP was added in amounts of 5, 10, 20, and 30% (w/w), and the chemical (pH, total acidity, alcohol), microbiological (lactic acid bacteria, yeast) properties, and antioxidant activities (DPPH, ABTS) were examined during fermentation and storage for 9 days. The pH of SP Makgeolli was 4.00-4.23 at day 1 of fermentation, and then the pH gradually decreased as fermentation progressed, showing the lowest results at day 9 (3.28-3.52). At day 1, the total acidity was significantly increased (P<0.05) as the amount of SP (0-30%; 0.09-0.55%) and the total acidity in SP Makgeolli (1.01-1.20) was also rapidly increased by 5 days of fermentation. Alcohol content was significantly increased (P<0.05) as the amount of SP (0-30%; 4.59-5.77%) increased at day 9. The counts of lactic acid bacteria and yeast in SP Makgeolli were 8.0-8.1 and 7.9-7.8.0 CFU/mL, respectively, which was higher than SP 0% at day 9. DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities were significantly increased (P<0.05) as the amount of SP (0-30%; 48.29-78.97% for DPPH, 62.12-86.68% for ABTS) increased at day 9. This study suggests that Makgeolli added with SP could be potentially and commercially developed due to its superior microbiological and chemical properties, including high antioxidant activities.
N-Screen 기반의 해양시설물용 모니터링 시스템 설계

급격하게 발전하는 IT 기술과 국내 해상에 넓게 분포된 해양시설물의 모니터링 시스템이 융합된 효율적인 모니터링 시스템은 필수적이다. 특히 스마트폰과 스마트패드의 보급 및 스마트 TV등의 등장은 다양한 기기 환경에서 편리하게 모니터링을 할 수 있는 환경을 제공하였고, 해양시설물의 관리자가 언제 어디서나 해양시설물을 모니터링 할 수 있게 하였다. 그러나 현재 이용되고 있는 스마트폰과 스마트패드 등은 제조사 및 적용되는 OS에 따라 다양한 환경내에서 모니터링 시스템의 서비스가 어렵다. 또한 각 디바이스별로 모니터링 시스템을 별도로 개발해야 하는 불편함이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 NMMS(N-Screen Marine-facility Monitoring System)를 제안한다. NMMS는 효율적인 해양시설물의 모니터링 시스템을 위해 해양시설물의 전력 상태와 제어 상태를 실시간으로 확인 할 수 있는 실시간 모니터링 시스템과, 해양시설물의 고장진단을 확인할 수 있는 고장진단 시스템, 그리고 해양시설물의 모니터링 데이터를 장기간 저장 및 확인할 수 있는 데이터 저장 시스템으로 구성된다. NMMS는 최근 각광받는 웹 표준 언어인 HTML 5를 이용해 각종 디바이스에서 접근성을 용이하게 하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 NMMS를 이용하여 관리자 및 관리단체가 사용하고 있는 개인 PC, 노트북, 스마트폰, 스마트패드 등의 다양한 기기 및 다양한 OS의 종류에 제한받지 않고 해양시설물의 모니터링을 가능하게 하였다.

Objective : The Sinseon-yukza-hwan (SSY), a Korean medicinal formula which includes Radix Rehmanniae Preparata and other medicinal herbs, has long been used for treatment of alopecia and gray hair through oral administration. This study is designed to enhance the utilization of natural materials in hair and scalp-related cosmetics. Possibility of SSY as an antioxidant was examined from its 50% ethanol extract. Methods : The antioxidative capacities were evaluated by determining total phenolic and flavonoid contents, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH), 2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), reducing power and hydroxyl radical scavenging activity. Results : Total polyphenol and flavonoid contents of SSY were 25.53 mg TE, tannic acid equivalent/g and 18.90 mg RE, rutin equivalent/g, respectively, which correlated strongly its antioxidative activity. The DPPH and ABTS free radical scavenging activities of SSY at $0.1mg/m{\ell}{\sim}5mg/ml$ were ranged from 20% to 85% and 10% to 58%, respectively. Also the hydroxyl radical scavenger activity and reducing power increased in SSY-treated group, which were significantly lower in SSY-compared to BHA-treated group. But the highest reducing power was shown as 79% from SSY-treated group, which was higher value than 65% from BHA-treatment. These results showed that SSY extract effectively inhibited the generation of free radicals in the all assay system with dose-dependent manners. Conclusions : Thus, the present study provide preclinical data to support the expanded application of SSY, which could be potential candidates for natural antioxidants.
문학을 통해 살펴본 문화적 원체험지로서의 종로와 문화콘텐츠 활용 연구

본 연구는 문학을 통해 도시의 문화적 자원을 발굴하고 지역의 정체성을 형성하는 역할을 효과적으로 수행하고자 하는 목적 아래 ‘종로’라는 공간에 주목해보았다. 문화정체성이 발현되는 인문학적 공간으로 지역을 이해하는 관점에서, 문화적 원체험지로서의 종로를 재발견하려 한 것이다. 역사 기술이나 공식적 기록 이상의 지역의 구체성, 지역민의 내면을 재현하고자 한다면 문학이 중요한 매개체가 될 수 있다. 이 글은 시인들의 생애사와 작품, 증언록 등에 나타난 의미 있는 공간과 장소를 그 자체로 텍스트로 보아 그 배경이자 맥락으로서의 문화적 과정에 관심을 기울이고 살펴보았다. 또한 1960~1970년대 소위 ‘종로시대’의 형성과 소멸의 배경 및 그 과정을 살펴보며 당대의 문인 공동체의 중심이었으며 문학적 교류공간이자 집필 장소였던 종로를 재조명해보았다. 1960년대 이후 본격화 된 도시 정비사업의 진행 과정 속 문인들의 거점 공간이 명동에서 종로로 이동하게 되고, 다시 종로의 쇠락과 함께 사라져가는 모습은 서울이라는 도시공간의 변화를 상징적으로 드러낸다. 전통적 의미에서의 장소성이 희미해지며 균질적인 메트로폴리스로 성장해가는 과정에서 의미를 형성하고 공유할 수 있는 가능성을 소실해가고 있음을 ‘종로 문인 네트워크’의 형성과 소멸을 통해 상기하게 되는 점이 있다. 나아가 종국적으로는 현대시 속에 재현된 서울의 형상을 단순히 확인하고 분석하는 작업에 머물지 않고, 콘텐츠화 및 활용 방안을 모색하는 데 이르고자 했다. 이를 위해 본론 1,2장에서 살펴본 바와 같은 실증적 자료의 발굴과 보존, 문화자원으로의 활용을 위한 콘텐츠화를 3장에서 제안하며 유효한 사례를 제시했다. This study focused on ‘Jongno’ to discover the cultural resources of the city through literature and to form the identity of the region. This article considered ‘Jongno’ area as a humanistic space where cultural identity appeared, and rediscovered Jongno as a cultural origin of poets who actually lived in Jongno. Then, looking at the background and process of the formation and disappearance of the so-called ‘Jongno Era’ in the 1960s and 1970s, this article re-examined Jongno, which was the center of the literary community of the time. In the course of the urban readjustment project since the 1960s, literary strongholds moved from Myeong-dong to Jongno, and disappeared with the decline of Jongno, symbolizing the change of urban space in Seoul. Furthermore, this study went further from simply identifying and analyzing the shape of Seoul reproduced in modern poetry to find ways to make and utilize it as cultural contents.
인삼과 당귀 재배 토양으로부터 야생효모들의 분리 및 미백성 Tyrosinase 저해활성

The goal of this study was to isolate wild yeasts from the fields of medicinal plants and investigate its tyrosinase inhibitory activities. Wild yeasts isolated from soil in the ginseng and Korean angelica fields of Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea were identified by comparing the nucleotide sequences of the D1/D2 domain of 26S rDNA. In total, 43 yeast strains belonging to 21 species were isolated from 50 soil samples obtained from two medicinal plant fields. From the ginseng field, six strains of Rhodotorula glutinis and four strains of Sampaiozyma ingeniosa were isolated, out of which Rhodotorula glutinis strains were dominant. In the Korean angelica field, six strains of Cyberlindnera saturnus, three strains of Piskurozyma taiwanensis, and three strains of Saitozyma podzolica were isolated, out of which Cyberlindnera saturnus strains were dominant. We prepared cell-free extracts of the isolated wild yeasts and their tyrosinase inhibitory activities were investigated. Among 43 yeast strains, cell-free extracts of Naganishia globosa G1-7 showed the highest tyrosinase inhibitory activity (28.0%).
