Amputation neuroma or traumatic neuroma is a tumor-like secondary hyperplasia that may develop after an accidental or surgical trauma. Amputation neuroma of the bile duct has occasionally been reported which occurred in the cystic duct stump late after the cholecystectomy. However, even if the amputation neuroma is suspected in a patient with late-onset jaundice after cholecystectomy, the differential diagnosis from a malignancy is difficult preoperatively. We experienced a case of the amputation neuroma of common bile duct (CBD) developed in a 70-year-old man who presented with a polypoid mass in CBD. He had undergone cholecystectomy 25 years ago and choledochojejunostomy 12 years ago, respectively. We have performed pylorus-preserving pancreatico-duodenectomy (PPPD) under the impression of CBD cancer. He had not been diagnosed of amputation neuroma until having undergone PPPD. We report a case of CBD neuroma mimicking CBD cancer, which was confirmed after PPPD. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2008;52:32-36)
밀폐유도용해로 제조된 Co<sub>1-x</sub>Fe<sub>x</sub>Sb<sub>3</sub>의 열전특성

[ $Co_{1-x}Fe_xSb_3$ ] skutterudites were synthesized by encapsulated induction melting and their thermoelectric properties were investigated. Single phase ${\delta}-CoSb_3$ was successfully obtained by the subsequent heat treatment at 773 K for 24 hours in vacuum. However, ${\delta}-CoSb_3$ was decomposed to FeSb2 and Sb when $x{\leq}0.3$, which means that the solubility limit of Fe to Co is x<0.3. The positive signs of Seebeck coefficients for all Fe-doped specimens revealed that Fe atoms acted as p-type dopants by substituting Co atoms. Thermoelectric properties were remarkably enhanced by Fe doping and optimum composition was found to be $Co_{0.7}Fe_{0.3}Sb_3$ in this study.
저궤도 위성의 실시간 On-board 궤도 결정 성능 분석

본 논문에서는 확장 칼만 필터(Extended Kalman Filter)를 이용하여 On-board상에 적용 가능한 궤도 결정 방안을 제시하고 GPS 수신기에 적용하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 이때, On-board 상의 제한된 자원을 감안하여 본 연구에서는 J₂ 궤도 전파 모델과 GPS 항행해를 이용하여 궤도 결정을 수행하였으며 현재 운용 중인 두바이셋-2(DubaiSat-2) 인공위성에 적용한 결과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 GPS 항행해에서 불규칙하게 발생하는 수 km의 큰 오차가 제거되었고 위치 오차는 70.26 m에서 26.25 m로 65% 감소하였으며 속도 오차는 3.6 m/s에서 0.044 m/s로 96% 감소하여 정밀도가 향상된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. In this paper, a real time on-board orbit determination method using the extended kalman filter is suggested and its performance is analyzed in the environment of the orbit. Considering the limited on-board resources, the J2 orbit propagate model and the GPS navigation solution are used for on-board orbit determination. The analysis result of the on-board orbit determination method implemented in DubaiSat-2 showed that position and velocity error are improved from 70.26 m to 26.25 m and from 3.6 m/s to 0.044 m/s, respectively when abnormal excursion errors is removed in the GPS navigation solution.

N/A Backgroud/Aims: The nonspecific esophageal motility disorder (NEMD) has been reported to be related to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in some cases. However, the pathophysiologic mechanism of NEMD has not been estabilished. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of esophagitis and gastric acid reflux following abnormal contractions in patients with NEMD. Methods: 122 NEMD patients were enrolled (76 male and 46 female) and their endoscopic findings and 24 hour esophageal Ph data were compared with 24 healthy subj ects. The abnormal contractions were classified as 1) non-transmitted con-traction, 2) low amplitude contraction, 3) non-transmitted and low amplitude contraction, and 4) others. Results: Among the 122 patients with NEMD, 62 patients (50.8%) had GERD, 53 patients (43.4%) had endoscopic reflux esophagitis, and 41patients (33.6%) had both. Acid exposed time studied by 24 hour Ph monitoring was more increased in NEMD patients than in healthy controls (7.48 ±10.68 vs 1.42 ±1.17), but there were no differences among abnormal contraction patterns. Moderate to severe reflux esophagitis were frequently seen in patients with combined abnormal contractions as the results of endoscopic findings. Pre-existing factors for the gastric acid reflux in NEMD patients were male and esophageal hiatal hernia. Conclusions: Large numbers of NEMD patients were found to have concurrent GERD in our study. However, the esophageal peristaltic dysfunction was more closely related to the severity of esophagitis rather than to the amount of refluexed gastric acid itself. Dedifferentiated liposarcoma occurs in less than 10% of all liposarcomas and is found most often in the retroperitoneum and extremities. Although cases of the primary dedifferentiated liposarcoma have been sporadically reported internationally, only one case with 8×4.5×4 cm size originated from spermatic cord and one case with 10×7×5 cm size in right gluteal region have been reported in Korea, but not in retroperitoneum. We report one case of the primary giant dedifferentiated liposarcoma occurred in retroperitoneum with 32×22×20 cm size and 4,250 g weight. A 56-year old man was admitted due to the weight loss and diffuse abdominal pain. The abdominal computed tomography showed that a round huge mass was pressing the surrounding structures and showed delayed enhancement. Surgical excision was carried out. Histologically the tumor was composed of well differentiated liposarcomatous area and malignant fibrous histiocytoma-like dedifferentiated area. The patient refused further treatment and now he is undergoing the follow-up. (Korean J Med 62:552-556, 2002)

본 논문에서는 국내에서 개발된 인공위성 중 최초로 홀 추력기(Hall-effect Thruster)를 탑재한 두바이셋-2(DubiaSat-2)호의 궤도를 분석하여 홀 추력기의 성능을 검증하였다. 두바이셋-2호가 발사된 2013년 11월 21일(UTC) 이후 8개월간의 초기 궤도 운용을 위한 준비 및 수행 결과들에 대해 중점을 두었으며, 임무 수행 기간 중 태양활동이 궤도 변화에 미치는 영향력을 함께 분석하였다. 특히, 증가한 추력에 따른 실제 궤도 변화와 예측된 궤도를 비교하여 분석한 결과 홀 추력기는 지상 실험 결과와 유사한 11 mN 추력을 발생하고 있는 것을 확인하였다. 본 논문에서 정리된 내용은 추후 홀 추력기를 탑재한 인공위성의 초기 및 정상 임무기간 동안 궤도 운용 시 안정성과 효율성을 높이는데 주요 참고자료가 될 것으로 판단된다. DubaiSat-2 is the first satellite developed in Korea equipped with a hall-effect thruster. In this paper, the performance of the DubaiSat-2 hall-effect thruster is verified by analyzing the orbit information of DubaiSat-2. The preparation and performance of orbit operations during 8 months after launch (2013.11.21., UTC) is emphasized and the effects of solar activity on orbit evolution is analyzed. In particular, the hall-effect thruster’s thrust is estimated by analyzing difference between observed orbit evolution and predicted orbit. As a result, the estimated thrust is similar to the ground experiment result of 11 mN. The summarized result in this paper would be important reference to improve the stability and effectiveness of satellite operation during the early operation and normal mission lifetime in case of low Earth orbit satellites.
