        과초산(過酢酸)에 의한 독일가문비나무의 탈리그린화의 적정조건

        The delignification with peracetic acid in spruce wood (Picea abies Karst)were investigated on the variation of reaction time, temperature and the concentration of peracetic acid (PA). Holocellulose, acid-insoluble lignin in the holocellulose (=residual lignin), the content of alpha-cellulose and polyose fractions A and B were determined. The higher the reaction temperature and the concentration of PA and the longer the reaction time, the more the delignification with PA were accelerated, whileas the treatment at temperature lower than 54℃ resulted in a poor delignification. The content in alpha-cellulose and residual lignin depended on the degree of delignification. The yield of polyoses was, however, mostly unrelated to the conditions of delignification. The losses of mannan and xylan reached 30-40℃ during the reaction. Considering the content of residual lignin and polysaccharide, the following reaction condition may he suitable for the delginification test in laboratory, 5% of PA, 90℃ for 1 hr or 10%, 70℃ 2 hrs.

        Predictive factors of drainage volume and drain duration after the inframammary approach to nipple-areolar-complex sparing mastectomy and implant-based breast reconstruction

        The placement of a closed suction drain is indispensable for preventing serious infections; however, closed suction drains are inevitably accompanied by increases in local infections, pain, and length of hospital stay, and delays in breast cancer treatment including postoperative chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We analyzed predictive factors of total drainage volume and duration. Methods Among patients who were diagnosed with primary breast cancer between January 2016 and December 2017, we retrospectively analyzed those who underwent immediate implant-based breast reconstruction. Factors that could affect the total volume and duration of drainage, including lipo-prostaglandin E1 use, preoperative chemotherapy, resected breast issue weight, age, body mass index (BMI), serum white blood cell count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and C-reactive protein (CRP) level, were analyzed. Results The mean volume and duration of drainage were 1,213.6 mL and 14.8 days respectively. BMI and CRP on postoperative day (POD) 1 were correlated with the total drainage volume. Age, BMI, and resected breast tissue weight were correlated with the drainage duration. Multiple regression analysis showed that CRP level on POD 1, age, and resected breast tissue weight significantly affected the drainage duration. Multiple regression analysis also showed that the total drainage volume was significantly affected by BMI and CRP level on POD 1. Conclusions The factors found to affect the duration of drainage in patients undergoing implant-based breast reconstruction were CRP on POD 1, age, resected breast tissue weight, and BMI. The CRP level on POD 1 and BMI influenced the total volume of drainage.

        도수 정복되지 않는 근위 지간 관절의 개방성 후방 탈구

        근위 지간 관절의 후방 탈구는 정형외과 영역에서 자주 접하는 수부 손상 중 하나이다. 대부분의 경우 단순한 도수 조작만으로도쉽게 정복이 되나, 드물게 도수 조작으로 정복이 되지 않아 수술적 정복이 필요한 경우도 있다. 저자들은 근위 지간 관절의개방성 후방 탈구에서 굴곡건에 의하여 도수 정복이 되지 않아 수술적 정복술을 시행한 증례를 보고하고자 한다. 굴곡건이근위지골의 골두와 중위지골의 기저부 사이에 감입되어 있어 탐침자를 이용하여 굴곡건을 제 위치로 옮긴 후에야 비로소 정복을얻을 수 있었다.

        급성 및 만성 영양장애가 소화효소 활성 및 세포기능에 미치는 실험적 연구

        A variety of digestive Enzymes of pancreatic and intestinal origin participate in the breakdown of protein, carbohydrate and lipids. It has been known that some of enzyme output of the intestinal glands can be manipulated by altering components of the diet. The incidence of patients who are suffering from gastrointestinal trouble in Korea is much higher than that of the United States. This fact might correlate with diet composition of Korean and American dishes. These facts are attractive for us to study the effect of diet composition on the digestive enzymes such as amylase, lipase, trypsin and chymotrypsin, and to decide whether the difference of diet composition affects these enzymes and whether such high incidence of gastroin testinal patients in Korea could be adequately explained by change in digestive enzyme activities of the animals fed with different diet. Our previous experiments have shown that pancreatic enzyme activites of rats fed with 5% casein diet which was prepared similarly to Korean diet in terms of protein content only were depressed as much as one fifth of that of control during two weeks feeding period. but it is true that protein is not only depleted but fat is also depleted in Korean dishes. The primary objective of the experiments described herein was to study the effect on the pancreatic enzyme activities of diet which was similarly prepared to Korean dishes and also to study the effect on the pancreatic enzyme activities of varying the proportion of fat to carbohydrate in the diet which is keeping the diet isonitrogenous and isocaloric. Data from this experiment will be discussed ire conjunction with previously published results conducted in our laboratory in order to illustrate how the high incidence of gastrointestinal patients in Korea could be adequately explained by diet prepared in similar composition to the Korean dishes. In a random distribution, male albino rats, weighing the average of 80 gm each were divided into five groups. Group I ; 5% casein : no fat : carbohydrate Group II ; 5% casein : 12% fat : carbohydrate Group III ; 18% casein : no fat : carbohydrate Group IV ; 18% casein : 12% fat : carbohydrate Group V ; 18% casein : high fat : carbohydrate (ratio of fat to carbohydrate 94 : 6) Calorie difference from protein or fat depletion was substitiuted by carbohydrate. At the end of designated time interval, the rats were sacrificed 14-15 hours after the last meal by decapitation. The pancreas was carefully romoved and placed in a cold 0. 25M sucrose solution (4℃). A 5% homogenate in 0.25M sucrose was prepared from the glandular {free of obvious lymph nodes and adipose tissue) portion of the pancreas. 5:% Homogenates were centrifuged (14,000 x g) for 15 minutes to remove cellular debris and whole cells. Enzyme analysis and protein determination were subsequently performed on the supernatant. Protein was determined by Lawry method (1951). Enzyme activity assays were performed using modification of Hepler method (1962) for amylase and the method developed by Cherry and Crandall (1932) for lipase. Chymotryptic assays were performed using a modification of method developed by Rhodes et al. (1957), as a substrate for chymotrypsinogen N-acetyl-L-tyrosine ethyl ester was used. Trypsinogen assay was similarly performed using p-toluene-sulfonyl-L-arginine methyl ester as a substrate. The assays were linear with respect to enzyme concentration over the range used under specified conditions such as temperature (37℃) and incubation period, 30 minutes for amylase, 1 hour for lipase, and for the trypsinogen and chymotrypsinogen the recording of dye disappearing of optical density was recorded 2 to 3 seconds after adding substrate-buffer-indicator The results of the experiments in which the effect of different composition of nutrient which was prepared in similar composition to Korean dishes on pancreatic enzyme acitivities are summarized as the following.         전통 황칠 도료 개발에 관한 연구 (Ⅰ) : 황칠나무와 황칠액의 해부학적 특성과 화학적 조성 Anatomical Characteristics and Chemical Composition of Wood and Exudates of Hwangchil - namu (Dendropanax morbifera)

        As a way to revive the traditional technology of Korean golden varnish(Hwangchil), the exudates of D. marbifera, this study was carried out at first to investigate the anatomical characteristics and the chemical composition of D. morbifem stems and their exudates. Trees of more than 20 years old were harvested at Wando and Jejudo islands in the southwestern part of Korean peninsula during different physiological seasons of winter, spring, and summer. The results obtained are as follows: 1. In the anatomical aspect of wood, Hwangchil woods is ring-porous wood, has alternate intervessel pittings and horizontal intercellular canal in xylem. 2. In the chemical aspect of wood and bark, the general compositions appeared hot to differ from those of other hardwoods, and ash and alcohol-benzene extractives showed little increase with the increase of atmospheric temperature of harvesting season. 3. In the solvent-sequential extraction of bark, wood and exudate, the exudates was extracted up to 80% by ether, but the bark and wood contained a very small amount of ether extractives, about 2% in the bark and 0.5% in the xylem.
