Phytagglutinins(PHAs) would be classified into pan(non-specific), type-specific, and race-specific according to the nature of agglutinating activity on red blood cells. Type-specific PHAs, so called lectins, have been contributed to the new classifications of human red blood cell types, i.e. Cl, Htr, DL, Vp etc. and these outcomes made it possible to confirm individualities more precisely in medicolegal field. Recently, as a new approach, human sera were classified into several types by their inhibiting properties to some PHAs, which showed panagglutinating activities on certain animal red blood cells. So the author tried to classify human sera in a new type by use of Dolichos lablab L. extract which acted as a panPHA on cat red blood cells and concluded as follows. 1. The human sera would be classified into two types. One had certain substance which inhibited agglutinating activities of Dolichos lablab L. on cat red blood cells and the other hadn't. 2. The former was 34% and the latter was 66% in frequency. 3. The results showed no constant relationships with other blood or serum types, such as ABO, CI, H, ab.C, CCI, Hp, DL and WDL etc. 4. This new grouping of human sera would be applicable for the new classification of bloodstains.

We have been studying various polymeric complex fluids and soft matters with interesting functionalities under external fields including typical flow fields of laminar flow with most cases of rheological aspects and turbulent flow, electric and magnetic fields. They include turbulent drag reduction, polymer nanocomposites with clay, carbon nanotube and graphene oxide, DNA dynamics under turbulent flow, rheology of PFPE lubricant and biodegradable polymers, electrorheological (ER) fluids, electronic paper, and electrospinning under an electric field in addition to magnetorheological (MR) suspensions under applied magnetic fields. Among these, turbulent drag reduction along with DNA dynamics, Brownian motion, ER and MR fluids will be delivered along with Pickering emulsion polymerized smart materials.

초고속정보통신망의 구축이 효율적이고 신뢰성 있는 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 위성/지상망을 통합한 혼합망 구조로 개발됨에 따라 지상 광파이버를 기반으로 개발된 ATM 전송프로토콜을 위성망에 직접적으로 적용하기 위한 기술개발이 요구된다. 이러한 점을 고려하여 본 고에서는 위성 ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) 전송에 따른 문제점 분석, 개선방안 및 성능평가를 수행하였다. 혼합망 구성에 따른 위성망의 구조를 접속된 지상노드의 유형 및 위성시스템 특성에 따라 3가지 유형으로 분류하여 제시하였고, 위성 ATM 전송에 따른 기술적인 문제점을 채널 BER과 위성지연 측면으로 분류하여 제시하였다. 위성채널 BER 성능개선을 위한 2가지 방안(인터리빙, HEC 보강)을 제시하였으며 위성지연분석은 고정지연(Fixed delay)과 셀지연변이(CDV : Cell Delay Variation) 측면에서 성능평가를 수행하였다.

2중 용체화처리에 따른 Ti-6AI-4V합금의 미세조직과 인장특성

The relationship between microstructures and tensile properties depending on various solution treatment temperature and cooling rate of Ti-6A1-4V alloy have been investigated. The complex and random edge shaped $\alpha$ phases were formed after the 1st solution treatment at $\beta$ region and the 2nd solution treatment at $900^{\circ}C$, which was followed by furnace cooled. When the specimen was subjected to the 2nd solution treated at $950^{\circ}C$, and furnace cooled, $\alpha$ phase changed its morphology to equiaxed structure. The aspect ratio showing the appreciation basis of microstructual refinement decreases with the temperature of 1st and 2nd solution treatment. The slightly decrease in strength were observed in the Widmanstltten structures than in the bimodal structures. Also, ductility of the Widmanstatten structures was considerable lower than that of bimodal structures. The tensile-fractured surface of the Widmanstatten structures appears to be quasi-cleavage and dimple fracture, while that of the bimodal structures was the type of ductile fracture. The tensile fracture surface of the bimodal structures can easily be separated into cental crack areas lying generally perpendicular to the tensile axis and shear lip areas lying at angles of high shear(around 45 deg.) to the tensile axis.
