Due to the rugged energy function of the original Hopfield networks, the output is usually one local minimum in the energy function. This paper an analysis on the location of local minima in Hopfield networks and discribes modified network architecture to eliminate local minima. This modified Hopfield networks has been successfully applied to the construction of analog-to-digital converter with optimal solutions. Experimental results on the voltage transfer characteristics of data converter is presented.

Detailed model of longitudinal dynamics of a typical automobile is developed. A nonlinear controller is designed for speed control of the automobile. This paper discribes the first step of a vehicle model design which designs a engine model. The design of a vehicle engine designs Matlab Simulink, and control which is compared describes characteristics be using Fuzzy and PID.
GMDP 신경망 알고리즘과 PID 제어기를 이용한 효율적인 PLANT 제어에 관한 연구

Adapative control theory or parameter tuning of PID controller is mainly limited in linear systems. But in this paper, using a nonlinear mapping capability of NNS, we derive a realtime tuning method of PID controller based on a Back-Propagation method of single GMDP NN. A variety of neural models, especially higher-order networks, are known to computationlly powerful for complex application. While they have advantages over traditional multilayered perceptrons, the uniformity in their network structures, learning algorithms and loop time creates practical problems. Thus this paper evaluates the capability between MLP and GMDP for performing velocity control. Backpropagation is applied to the GMDP as learning rule.

This paper deals with the temperature control of High-Frequency Induction Heating System using a Neuro-Fuzzy controller. We construct a membership function from of fuzzy controller according to the change of temperature for a proper control signal. The defuzzification is replaced by MLP using function approximation, and a data for an learning of defuzzification is obtained by using a general inferance method. We implemented a real-time experiment evaluating the performance of a neuro-fuzzy controller which is designed in this paper.

Acute mediastinitis is almost always secondary to some other condition, and most cases are due to esophageal perforation. Although acute mediastinitis from odontogenic infection is extremely rare in the era antibiotic drugs, some more fulminant odontogenic infections can produce complications including airway obstruction, necrotizing fascitis and extension of the infection to thorax. Irrespective of the changing incidence of etiologic factors, unless the pathophysiology of acute mediastinitis and its causes are understood and the conditions promptly recognized and properly treated, the result may be prolonged illness and even death. We experienced a case of odontogenic infection followed by acute mediastinitis and present review of literature.

Chronic neutrophilic leukemia is a very rare myeloproliferative disorder which is characterized by severe sustained mature neutrophilic leukocytosis in peripheral blood (PB), hepatosplenomegaly, elevated leukocyte alkaline phosphatase, serum uric acid. serun viatmin B 12 and the bleeding tendency despite normal platelet count and coagulation time, absence of philadelphia chromosome, and the absence of fever or underlying infection or disease sufficient to mimic a leukemoid reaction. We have experienced a 34-years-old male patient with atypical chronic neutrophilic leukemia. On admission, the leukocyte count was 56,860/uL. severe neutrophic leukocytosis with 76% neutrophils and rare immature forms on PB smear. Many neutrophils had toxic granules, and vacuoloes. Leukocyte alkaline phosphatase score was decreased. The cytogenetic study showed Philadelphia chromosome negative with normal karyotype.

This paper researched the scale of subjective speech quality measurement over VoIP(Voice over IP) service which is a component of broadband networks. Though objective parameters of multimedia services like PSNR or Jitter can be easily measured and defined. those factors are not easily met the users' perceptual recognition. It is suggested that the scale of speech quality measurement through the subjective measurement is more adequate for end-to-end speech quality which is composed of sender-side quality. transmission quality. receiver-side quality. which provides the degree of correctness in speakers' representation. the degree of impairment caused by various factors. and the degree of recognition processed speech. respectively. It's also examined by the proposed method and verified by it's availability.

This study was based on a series of 369 patients with Oral and Maxillofacial injuries treated at Kumi Hospital, College of Medicine, Soon-Chun-Hyang University from Jan. 1992 to Dec. 1994. The results obtained were as follows : 1. The number of male patient was 310 and that of female was 59, leading to 5.3 : 1 of male-female ratio, and the 3rd decade was the highest age group in incidence. 2. Weekly incidence was the highest in Sun. & Sat. and monthly incidence was the highest in Nov. & Oct. 3. Causes as follows : traffic accident 41.9%, slip& fall down 25.4%, human trouble 16.5%, industrial accident 7.5%, sports 6.7%, etc. 4. Site distribution as follows : mandible fracture 32.3%, maxilla fracture 4.8%, zygoma fracture 21.4%, nasal bone fracture 34.1%, orbital & ethmoidal fracture 4.6%. 5. The most common site of mandible was symphysis & angle, and the ratio of OR & CR was 1.3 : 1. 6. The most common site of maxilla was Le Fort 1, 2, and the ratio of OR & CR was 3 : 1. 7. The most common site of zygoma was body, the ratio of OR & CR was 3.3 : 1. 8. The mean period of intermaxillary fixation was 4.33weeks. 9. Combined injury in facial fracture was 35.8% : The facial fracture were most frequently combind with head & neck(47.0%), upper extremities and abdomen(9.8%). 10. The mean elapsed time from injury to hospital was 1.9days, and that to operation was 5.1days. 11. The mean number of combined teeth injury was 0.6, and percent of combined soft tissue injury of face was 51.3%. 12. Post-operative complication occurred in 4 out of 323 cases. all of that was infection.
생쥐 위장관의 Interstitial cells of Cajal(ICC)에 대한 면역조직화학적 연구

Background and Objectives : Interstitial cells of Cajal(ICC) are the pacemakers in gastrointestinal tract that modulates gastrointestinal motiliey and these cells also transmit neural input from enteric nerves to smooth muscles. Recent work on tissues from patients with motility disorders that suggest that loss or defect in ICC could be related to pathophysiology in human and animal models. Immunolabelling of ICC in intestinal wall is recently developed by using specific marker, anti-c-kit antibody. Immunohistochemistry was done for ICC network in attempt to provide a morphological basis for the mechanism regulating gastrointestinal motility Methods : Cryosection was done, and whole-mount preparations of mouse stomach, gastrointestinal tract were immunolabelled using the anti-c-Kit. Immunolabelled ICC networks were observed under a confocal laser scanning microscopy. Results : According to three dimensional reconstruction study, we found that the c-Kit-positive celluar networks were widely distributed in the gastrointestinal muscle (1) circular muscle layer(IC-IM), (2) myenteric plexus(IC-MY), (3) deep muscular plexus(IC-DMP) in ileum, (4) submucosal plexus(IC-SMP) and longitudinal muscle layer(IC-LM) in colon. Conclusion : The characteristic profiles of ICC celluar networks provide a morphological basis upon the mechanism regulating gastrointestinal motility. Additional studies for the enteric nerves-ICC interaction are need to evaluate the detailed roles of Icc in gastrointestinal tract.
