본 연구에서는 국내 홍천산 모나자이트 정광의 가성소다 분해 및 분해산물의 염산 침출에 대한 처리조건을 확립하고자 하였다. 분해 반응의 조건은 입자크기의 -200 mesh 이하이면 적절하였고, 반응온도 $460^{\circ}C$부근에서 원활한 분해가 이루어 졌으며, 가성소다 첨가량은 NaOH/TREO mole ratio 6정도가 효과적이다. 또한 침출반응의 조건은 염산농도 8N 및 반응온도 $80^{\circ}C$이상이 침출에 적절하였으며, 반응시간 2시간 및 광액 농도 10%가 효과적이다. 그리고 최적조건하에서 모나자이트의 분해 침출율은 90%이상이였고, 부산물 형태로 인산소다 화합물은 효과적으로 회수하였으며, 희토류 원소별 분리에 적합한 시료용액을 조제하였다. In this study, treatment conditions for monazite concentrate in Hong-Cheon area deposit were studied with NaOH fritting decomposition and HCl leaching experiments. At condition of NaOH fritting decomposition, it was appropriate to adopt particle size of -200 mesh monazite, reaction temperature of about $460^{\circ}C$ and NaOH/TREO mole ratio of 6. In case of HCl leaching for decomposed product, it was appropriate to use hydrochloric acid of above 8N with leaching temperature of above $80^{\circ}C$, leaching time of 2 hrs and pulp density of about 10%. A rate of decomposition and leaching for monazite was above 90% under optimum conditions. Sodium phosphate compound was effectively recovered from NaOH decomposed solution, and mixed rare earth chloride solution was prepared with HCl leaching of decomposed product.

Objective : We analyzed the clinical and endocrinological results of the transsphenoidal microsurgery for ACTH secreting pituitary adenomas. Marerials and Methods : From October 1995 to August 2000, 18 patients underwent transsphenoidal microsurgery for Cushing's disease. We analyzed the surgical results of 17 patients, one patient who was previously operated from other hospital was excluded. Age of the patients were 18 to 61 years old(mean 37.7), male to female ratio was 1 : 3.3, and follow-up period was 3 to 50 months(mean 20.3). The selection of candidates for transsphenoidal exploration was based on endocrinologic criteria. Magnetic resonance imaging was the preferred radiologic test. Selective inferior petrosal sinus sampling of adrenocorticotropic hormone futher refined the diagnosis when endocrinologic and radiologic procedures were not definitive. Results : Results of the preoperative endocrinological test were : level of serum ACTH 29.4 to $225{\mu}g/dL$(mean $93.88{\mu}g/dL$) ; serum cortisol 11.9 to $47.5{\mu}g/dL$(mean $27.49{\mu}g/dL$) ; 24-hour urine free cortisol 235 to $1019{\mu}g/day$(mean $571.0{\mu}g/day$). Inferior petrosal sinus sampling for ACTH was performed in 11 patients and all were confirmed by Cushing's disease and we could predict the laterality of the tumor in 9 of 11 patients. We performed transsphenoidal selective adenomectomy in 5 patients, adenomectomy and subtotal hypophysectomy in 2 patients, adenomectomy and partial hypophysectomy in 9 patients, and in the remaining one patient, hemihypophysectomy followed by total hypophysectomy due to remission failure. Fifteen of 17 patients(88.2%) showed endocrinological remission. Glucocorticoid replacement therapy was performed in all the patients who showed remission for 1 to 24 months(mean 5.9 months), and 6 patients received steroid over 6 months. Conclusion : We conclude that the direct demonstration of a tumor in the pituitary gland by MRI is the most important and definitive diagnostic tool and the location of a mass should be confirmed with increased level of ACTH by the inferior petrosal sinus sampling. Transsphenoidal microsurgery is effective treatment modality for Cushing's disease and the immediate postoperative evaluation of the surgical resection of the tumor is very important. The patients should show hypocortisolism, decreased, subnormal serum ACTH and cortisol levels and 24-hours urine free cortisol. We performed 18 transsphenoidal microsurgery for Cushing's disease in 17 patients and 15 patients(88.2%) showed endocrinological remission.

본 연구의 목적은 호주산 저품위 동광을 부유선별하여 정광으로 회수하고자 할 때, 최적의 부유선별 조건을 얻고자 하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 저품위 동광의 파분쇄 및 분급에 의해 선별에 적절한 입자크기의 시료를 얻은 다음, 이를 대상으로 부유선별 시 포수제, 활성제, 억제제의 첨가량 및 광액의 pH 변화가 부선효율에 미치는 영향을 조사함으로써 품위가 향상된 정광을 얻고자 하였다. 본 연구실험결과 얻은 최적의 부유선별 조건은 광액산도 pH9.0, 활성제 500 g/t $CuSO_4{\cdot}5H_2O$, 포수제 500 g/t K.E.X, 억제제 1500 g/t $Na_2SO_3$, 광액농도는 25 wt.% 이었다. 최적조건하에서 얻은 정광중의 동 품위 및 회수율은 각각 4 wt.%와 65 wt.% 정도이었고 대부분 철 성분을 함유한 광물 이었다. The purpose of this study is to obtain an optimum condition of the concentrate by floatation using Australian low grade copper ore of suitable particle size by crushing, grinding and sizing. The effect of the dosage of collector, activator, depressant and change of acidity on the floatation was investigated. The floatation conditions comprising of pH 9.0 acidity, 500g/t $CuSO_4{\cdot}5H_2O$ activator, 500g/t K.E.X. collector, 1500g/t $Na_2SO_3$ depressant and 25wt.% plup density were optimized. Grade and recovery of copper in the concentrate obtained by froth floatation under optimum conditions were 4wt.% and 65wt.% respectively.

본 연구는 탄소 환원반응을 이용하여 ilmenite 중 $TiO_2$의 품위 향상을 목적으로 ilmenite 중에 존재하는 철산화물의 탄소환원에 가장 효과적인 첨가물과 최적조건을 검토하였다. Ilmenite 중 철산화물의 환원에 가장 적절한 환원제의 종류 및 첨가량은 $FeCl_3$로서 ilmenite 시료무게의 2 wt.%이었고, 또한 최적의 탄소환원제 양은 당량비로 2배였다. 그리고 적절한 환원온도 및 시간은 $1100^{\circ}C$ 부근으로서 대부분 철산화물의 환원반응이 종료되는 30분 정도로 조사되었다. 이와 같은 조건하에서 얻어진 환원반응 생성물은 자력선별 공정을 거치면 rutile의 대체 자원으로 사용이 가능함을 확인하였다. It has been carried our for establishing the methodology to upgrade $TiO_2$ by carbothermal reduction of iron oxide in ilmenite. Based on present experimental results, the possibility for substitution with rutile has been investigated. It could by proposed that the 2 wt.% $FeCl_3$ of sample and carbon of 2 equivalents are optimum conditions as a feeding materials. And also appropriate reducing temperature and reduction time were about $1100^{\circ}C$ and 30 minutes. The product obtained by the processes of carbon reduction and magnetic separation may be used the substitute mineral of rutile.

We have studied to apply of a quantity of SBR contained high and domestic tire cord on manufacture tire. The Physical test of compounds and products, the travelling test of manufactured tires last year had revealed a good results. 1. The physical properties indicated better values than those found in the requirments of military specification. 2. Adhesion of carcass ply cord showed a good results. 3. The physical properties between 1260 d/2 nylon cord and 840d/2 nylon cord of domestic products be showed similar values and its have a results by 2-3 times than standards.

This study investigated the flexural performance of SHCC beams with expansive admixture according to shrinkage and hydration heat. The flexural behavior of beams subjected to four-point loading test. Test results indicated that EX-PE30 compare with PE30 initial cracking load, the stiffness, the yielding strength was higher. These outstanding performances are due to reduction in shrinkage and hydration heat.

다양한 분야에서 빠르게 대용량의 자료가 생성됨에 따라 이를 처리하기 위해 분산 프로그래밍 모델인 MapReduce의 활용이 도입되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SUN Blade150에 Solaris와 Linux 환경의 클러스터 시스템을 구축한 뒤 해당 환경에서의 MapReduce 미들웨어인 Hadoop 에서 응용수행에 대한 평균 시간 및 표준 편차를 평가하여 Hadoop 기반 MapReduce 구현이 어떠한 클러스터 시스템에 의해 성능이 영향을 미치는지를 보인다. According to the growth of data being generated in man fields, a distributed programming model MapReduce has been introduced to handle it. In this paper, we build two cluster system with Solaris and Linux environment on SUN Blade150 respectively and then to evaluate the performance of a MapReduce application running on MapReduce middleware Hadoop in terms of its average elapse time and standard deviation. As a result of this experiment, we show that the overall performance of the MapReduce application based on Hadoop is affected by the configuration of the cluster system.
