Objectives: The aim of this study was to find an effective medical device to detect cold sensation of hands. Methods: Patients with cold sensation of hands (N=42) were recruited in July 2013. We surveyed patients’ general characteristics, severity of cold sensation, body temperature in Nogung (PC8) and Hyeopbaek (LU4) measured with a digital thermometer, digital infrared thermal imaging, and pulse wave velocity. Results: The relation between severity of cold sensation and temperature in Nogung (PC8) and Hyeopbaek (LU4) was statistically significant. The results showed a higher correlation of severity of cold sensation with Nogung (PC9) than with Hyeopback (LU4) temperature. No other indices were statistical significant. Conclusions: Measuring the Nogung (PC9) temperature is most reasonable for assessing the severity of cold sensation of hands. To generalize this result, however, a large-scale study is warranted.
충진층식 스크러버의스프레이 시스템 최적 설계에 대한 수치해석적 연구

This study evaluates the performance of the packed bed scrubber and proposes the optimization of spray system for improvements of collection efficiency. The packed bed scrubber is used primarily in the semiconductor manufacturing process. The mean diameter of entering solid particles in scrubber is the submicron. The impaction between water droplets and solid particles is an important factor in removing the solid particles. Thus, the coverage area of spray system influences on the collection efficiency. The collection efficiency of a single droplet is calculated through the mathematical model and numerical calculations are performed for coverage area for each nozzle type (Droplet diameters: 500, 319.5, 289.5㎛) and injected directions (0, 15, 30°). In case of nozzle type 3, the collection efficiency of a single droplet is highest but the collection efficiency of spray system has lowest value because the ratio of flow rate between the gas and water is below 0.1. The results show the coverage area ratio is about 85% in the case of nozzle type 3 and downward direction 15°. It was shown that a coverage area increase by two times than an existing spray system. In simulation of demister, collection efficiency by demister is predicted about 80% and the pressure drop in demister is below 3.5 Pa.

Now days CAE has been used for almost all injection molding designs in order to find the best injection conditions. Almost all CAE use 2-D mesh, but the CAE with 2-D mesh can't indicate such as jetting, flow-mark and filling imbalance in multi cavity mold. In this study, we suggested a new 3D meshing. the method which can indicate the filling imbalance in geometrically balanced runner system with Mold Flow MPI 6.1 and we found out that the calculation times are saved. As a feasibility study, we verified that Melt Flipper, RC Pin etc appeared the balanced filling behaviors. of geometrically balanced runner system and Melt Flipper, filling imbalance was indicated more accurately.
