본 연구에서는 심장 돌연사(sudden cardiac death, SCD)의 주된 원인인 심실세동(ventricular fibrillation)을 기존의 monophasic 제세동기와는 달리 낮은 에너지에서 효율적으로 제거할 수 있는 biphasic 자동형 제세동기를 개발하였다. 개발한 제세동기는 고전압 충 $.$ 방전부와 신호 처리부의 하드웨어와 세동검출 알고리즘과 시스템 제어 알고리즘의 소프트웨어로 구성하였고, 160번의 연속적인 충 $.$ 방전 테스트를 통하여 안정성을 확인하였으며, ECC simulator에서 발생되는 6종의 총 30가지 세동신호에 실시간 세동점출 알고리즘을 적용하여 검출능력을 평가하였다 또한 그 시스템의 임상적 효용성과 안전성을 검증하기 위하여 5마리의 돼지를 대상으로 시스템의 적절한 세동 검출 및 세동 제거 능력을 실험하였고 그 후 시스템의 효용성을 향상시키기 위한 연구로 동일한 에너지를 다른 전압 레벨에서 방전시켜 이에 따른 제세동 효율을 조사하였다. In this paper, an automatic external biphasic defibrillator that removes ventricular fibrillation efficiently with a low discharging energy has been developed. The system is composed of software including a fibrillation detection algorithm and a system control algorithm, and hardware including a high voltage charging/discharging part and a signal processing part. The stability of the developed system has been confirmed through continuous charging/discharging test of 160 times and the detection capability of the real-time fibrillation detection algorithm has been estimated by applying a total of 30 various fibrillation signals. In order to verify the clinical efficiency and safety, the system has been applied to five pigs before and after fibrillation inductions. Also, we have investigated the system efficiency in removing fibrillation by applying two different discharging waveforms, which have the same energy but different voltage levels.

Objectives: Diabetes mellitus produces histological evidence of endothelial alterations as well as changes in vascular function in experimental animal. Oxygen free radicals interfere with or destroy endothelium-dependent relaxation in normal and diabetic blood vessels. The present study was investigated whether the duration of diabetic state can affect the severity of impairment in endothelium-dependent and/or independent relaxation and the sensitivity to oxygen free fadical (OFR)-induced damage in diabetic rat vasculature. Methods: The relaxative responses of aortic rings precontracted with norepinephrine in vitro to cumulative concentrations of acetylcholine (ACh) and nitroglycerine (NTG) were conducted in 3- and 10- week streptozotocin (STZ)-diabetic rats and agematched controls. After exposure to H2O2 generated by mixing xanthine and xanthine oxidase, the degree of impairment in relaxative responses to ACh and NTG were also compared between 3- and 10-week diabetic rats. Results: The relaxative responses of aortic rings produced by cumulative concentrations of ACh were significantly lower in both 3- and 10-week diabetic rats than in the age-matched controls. The impairments of relaxative responses to ACh in 10-week diabetic rats were significantly greater than those in 3-week ones. After H2O2 exposure, the impairments of relaxative responses to ACh in 3- and 10- week diabetic aortas was also significantly greater than those in the control ones. However, the severity of H -induced damage in 10-week diabetic aortas was not significantly different than that in 3-week ones. In contrast, aortic rings of 3- and 10-week diabetic rats could still be fully relaxed by NTG, even after exposure to H2O2. Conclusion: These findings suggest that in STZ-diabetic rat aortas selective impairment of endothelium-dependent relaxation to ACh can be found early even over a 3-week period after the induction of diabetes and the impairment may be greater in those with the longer duration of the diabetic state and that the impairment of the vascular relaxation by OFR is also selective to endothelium-dependent response but the sensitivity of OFR-induced damage may not be related to the duration of the diabetic state

Objectives : The cardiorespiratory fitness including maximal oxygen uptake(VO, max) in diabetics is generally known to be low, but it is also reported to vary depending upon the type of diabetes mellitus and presence or absence of complicating coronary heart disease and/or cardiovascular autonomic dysfunctions. The purpose of our study is to assess cardiorespiratory fitness and energy metabolism at maximal exercise in non-insulin dependent diabetics without these complications. Methods : Symptom-limited maximal exercise tests by Bruce protocol were carried out in 28 non-insulin dependent diabetic men with neither clinical cardiopulmonary diseases nor cardiovascular autonomic dysfunctions and in 103 matched controls. Comparisons of HR max, VO2 max and their derivatives, and respiratory exchange ratio(RER) and energy expenditure(EE) were made between the diabetics and the controls. In addition, the correlations of RER and EE with the various body characteristics including age were computed. Results: The mean of various parameters reflecting cardiorespiratory responses to maximal exercise and indices of energy metabolism such as RER and EE showed no significant differences between the diabetics and the controls. However, the EE at maximal exercise in the diabetics was significantly inversely correlated with the age alone(r=-0.61, p<0.001), whereas in the controls, it showed a slight negative correlation with age(r= -0.37, p<0.01). Conclusion: These findings suggest that cardiorespiratory fitness level and energy metabolism at maximal exercise in non-insulin dependent diabetic men unaccompanying cardiovascular diseases and autonomic dysfunctions are essentially similar to the normal controls. Nonetheless, the fact that the EE at maximal exercise is highly correlated with the age in the diabetics may be of value to be considered in exercise prescription for these patients.

RT-eCos 3.0은 대표적 분산 실시간 객체 모델인 TMO(Time-triggered Message-triggered Object)의 기본적 태스크 모델 실행을 위하여 eCos 3.0 기반으로 개발된 초경량 경성 실시간 임베디드 운영체제이다. 본 논문에서는 RT-eCos 3.0 기반의 다중센서 데이터 처리를 위한 모듈의 설계 및 구현에 대해 기술하며, 실시간 다중센서 데이터 처리를 위한 스케줄링 사전분석 기술에 대해서도 기술한다.

In this study, OSA (the obstructive sleep apnea) periods were detected in patients with OSA during sleep because of the treatment was different according to the frequency and symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea. ANS (autonomic nervous activity) was changed by obstructive sleep apnea periods so we intended to detect the periods to care the obstructive sleep apnea patients. RR intervals, SDNN (standard deviation of normal to normal) and RMSSD (root mean square standard deviation) were calculated in time domain analysis and LF (low frequency), HF (high frequency), NHF (normalized high frequency), NLF (normalized low frequency) were calculated in frequency domain analysis of HRV (heart rate variability) with obstructive sleep apnea patients. In this paper, SDNN (standard deviation of normal to normal) of time domain analysis were decreased in the obstructive sleep apnea periods. And NLF and LF/HF ratio were increased and NHF (normalized high frequency) was decreased in the frequency domain analysis. The parameters can be used to treat obstructive sleep apnea patients by detecting the obstructive sleep apnea periods such as CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure).

전장 네트워크에서 주요 백본으로 사용 될 1 Gbps 동기식 이더넷의 등장으로, 기존의 전장용네트워크들을 새로운 동기식 이더넷과 연결하기 위한 인터 네트워킹(inter-networking)의 필요성이 점차 커지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 조만간 주요 자동차 공급 업체에서 이용 예정인 1 Gbps 동기식 이더넷 백본에 대비하기 위해, MOST(Media Oriented Systems Transport) 디바이스들의 링(Ring) 네트워크와 이더넷 디바이스간의 기존 100 Mbps 이더넷 백본을 통한 새로운 상호 연결 프로토콜과 게이트웨이를 개발하였다. MOST 네트워크 디바이스들을 위한 상호 통신 응용 프로그램은 Function Block(FBlock)이라 불리는 콜백 함수(Callback Function)의 집합으로 구성되어 있어, 기존 이더넷이 가지는 데이터 송수신 체계와 매우 다르다. 즉 MOST 및 이더넷 디바이스간의 종단 간 응용 프로그램 수준에서의 대화 메커니즘을 제공하기 위해 Ether-MOST inter-CONnection(EMOCON) 프로토콜과 게이트웨이를 함께 개발하여 새로운 전장용 하이브리드 네트워크 프로토콜을 제공한다. 개발된 EMOCON 프로토콜과 게이트웨이를 사용하면, 다수의 MOST 및 이더넷 디바이스간의 연결로 높은 대역폭의 하이브리드 전장 네트워크를 구성할 수 있다. 본 연구는 주 자동차 기업에서 가까운 장래에 출시되어 범용화 될 것으로 보이는 1 Gbps 동기식 이더넷의 등장에 대비한 것이다. Due to the emergence of the 1 Gbps Synchronous Ethernet as the backbone in automotive networks, it is increasingly important to develop inter-networking mechanisms to connect legacy networks with the new Synchronous Ethernet. In this paper, the development of a new interconnection protocol and a gateway for exchanging control and data packets between Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST) and Ethernet devices is introduced. A MOST application consists of a set of callback functions, referred to as function blocks (FBlocks), and this scheme is quite different from the Ethernet’s send-receive scheme. To provide an application-level mechanism for talking between MOST and Ethernet devices, a novel inter-networking protocol named Ether-MOST inter-CONnection (EMOCON) and a gateway have been developed. The combination of the EMOCON protocol and the gateway, allow the construction of a hybrid, high-bandwidth automotive network with a flexible number of MOST and Ethernet devices. This work is a preparation for the rollout of the wide usage of the 1 Gbps Synchronous Ethernet that will be announced by major automobile vendors in the near future.
실시간 객체지향 프로그램의 실행시간을 감시하는 모니터의 설계 및 구현

본 논문에서는 실시간 객체 모델인 TMO(Time-triggered Message-triggered Object)에 기반을 둔 실시간 객체지향 프로그램의 시간 제약이 제대로 만족되는가를 시스템 수행 중에 감시하기 위한 모니터의 효과적인 구현 방안에 대하여 논한다. 구현 환경으로 윈도우 OS상의 TMO 프로그램 실행 환경인 WTMOS(Windows TMO System)를 이용하였고, 감시 주체가 되는 수행 시간 모니터의 성능 분석을 위하여 온도 제어를 위한 응용 시스템이 구축되었다. 모니터 대상과 모니터 조건을 TMO 프로그램내에 명시하는 방법과 정의된 모니터의 기능을 WTMOS 내부와 TMO 형태의 응용 객체로 분산시켜서 적은 비용으로 시스템을 구축하는 방법을 제시한다. This paper presents an efficient implementation of a run-time monitor which checks the satisfaction of the timing constraints of real-time object-oriented programs based on a real-time object model called TMO(Time-triggered Messagedtriggered Object). An execution environment of TMO programs on Windows as, WTMOS(Windows TMO System) has been utilized for the implementation and an experimental application for thermostatic control has been developed to analyze the performance of the run-time monitor. We suggest a methodology for application programmers to specify the target methods with the monitoring conditions and an implementation technique which incurs the small cost by effectively distributing the functions of the monitor into the WTMOS and a TMO object.
