Feasibility study of β-ray detection system for small leakage from reactor coolant system

Because existing reactant coolant system (RCS) leakage detection mechanisms are insensitive to small leaks, a real-time, direct detection system with a detection threshold below 0.5 gpm∙hr1 was studied. A beta-ray detection system using a silicon detector with good energy resolution for beta rays and a low gamma-ray response was proposed. The detection performance in the leakage condition was evaluated through experiments and simulations. The concentration of 16N in the coolant corresponding to a coolant leakage of 0.5 gpm was calculated using the analytic method and ORIGEN-ARP. Based on the concentration of 16N and the measurement of the silicon detector with 90Sr/90Y, the beta-ray count rate was estimated using MCNPX. To evaluate the effect of gamma rays inside the containment building, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) was calculated. To evaluate the count rate ratio, the radiation field inside the containment building was simulated using MCNPX, and response evaluation experiments were performed using beta and gamma rays on the silicon detector. The expected beta-ray count rate at 0.5 gpm leakage was 7.26 105 counts/sec, and the signal-to-background count rate ratio exceeded 88 for a transport time of 10 s, demonstrating its suitability for operation inside a reactor containment building.
CFD를 이용한 차기 상륙돌격장갑차의 유체역학적 성능 평가

The Republic of Korea Marine Corps is planning to develop a new amphibious assault vehicle which is able to operate with higher water speed than current KAAV. In order to achieve a higher water speed for hydrodynamically bulff-body vehicles, it is essential to develop drag reduction strategies. In this paper, resistance characteristics including trim angles of amphibious assault vehicles with several appendage designs are investigated using a commercial CFD code, STAR-CCM+. The computed results are compared with experimental data conducted at the towing tank with 1:4.5 scaled model and show good correlation. Comparing with the results of bare hull, 3.4 % of hydrodynamic drag and 52 % of trim angle are reduced by the application of double angled bow flap and a hydrofoil attached at the transom.
MANET 환경하에서 MIMC를 효율적으로 운용하기 위한 Overhead 감소방안 연구와 성능 분석

MANET 환경에서 가장 중요시되는 것은 여러 장비간의 신뢰성 있는 통신이다. 이를 위해 다양한 멀티 홉 라우팅 프로토콜 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 하지만 기존의 Link State Routing 기법은 현재의 MIMC 환경에서 Control Message Overhead를 증가시키는 단점 및 노드가 이동할 때 안정적이지 않은 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 Control Message Overhead를 감소시키기 위한 방안으로 OndemandHello를 사용한 기법, Broadcast Interface의 최적화를 이용한 기법을 제시한다. 또한 노드가 이동할 때 안정적인 통신을 위한 방안으로 노드의 이동성을 고려한 MPR 선정기법, 위치정보를 활용한 빠른 경로 복구기법을 제시한다. 제시한 라우팅 프로토콜과 OPNET 기반의 시뮬레이터 결과는관련 분야 연구에 비교 대상으로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. The most critical research issue in MANET environment is on supporting reliable communicationbetween various devices. Various Multi-Hop Routing Protocol studies have proceeded. However, several problems like causing instabilities when node shifts and increasing Control MessageOverhead in current MIMC environment have been found with the original Link State Routingtechnique. This essay offers a technique which is based on On-Demand Hello and the othertechnique which used Broadcast Interface of optimization as a solution to decrease Control MessageOverhead. Also it proposes Quick Route Restoration technique which is utilized by GPS andMPR Selection technique which consider mobility as a solution of stable communication when nodemoves. Those offered Routing Protocol and OPNET based simulator result will be expected to bean excellent comparison in related research fields.
전술에지시스템을 위한 네트워크 중심의 능력기반평가 모델 연구

In this paper, we propose the process model of capability based assessment for tacticaledge. Due to breakthrough of information communication technology tactical communication networksand systems have been dramatically developed for warfighters in the tactical edge environment. However, tactical edges still undergo hardships such as high delay, intermittent connectivity,and absence of limited resource. Proposed model of process for capability based assessment has a procedurefor distinguishing actors to determine capability of network centric goal as well as follows aprocedure to determine priority capability of securing after assesment of capability with defined networkcentric attributes. It satisfies network centric capability demands and provide benchmark. Alsoit is able to conjugate assessment attribute technology level with conjunction of joint task list to overcomeconstraints and establish alternatives in tactical edge environment. 본 논문에서는 전술에지시스템(Tactical Edge)을 위한 네트워크 중심(NC: Network Centric)능력기반평가(Capability Based Assessment) 모델을 제안한다. 정보통신 기술의 비약적인 진화로전술에지시스템 환경의 전술 통신네트워크와 정보시스템은 지속적으로 발전해왔다. 하지만 전술에지시스템의 환경은 간헐적인 연결성, 제한된 대역폭과 높은 지연시간의 제약사항으로 인해 여전히 심각한 도전을 직면하고 있다. 제안하는 능력기반평가 모델은 전술에지시스템의 NC 능력 목표를 결정하기 위해 전투수행주체(Actor)를 선별하고 정의된 NC 속성을 이용하여 능력을 평가한 후 능력 확보의우선순위를 결정하는 절차를 가진다.. 이를 통해 능력기반 소요기획을 위한 전술에지시스템의 환경에서 NC의 능력 요구를 충족시키고 능력요구 기준의 제시가 가능하며 합동 과제목록과 연계해서 기술적 수준의 과제로 발전시켜 능력 평가요소로 활용이 가능하다. 또한 전술에지시스템 환경의 제약사항을 극복하기 위해 정의된 능력 속성은 대안 수립 및 평가 활동에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
지능형 객체 인식 기술을 이용한 실시간 동영상 검색시스템

최근 범죄예방과 안전문제 등으로 CCTV와 같은 영상장비가 다양하게 활용되고 있다. 영상기기들은 대부분 24시 간 작동되기 때문에 경비 인력을 절감할 수 있지만, 녹화된 영상에서 특정 인물과 같은 객체를 검색하는 업무는 여전히 수동으로 이루어지고 있어, 실시간 검색이 요구되는 상황에서는 정확하고 빠른 대처가 미흡하다. 본 논문에서는 최신 딥러닝 기술과 OpenCV 라이브러리를 이용하여 사용자의 의해 입력된 의상정보를 바탕으로 특정인물을 영상에서 빠르 게 검색하고, 그 결과를 실시간으로 전송하는 기술을 제안한다. 개발된 시스템은 YOLO 라이브러리를 이용하여 실시간 으로 인물객체를 탐지한 후, 딥러닝 기술을 이용하여 인간의 의상을 상/하의로 구분하고 OpenCV 라이브러리를 통해 색을 검출하여 특정 인물객체를 자동으로 인식하도록 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 시스템은 특정 의상을 갖춘 인물 객체를 정확하고 빠르게 인식할 뿐만 아니라 기타 객체 인식에도 활용할 수 있는 확장성을 갖추고 있어 다양한 용도의 영상감시시스템에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Recently, video-taping equipment such as CCTV have been seeing more use for crime prevention and general safety concerns. Since these video-taping equipment operates all throughout the day, the need for security personnel is lessened, and naturally costs incurred from managing such manpower should also decrease. However, technology currently used predominantly lacks self-sufficiency when given the task of searching for a specific object in the recorded video such as a person, and has to be done manually; current security-based video equipment is insufficient in an environment where real-time information retrieval is required. In this paper, we propose a technology that uses the latest deep-learning technology and OpenCV library to quickly search for a specific person in a video; the search is based on the clothing information that is inputted by the user and transmits the result in real time. We implemented our system to automatically recognize specific human objects in real time by using the YOLO library, whilst deep learning technology is used to classify human clothes into top/bottom clothes. Colors are also detected through the OpenCV library which are then all combined to identify the requested object. The system presented in this paper not only accurately and quickly recognizes a person object with a specific clothing, but also has a potential extensibility that can be used for other types of object recognition in a video surveillance system for various purposes.
Recent Developments in the Endoscopic Treatment of Patients with Peptic Ulcer Bleeding

Peptic ulcer bleeding is an internal medical emergency. Endoscopic hemostasis has been shown to improve the survival rate of patients with peptic ulcer bleeding. Although the established hemostatic modalities, including injection, thermal therapy, and mechanical therapy, are effective in controlling peptic ulcer bleeding, hemostasis can be difficult to achieve in some cases. As a result, recent, new endoscopic hemostatic modalities, including over-the-scope clips, topical hemostatic sprays, and endoscopic ultrasonography-guided angiotherapy, have been developed.
