Introduction : The goal in the management of soft tissue injuries of the lower extremity is to obtain a closed stable wound as soon as possible. Recently, An anatomic study that has shown the role of the vascular axis that follows the superficial sensory nerves in supplying the skin developed the concept of a neuroskin island flap. It has been suggested that skin island flaps supplied by the vascular network of the saphenous nerve is one of the most reliable treatment to skin defect below the knee joint. Purpose : The aim of this article is to present a clinical experience of neuroskin island flaps based on the saphenous nerve and to estimate the clinical utilities of distally based saphenous neuroskin flap. Materials and Methods : From September 1995 to May 2000, a total 12 distally based neuroskin island flaps supplied by the vascular axis of the saphenous nerve were performed to cover defects in pretibial area below the knee. Result : flap necrosis due to reactivation of existing infection developed in a case that skin defect had been on infected nonunion site of tibia. But other 11 cases survived completely without any specific complications. Conclusion : The distally based neuroskin pedicled island flap using the vascular network of the saphenous nerve are versatile and reliable and especially indicated for limited defects in pretibial area below the knee joint which are not good indications for other better-known flaps.

Bismuth layered structure ferroelectric thin films, $Bi_4$$Ti_3$$O_{12}$ / (BTO) and Nb-doped BTO (BTN) were prepared on the Pt(111)/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si(100) substrates by a sol-gel route. We investigated the Nb-doping effect on the grain orientation and ferroelectric properties. $Nb^{5+}$ ion substitution for $Ti^{4+}$ ion in perovskite layers of BTO decreased the degree of c-axis orientation and increased the remanent polarization (2Pr). The fatigue resistance of Nb-doped BTO thin film was shown to be superior to that of BTO, and the leakage current of Nb-doped BTO thin film was decreased about 1 order of magnitude compared with BTO. The improvement of ferroelectric properties with $Nb^{5+}$ doping in BTO could be attributed to the changes in space charge densities and grain orientation in the thin film.
폐결핵(肺結核) 환자(患者)에서 수소(愁訴)가 치료과정(治療過程)에 미치는 영향(影響)

In order to investigate the relation of subjective complaints to objective course of treatment in pulmonary tuberculosis, one hundred and seventy four cases registered at the University Health Center in Chonnam University were divided into two groups, complaint group and non-complaint group. By analysing the record at the University Health Center during these seven years from 1973 to 1979, following results were obtained: 1. In complaint group who had subjective symtoms, thirty eight cases(77.6%) among forty nine cases were detected. at clinic visit. In non-complaint group who had not any symtoms, one hundred and twenty one cases (96.8%) among one hundred and twenty five cases were detected at compulsive physical examination. 2. Comparisons of complaint group with non-complaint group were not statistically significant in many aspects, but significantly higher cases were discharged at the University Health Center to receive other medical service in complaint group than in non-complaint group. (6.1% vs 0.8%, respectively) On the contrary, non-complaint group refused medication more than two times compared with complaint group in the course of treatment (29.9% vs 12.2%, respectively). 3. In the average time lag from initial diagnosis to initial treatment, comparisons between complaint vs non-complaint group were significant (7.8 vs 28.3 days, respectively). 4. Subjective symptoms were thought to create motivation to receive therapy, and influence of motivation to therapy was strong at initial stage but it become weaker as time passed.

다결정 실리콘에서 결정입계는 광생성된 반송자들의 재결합 중심으로 작용할 뿐 아니라 전위장벽으로 작용하여 태양전지의 변환효율을 감소시킨다. 결정입계의 영향을 줄이기 위해 열처리, 결정입계에 대한 선택적 식각, 결정입계로 함몰전극을 형성하는 방법, 다양한 전극 구조, 초박막 금속 형성 후 전극형성 등 여러가지 요소들을 조사하였다. 질소 분위기에서 $900^{\circ}C$ 전열처리, $POCl_3$ 확산을 통한 게터링, 후면전계 형성을 위한 Al 처리로 다결정 실리콘의 결함밀도를 감소시켰다. 결정입계에서의 반송자 손실을 감소시키기 위한 기판 처리로 Schimmel 식각액을 사용하였다. 이는 texturing 효과와 함께 결정입계를 선택적으로 $10{\mu}m$ 깊이로 식각하였다. 결점입계를 우선적으로 식각한 후면으로 Al을 확산하여 후면에서의 재결합 손실을 감소시켰다. 전극 핑거(grid finger) 간격이 0.4mm인 세밀한 전극 구조에 결정입계로 $0.4{\mu}m$ 깊이로 함몰전극을 추가로 형성하여 태양전지의 단락 전류 밀도가 개선되었다. 80% 이상의 광투과율을 보인 20nm 두께의 크롬 박막 형성으로 직렬 저항을 감소시켰다. 본 논문은 저가의 고효율, 지상 전력용 태양진지를 위해 결정입계에 대한 연구를 하였다. Because grain boundaries in polycrystalline silicon act as potential barriers and recombination centers for the photo-generated charge carriers, these defects degrade conversion effiency of solar cell. To reduce these effects of grain boundaries, we investigated various influencing factors such as thermal treatment, various grid pattern, selective wet etching for grain boundaries, buried contact metallization along grain boundaries, grid on metallic thin film. Pretreatment above $900^{\circ}C$ in $N_2$ atmosphere, gettering by $POCl_3$ and Al treatment for back surface field contributed to obtain a high quality poly-Si. To prevent carrier losses at the grain boundaries, we carried out surface treatment using Schimmel etchant. This etchant delineated grain boundaries of $10{\mu}m$ depth as well as surface texturing effect. A metal AI diffusion into grain boundaries on rear side reduced back surface recombination effects at grain boundaries. A combination of fine grid with finger spacing of 0.4mm and buried electrode along grain boundaries improved short circuit current density of solar cell. A ultra-thin Chromium layer of 20nm with transmittance of 80% reduced series resistance. This paper focused on the grain boundary effect for terrestrial applications of solar cells with low cost, large area, and high efficiency.
슬링운동과 스위스볼 운동이 체간 유연성 및 근력에 미치는 영향

Purpose : The Purpose of this study was performed to find out back flexibility and strength by Swiss ball and sling exercise. Methods : Subjects were randomly assigned to 3 groups; Swiss ball(n=9), Sling(n=8) and Swiss ball and Sling(n=8). Each groups had the exercise 30 minute per week for 4 weeks. The case of Swiss ball-sling group had 15 minutes for ball exercise and 15 minute for sling exercise. Results : First, sling group among groups significantly increased in flexibility test 1. Second, ball group among groups significantly increased in flexibility test 2. Third, ball-sling group among groups significantly increased in strength test 1 and 2. Fourth, follow-up study after 2 weeks was revealed that flexibility and strength were decreased in all groups. Conclusion : The effect were not consistent with exercise methods. Accordingly, it should be selected for purpose and effect you want.
NH4+- N 흡착제로서의 천연 Zeolite ( 제올라이트 ) 의 이용

This study was conducted to examine the adsorption capacity of NH₄^+-N by natural zeolite for the purpose of investigating the possibility for NH₄^+-N eliminator of Korean natural zeolite. The dominant clay minerals of zeolite were clinoptilolite and mordenite. The reaction of NH₄^+-N adsorption by zeolite reached equilibrium after 4hrs. The amount of NH₄^+-N adsoption by zeolite was not significantly affected by the particle size of zeolite. The order of NH₄^+-N adsorption by zeolite according to exchangeable cations was Na-> Ca> K-saturated zeolite. The amount of NH₄^+-N adsorption by zeolite was increased with increasing pH of solution and the ratio of zeolite to the volume of solution. The isothermal curvel of NH₄^+-N adsorption by zeolite was conformed to Langmuir equation.

Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis(Idiopathic Histiocytosis, Histiocytosis-X) is most often found in children and young adults, and cell proliferation with specific phenotype shows ultrastructural and immunohistochemical similarities with Langerhans Cells that normally exist in epithelium and mucosa. This disease occurs as single or multiple lesions in skull, ribs, vertebrae, mandible and long bones, and when it involves mandible, clinical sign and symptoms such as bone swelling and pain are noticed. When it involves alveolar bone, severe tooth mobility as well as gigival inflammation, proliferation, and ulceration are commonly found, and so it is not easy to differentiate it from general inflammatory diseases. Any local lesion at the tooth apex on the x-ray view needs to be differentiated from inflammatory disease, and multiple lesions from multiple ostoeoma and chronic multifocal osteomyelitis. This case is LCH in 51-year-old male patient ; this is a rare case, for the patient belongs to an age group with very low incidence rate of the disease. although three-timed biopsy tests and longterm observation at two university hospitals, it was misdiagnosed as multifocal osteomyelitis.
