      • 돼지의 能力檢定成績에 미치는 檢定開始 體重差의 效果

        본 연구는 公認 種豚 能力 檢定所에서 1984년 5월부터 1991년 11월까지 능력 검정된 Landrace종, Yorkshire종 및 Duroc종 종모돈 5,960두의 자료에 근거하여 90kg 到達, 日齡, 日當增體量, 사료효율, 등지방 두께 및 선발지수에 영향하는 檢定開始 體重差의 효과를 추정하기 위하여 실시하였다. 檢定開始 體重差는 동복자돈 수컷 2두를 한 돈방에 수용하여 능력검정할 때 동복자돈 2두간 검정개시 체중의 차이로 계산하였다. 檢定開始 體重差의 효과는 Landrace종의 경우 90kg 到達 日齡, 사료효율 및 선발지수에서 통계적 유의성이 있었으나, Yorkshire종과 Duroc종에서는 통계적 유의성이 없었다. Landrace종에서 檢定開始 體重差가 5kg이상일 경우 90kg 到達 日齡이 길어지고, 日當增體量이 낮아지며, 사료효율이 불량해지고, 등지방이 두터워지며, 선발지수가 낮아지는 경향이 있었으나, Yorkshire종과 Duroc종에서는 이러한 경향을 찾아 볼 수 없었다. The effect of the differences in the initial weight on the age at 90kg, average daily gain, feed efficiency, backfat thickness and selection index was estimated on the basis of the data from 5,960 boars performance tested at the Korea Swine Test Station from May, 1984 to November, 1991. The difference in initial weights was calculated as the difference in the initial weights between the two littermate boars housed in the same pen. The effect of the differences in the initial weights of the tested pigs was statistically significant for the age at 90kg, feed efficiency and selection index in the Landraces. However in the Yorkshires and Durocs the effects of the differences in the initial weights were significant in none of the five traits studied. When the differences in the initial weights were larger than 5kg in the Landraces, longer period was needed to reach at 90kg, feed efficiency was poor, backfat tended to be thicker and the selection index was lower. However, this tendency was not found in the Yorkshires and Durocs.

        한우의 성장형질과 도체형질에 대한 유전상관 추정

        본 연구는 농협중앙회 가축개량사업소와 한우개량단지에서 1991년도부터 1996년도까지 출생하여 사육된 1,823두의 한우 수소에 대한 자료를 이용하여 성장형질과 도체형질의 유전상관을 추정하기 위하여 실시하였으며, DFREML을 이용한 다혈질 Animal Model로 추정하였다. 12개월 체중과 일당증체량은 0.76, 12개월 체중과 체장은 0.79의 유전상관을 나타내었고, 18개월 체중과 일당증체량 및 18개월체중과 체장간의 유전상관은 각각 0.86 및 0.82로 추정되었다. 또한 냉도체중과 도체율, 배최장근단면적, 등지방두께 및 도체장간의 유전상관은 각각 0.39, 0.37, 0.44, 0.63으로 추정되었고, 등지방두께와 근내지방도는 0.36의 유전상관을 나타내었다. 냉도체중과 12개월 체중 및 18개월체중간의 유전상관은 0.71과 0.96으로 높은 정의 상관을 나타내었고, 체장간의 유전상관도 0.63과 0.75로 체중과 유사한 경향을 나타내었다. 도체율과 체중, 일당증체량, 체장, 곤폭, 및 흉위간에는 정의 유전상관을 나타냈으며, 배최장근단면적과 성장형질간의 유전상관은 -0.07∼0.32으로 낮게 추정되었고, 등지방두께와 성장형질간 유전상관은 낮게 추정되었지만 18개월령 흉위에서 높게 나타났다. 근내지방도와 18개월 흉위는 0.25의 유전상관 상관이 추정되었다. This study was carried out to estimate the genetic correlations for the carcass and growth traits of Hanwoo bulls measured at 12 and 18 months of age on the basis of the data form 1,823 heads of Hanwoo bulls raised at the Livestock Improvement Main Center from 1991 to 1998. Genetic correlations were estimated with multiple trait animal model using MTDFREML. The genetic correlations of the body weight at 12 months with average daily gain during 6∼12 months and with the body length were 0.76 and 0.79, respectively. The genetic correlations of the body weight at 18 months with average daily gain during 6∼18 months and with the body length were 0.86 and 0.82, respectively. The genetic correlations of the carcass weight with dressing percent, eye muscle area, backfat thickness and carcass length were 0.39, 0.37, 0.44 and 0.63, respectively. And estimate of 0.36 was obtained for the genetic correlation between backfat thickness and marbling score. The high and positive genetic correlations of 0.71 and 0.96 were estimated for the carcass weight with the body weights at 12 and 18 months. The genetic correlations of the carcass weight with body lengths at 12 and 18 months were 0.63 and 0.75, respectively. Positive genetic correlations were estimated for the dressing percentage with the body weight, average daily gain, body length, thurls width and chest girth. Low genetic correlations were estimated between eye muscle area and the growth traits ranging from -0.07 to 0.32. Dressing percentage was low correlated genetically with the growth traits except for the chest girth at 18 months. The genetic correlation between marbling score and chest girth at 18 months estimated was 0.25.

        In 1930s, because of increase in population a housing shortage of Kyeong-Seong had became intensified. This, housing shortage brought growth of new houses on Kyeong-seong. In 1930s, one of the most popular housing type was urban traditional housing. So This study have paid attention to the social and economic background of construction of urban traditional housing. The main dweller of urban traditional housing was the landowner who had migrated from rural communities or the owner of lease. And, because the construction costs of urban traditional housing was relatively lower than that of other housing type, the urban traditional housing was so popular.

        Effect of tungsten on the phase-change properties of Ge8Sb2Te11 Thin Films for the Phase-change device

        In this study, the electrical, optical, and structural properties of tungsten (W)-doped Ge8Sb2Te11 thin films were investigated. Previously, GeSbTe alloys were doped with various materials in an attempt to improve the thermal stability. Ge8Sb2Te11 and W-doped Ge8Sb2Te11 films with a thickness of 200 nm were fabricated by using an RF magnetron reactive co-sputtering system at room temperature on Si (p-type, 100) and glass substrate. The fabricated thin films were annealed in a furnace in the 0 - 400 C temperature range. The optical properties were analyzed using a UV-Vis-IR spectrophotometer, and by using Beer’s Law equation, the optical-energy band gap (Eop), slope B1/2, and slope 1/F were calculated. For the crystalline materials, an increase in the slope B1/2 and 1/F was observed, exhibiting a good effect on the thermal stability in the amorphous state after the phase change. The structural properties were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, and the result showed that the W-doped Ge8Sb2Te11 had a face-centered-cubic (fcc) crystalline structure increased crystallization temperature (Tc). An increase in the Tc increased the thermal stability in the amorphous state. The electrical properties were analyzed using a 4-point probe, exhibiting an increase in the sheet resistance (Rs) in the amorphous and the crystalline states indicating a reduced programming current in the memory device.

        In order to investigate the changes in sugar and organic acids of kimchi during fermentation, Chinese cabbage, radish and kimchi extracts were fermented by lactic acid bacteria and then analyzed acidity, pH, sugar and (acidic ac) of fermented samples. The major organic acids in the samples were lactic, acetic, malic and succinic acid Of these acids, lactic, acetic and citric acid were increased but malic and succinic acid were decreased during kimchi fermentation. The major sugars of the samples were fructose and glucose. The amount of sugars in these samples were decreased more rapidly when fermented at higher temperature than that of low temperature.

        비거세 한우 집단에 있어 성장형질과 도체형질에 대한 유전모수의 추정

        본 연구는 농협중앙회 가축개량사업소와 한우개량단지에서 생산된 비거세 한우 숫소 3,415두의 자료를 이용하여 성장형질과 도체형질에 대한 유전모수를 추정하기 위하여 실시하였다. 본 연구에 이용된 한우 집단은 상반기와 하반기의 두 집단으로 구분하였는데 상반기 집단은 1986년부터 1990년까지 생산된 숫소 1,592두로서 6개월에 검정개시하여 18개월에 종료하였고, 단방식 우사에서 개체관리를 하였다. 하반기 집단은 1991년부터 1996년까지 출생한 1,823두로 10개월에 검정개시하여 22개월에 종료하였고, 군사식 우사에서 사양관리 하였다. 6∼12개월과 12∼18개월 일당증체량은 상반기 집단의 경우 1.01kg과 0.77kg이였고, 하반기 집단은 0.80kg과 0.95kg으로 하반기 집단에서 보상성장이 일어난 것으로 사료된다. 12개월 및 18개월 체중의 유전력은 상반기 집단의 경우 0.37 및 0.29이었고, 하반기 집단은 0.47 및 0.33이었으며, 6∼12개월 및 12∼18개월 일당증체량의 유전력은 상반기 집단에서 0.26 및 0.11이었고, 하반기 집단은 0.33 및 0.22으로 이들 형질의 유전력은 하반기에서 높았다. 상반기 집단위 12개월령 체고, 십자부고, 곤폭 및 흉위에 대한 유전력은 각각 0.30, 0.25, 0.11 및 0.13이었으며, 하반기의 경우 각각 0.53, 0.44, 0.36 및 0.56이었다. 상반기 집단의 18개월령 체고, 십자부고, 곤폭 및 흉위의 유전력은 각각 0.40, 0.22, 0.12 및 0.21이었고, 하반기의 경우 각각 0.45, 0.42, 0.42 및 0.35이었다. 상반기 집단의 냉도체중, 도체율, 배최장근단면적, 등지방두께 및 도체장에 대한 유전력은 각각 0.11, 0.24, 0.25, 0.18 및 0.21이었고, 하반기 집단의 경우 각각 0.32, 0.52, 0.33, 0.51 및 0.58이었으며, 근내지방도의 유전력은 0.31이었다. 상·하반기간 유전상관의 추정치는 12개월 흉위, 18개월 십자부고, 도체중 및 도체율의 경우 0.8 이상이었으나 다른 형질에서의 추정치는 이보다 낮았다. Genetic parameters for growth and carcass traits were estimated on the basis of the data from 3,415 heads of Hanwoo bulls tested at Livestock Improvement Main Center. The data were divided into two groups : the first period group consisted of 1,592 heads of bulls tested in individual pens from 1986 to 1990 and the second period group consisted of 1,823 heads of bulls tested in group pens from 1991 to 1996. The testing period was from 6 to 18 months of age in the first period group and 10 to 22 months of age in the second period group. The average daily gains during 6 to 12 months and 12 to 18 months were 1.01㎏and 0.77㎏, respectively, in the first period group and 0.80㎏ and 0.95㎏ in the second period group, and the compensated growth appeared to have occurred in the second period group. The heritability of body weight at 12 months estimated was 0.37 during the first period and 0.47 during the second period. The heritability of body weight at 18 months was 0.29 during the first period and 0.33 during the second period. The heritability of average daily gain during 6~12 months estimated was 0.26 for the first period and 0.33 for the second period. The heritability of average daily gain during 12~18 months estimated was 0.11 for the first period and 0.22 the second period. The heritabilities of body weights and average daily gains estimated tended to be higher in the second period than in the first period. The heritability of body measurements at 12 months during the first period estimated was 0.30 for withers height, 0.25 for rump height, 0.11 for thurls width and 0.13 for chest girth. The heritability of body measurments at 12 months during the second period was 0.53 for withers height, 0.44 for rump height, 0.36 for thruls width and 0.56 chest girth. The heritabilities of withers height, rump height, thurls width and chest girth at 18 months of age were 0.40, 0.22, 0.12 and 0.21 during the first period and 0.45, 0.42, 0.42 and 0.35 during the second period, respectively. The heritability of carcass traits estimated during the first period was 0.11 for carcass weight, 0.24 for dressing percent, 0.25 for eye muscle area, 0.18 for backfat thickness and 0.21 for carcass length. The heritabilities of carcass weight, dressing percent, eye muscle area, backfat thickness, carcass length and marbling score during the second period estimated were 0.32, 0.52, 0.33, 0.51, 0.58 and 0.31, respectively. The genetic correlations between the first and second periods estimated were higher than 0.8 for chest girth at 12 months, rump height at 18 months, carcass weight and dressing percent, but were lower for other traits.
