진행성 비소세포폐암에 대한 2차 화학요법으로 paclitaxel과 cisplatin의 제 2상 임상연구

gemcitabine과 carboplatin으로 치료받은 경력이 있는 진행성 비소세포폐암 환자 25명을 대상으로 2차 화학요법으로 paclitaxel과 cisplatin을 사용하여 다음과 같은 결과를 확인하였다. 전체 25명 중 5명에서 부분반응이 관찰되었으며, 반응군의 반응지속기간은 2~11개월로 중앙값 4.3개월이었다. 전체 환자의 무진행생존기간은 0~11개월로 중앙값 3.3개월이었으며, 생존기간은 1.3~39개월로 중앙값 7.4개월이었다. 전체 83회의 화학요법 중 WHO 3도의 혈소판감소증이 1회에서만 관찰되었으며, 비혈액학적 부작용도 감내할 만 하였다. 이상의 결과, paclitaxel과 cisplatin 복합화학요법은 진행성 비소세포폐암 환자에서 2차 요법으로 사용하였을 때 부작용이 적으며 효과적인 치료법의 하나로 판단된다. Background: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of paclitaxel and cisplatin against advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) as a second-line chemotherapy. Subjects and Methods: Twenty-five patients were enrolled. The patients received 200 mg/㎡ paclitaxel as a 3-hour intravenous infusion and 60 mg/㎡ cisplatin as 30-minute intravenous infusion with vigorous hydration on day 1 every 28 days. The response was assessed every 2 cycles. Results: All 25 patients were assessed for their response and toxicity. Partial responses were observed in 5 patients. The overall response rate was 20%(95% confidence interval, 4%~36%) and the median response duration was 4.5(range, 2-11) months. The median time to progression was 3.3(range, 0-14) months. The median overall survival of all patients was 7.4(range, 1.3-39) months. The hematologic toxicities were minor and easily controlled. Conclusion: The combination chemotherapy of paclitaxel and cisplatin as a second-line treatment has a moderate efficacy with an acceptable toxicity in patients with advanced NSCLC.
Weed increase by soil-disturbing in soybean planting system with cover crop and conservation tillage

Environment-friendly soybean planting system has been being required in the upland field with high slope and heavy rain in summer season. Changes of weed amount and soybean yield by rye cover crop and conservation tillage were investigated. Soil-disturbing at conservation tillage before soybean planting increased numbers and dry weights of weeds germinated in late spring such as Echinochloa crusgalli P. Beauv (barnyardgrass) and Portulaca oleracea L. (common purslane) regardless of herbicide spray even though the weed, Chenopodium ficifolium Smith germinated before soil-disturbing were higher at non-disturbing soil. Higher weed amounts at plots of strip-tillage (30cm rototilling) compared to minimum tillage (10cm rototilling) was mainly due to the weed increase by soil-disturbing. Soybean yields at plots with rye cover crop, particularly early maturity rye cover crop, were lower than those at plots without rye cover crop, which was due to lower soybean seedling stand by heavy rye residue. More researches are required for the higher soybean yield at the minimum tillage with rye cover crop in which weed amounts were low.

The Berezin transform is the analogue of the Poisson transform in the Bergman spaces. Dyakonov characterize the holomorphic weighted Lipschitz function in the unit disk in terms of the Possion integral. In this paper, we characterize the harmonic weighted Lispchitz function in terms of the Berezin transform instead of the Poisson integral.
인삼(人蔘)이 허혈성 중추신경 손상으로 발현 증가된 CD81 및 GFAP에 미치는 영향

Objectives: Gliosis disturbs recovery of damaged astrocytes following central nervous system(CNS) injury. Gliosis relates to up-regulation of CD81 and GFAP. In glial cells at injured CNS, the expression of CD81 and GFAP is increased. It is possible that when the gliosis formation is suppressed, regeneration of axons can occur. According to the recent study, the treatment with anti CD81 antibodies enhanced functional recovery in rats with spinal injury. So, the author studies the effect of water extract of Radix Ginseng on regulation of CD81 and GFAP with CNS injury. Methods: In the cell study, hypoxic damage was induced by CoCl2. And according to Longa et al, cerebral ischemia was made by middle cerebral artery occlusion in the rat. Cross sections of rat brain were examined under microscope. MTT analysis was performed to examine cell viability, cell based ELISA, Western Blot and PCR were used to detect the expression of CD81 and GFAP. Results: The following results were obtained. 1. We found that CD81 and GFAP were decreased in hypoxic injured cells following Radix Ginseng administration. 2. We injected the extract of Radix Ginseng to the middle cerebral artery occlusion in rats, and the immunohistochemistry analysis showed that CD81 and GFAP were decreased. Conclusions: These results show that the extract of Radix Ginseng could suppress the gliosis formation and prevent cell death, by controlling the expression of CD81 and GFAP. Therefore, Radix Ginseng could be a useful to regenerate CNS injury.
Effect of Hericium Gold? on an Alcoholic Fatty Liver

The improving efficacies of Hericium Gold® containing fermented extract of Hericium erinaceum on an alcoholic fatty liver investigated using alcohol plus a high-fat diet-induced steatosis model. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were orally administered with 6 ㎖/㎏ (15 ㎖/㎏ as 40% in water) of ethanol for 4 weeks, under simultaneous feeding of a high-fat diet containing 3% corn oil, 0.5% cholesterol and 0.1% cholic acid. Hericium Gold® (33, 100 or 300 ㎎/㎏) or its vehicle (water, 1 ㎖/㎏) was orally treated 30 min prior to ethanol administration everyday. The combinational treatment of ethanol and a high-fat diet slightly reduced feed consumption, leading to lowered body weight gain, and enhanced blood cholesterol and low-density lipoproteins (LDL) levels. Ethanol plus a high-fat diet induced hepatic congestion and steatosis, resulting in the increases in blood alanine transaminase (ALT) activity and hepatic lesions. Although a high dose (300 ㎎/㎏) of Hericium Gold® further suppressed feed consumption and body weight gain of Ethanol plus a high-fat diet-treated rats, it attenuated not only the increases in blood cholesterol, LDL, ALT and aspartate transaminase (AST) levels, but also hepatic congestion and hepatic lesions including lipid deposition. Taken together, the results suggest that Hericium Gold® possesses hepatoprotective activity against exposure to alcohol and dietary fats, and that could be a candidate for the improvement of alcoholic liver disorders.
