이 연구에서는 중등학교 과학 교과서에서의 용해 현상 및 그와 관련된 내용에 대한 설명의 적절성과 과학 교사들의 지도 실태를 알아보았다. 연구 결과, 현재의 중${\cdot}$고등학교 과학 교과서에는 용해를 단순히 두 물질이 고르게 섞이거나 한 물질이 다른 물질 속으로 녹아 들어가는 현상으로 설명을 하고 있어 용해 과정을 용매화로 제대로 이해하기 어려운 실정이다. 또한, 설문 응답 교사들 중에는 용해를 콩 사이로 좁쌀이 끼어 들어가는 것과 같이 입자의 크기 차이에 비유하여 설명하는 경우가 많았다. 이와 같은 결과는 교사 자신이 용해 현상에 대해서 잘못 이해하고 있을 뿐 아니라 학생들에게 잘못된 개념이 그대로 전수되는 것으로 보인다. 결국 교사가 가지고 있는 옳지 못한 개념이 학생들에게 그대로 전이되어 용해에 대한 올바른 개념 형성을 어렵게 만들 것으로 생각된다. This study was to examine the appropriateness of explanation and science teachers' teaching practices on dissolution in secondary school science textbooks. The result showed that students had difficulty in understanding the process of dissolution as solvation. Because the textbooks referressolution. Eventually, students are expected to have a hard time in forming the right concept of dissolution by the misunderstanding of teachers.

In general autonomous vehicle needs a robot system or a servo motor system for maneuvering the steering system in order to autonomous driving. In this paper, we propose a robust steering servo system for autonomous vehicle equipped with an electric power steering system (EPS). The propose system allows human driver’s intervention within some certain limits while autonomous lane keeping system is actively engaged. The proposed system controls over CAN communication with the preinstalled EPS so that there are no overhead of hardware installation for the implementation of the proposed method. Its performance is validated through extensive simulations and experiments.

In general, sampling time of vision sensor is slower than that of the Lane Keeping System(LKS) controller. This paper proposes a multirate road lane estimation method for the improved steering performance of the autonomous vehicles. By using the proposed multirate road lane estimation scheme, the road lane information will be updated as fast as like the sampling time of LKS controller.

An uncertain lateral disturbance causes dangerous yaw motions of vehicles and unexpected steering angle perturbation. The lateral disturbance is compensated by additional steering torque input from a state space disturbance observer. The state space disturbance observer requires no accurate modeling of lateral disturbance. Usefulness of robust vehicular steering control system is validated through experiments.

Autonomous driving vehicle control system uses a vision sensor to get road information. Such vision sensor may provide poor detection performance due to different line intensities, and characters or imperfect lane marks on the road. In this paper, we propose a new lane estimator which uses a vehicle kinematics model. The estimator can provide predictive virtual lane even when vision system cannot provides reliable lane information due to poorly detected road images. The performance of the proposed control method is validated via simulations implemented with CarSim and Matlab/Simulink.

This paper presents design and experimental validation of the lane keeping system with a motor driven power steering system. The lane keeping system consists of multirate Kalman filter, state feedback controller and steering controller. The multirate Kalman filter is to estimate the vehicle states at a fast sample rate using a slow vision-based lane detection by a camera and fast motion detection by inertial sensors. The performance of proposed lane keeping system is experimentally validated with a test vehicle on a proving ground.

In near future about 500,000 hectares of Japanese larch and pitch pine need thinning to improve crop-tree spacing and reasonable species composition in Korea. Although thinned trees show very little high quality wood, in fact, all the sawed products are suitable for construction and farming materials. Studies on the utilization of thinned small-diameter trees have been implemented in order to increase lumber yield and display the skeleton of farm buildings. The results obtained in this study were summarized as follows: 1. According to Korean Conifers Log Grading System, log grade 3 was 87.4 percent in Japanese larch bolts and 95.8 percent in pitch pine bolts from thinned trees. The ability to identify defects was essential for grading lags. 2. Cutting diagrams of sawing were developed for 1-sided sawing, 2-sided sawing and 3-sided sawing by small end diameter class of bolt and cutting sizes also were found to use effectively lumber with wane. 3. Lumber recovery of Pitch pine was a little higher than that of Japanese larch. The maximum lumber yields of pitch pine by sawing patterns were 87.2 percent for 1-sided sawing, 80.8 percent for 2-sided sawing an 64.1 percent for 3-sided sawing, up yield compared with 5$.l percent for 4-sided sawing. The lumber yield of 1, 2 and 3-sided sawing significantly was higher value than that of 4-sided sawing. 4. Lumber was inspected and graded. Lumber quality of diameter class 12㎝ was a little better than that of diameter class $em, but 90 percent of lumber in diameter class 16㎝ fell into grade 3. The lumber grade was classified by Korean standard grades of confiers lumber. 5. Lumber from 1, 2 and 3-sided sawing was used to build the skeleton of a farm house (53㎡) and greenhouse (60㎡) in order to display more efficient use of small diameter trees from thinning. 6. Total volume of timber for building a farm house was 8.1 ㎥ of imported timber. Timber of 7㎥, 70 percent of total volume would be substituted imported timber for domestic timber.

In recent years, we have seen an increase in using thinned trees of Larix leptolepis Gordon from about 600.000ha of its plantation area in Korea. Although thinned trees virtually have the structure of low to medium-density woods, as a matter of facts, it is important for us to use small-diameter trees in various uses. The purpose of this study was to set up the borderline of juvenile and adult woods from variation in tracheid length and growth ring width by tree height. For this study, sample trees were from 5 areas selected and measured wood quality indicators necessary for investigating juvenile wood formation. Tracheid length by growth rings from pith at a breast-height showed quite different variation of its length at the 15th growth ring from pith. The regression equation found is as follows. log y = 0.1903 0.2831 log x It was found that tracheid length was short at tree butt and at a height of 11.2m point from but end and showed normal fluctuation at the range from 1.2m to 11.2m height. There were no significant difference in variation of tracheid length among the classes of DBH and planted areas. Relation between juvenile wood and tree height was found than juvenile wood was formed with the width the width of 4.2-7.2cm from pith at a height of 9.2m and narrowed its radius by rising up at a tree height.
