For the structural determination of oximes 2-methyl-3-methy-3-phenylin done oxime and indanone oxime,which have different substituents at 2-and 3-positions were synthesized together with their corresponding O-methyl ehthers.Measurements of intramolecular Overhauser effect(NOE)were carrid out by the application of proton magnetic double resonance techniques:2-Methyl-3-phenylindone oxime was found to be the Z configuration,while indanone oxime showed the E configuration.
Cyclophane 화합물의 합성과 Charge-Transfer 현상에 관한 연구

In an attempt to synthesize "organic metals" as well as to investigate the charge-transfer-interactions with relation to the dependence on donor strength, two 5, 6, 7, 8, 9-tetracyano[3.3] cyclophanes with naphthaline-donors of different ionization potential were synthesized via the corresponding dithia[4.4] phanes and their disulfones. The UV/Vis-spectra of the cyclophanes showed characteristic charge-transfer bands at the long wavelength regions: The position of the charge-transfer-maxima was shifted to the longer wavelength with increasing donor strength. As cyclization components for the synthesis of the dithia[4.4] phanes several of new precursor compounds were also synthesized and reported for the first time.
New blue emitter for OLED based on anthracene derivatives

A new blue emitting material including Anthracene moiety were synthesized. Optical properties were examined by UV-Vis. absorption spectra and PL spectra. When the synthesized compounds were used as emitting layers in non-doped OLED devices, structure of the device was fabricated as ITO / 2-TNATA (60 nm) / NPB (15 nm) / EML (35 nm) / Alq3 (20 nm) / LiF (1 nm) / Al.
Synthesis and electroluminescence properties of Hydrid white device(AA)

Three compounds of TP-AA-TP, TP-AA-TPB, TPB-AA-TPB for hydrid white device were demonstrated. Physical properties by the change of the substitution groups of the synthesized materials were systematically examined. Current efficiencies of TP-AA-TP, TP-AA-TPB, TPB-AA-TPB were 5.58, 4.91, 3.06 cd/A respectively. Power efficiencies of TP-AA-TP, TP-AA-TPB, TPB-AA-TPB were 2.16, 1.92, 1.01 lm/W respectively. Quantum efficiencies of TP-AA-TP, TP-AA-TPB, TPB-AA-TPB were 2.96, 2.32, 1.32 % respectively. TP-AA-TP showed the best performance when the current efficiency and power efficiency, quantum efficiency of device reached 5.58 cd/A, lm/W, 2.96% at a current density of 10mA/㎠
New emtting materials based on 1,5-Diaza-bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane for OLEDs applications

Derivatives of 1,5-Diaza-bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane with anthracene substituents at ortho or para position of phenyl rings were synthesized. And Organic Linght Emitting Devices were fabricated with these materials as non-doped emitting layer. The effects of substituted anthracene substituents have been compared based on both materials and solid device evaluation. Its optical and electroluminescent properties were investigated. Three compounds were used as emitting layer (EML) in OLED device: ITO / 2-TNATA (60nm) / NPB (15 nm) / synthesized materials (30 nm) / Alq3 (20 nm) / LiF / Al. The luminance efficiency of the synthesized compound at 10mA/cm2 were measured 1.56cd/A for Ph-o-21 and 0.28cd/A for Ph-o-20 respectively. Moreover, the power efficiency were measured 1.08lm/W for Ph-o-21 and 0.09lm/W for Ph-o-20. The device, prepared by using the anthracene-substituted material at ortho position, showed the better performance with CIE(x,y)=(0.28,0.45).
