The Influence of Scientific and Technological Progress on the Development of Sports in China

Scientific and technological progress promotes the rapid development of productive forces and the progress of human civilization. In the meantime, the progress of science and technology has also created favorable conditions for the development of sports along with the socialization and internationalization of sports. This paper analyzes the positive influence of scientific and technological progress on the development of sports in China by using the method of literature and investigation. At the same time, this paper probes into the influence of scientific and technological progress on the development of sports objectively from such aspects as the weakening of sports subject caused by excessive dependence on science and technology and stimulant being the product of scientific and technological progress.
고속 MPEG-2-H.264/AVC 변환부호화를 위한 화면내 MB 예측 모드 결정 기법

본 논문에서는 MPEG-2-H.264/AVC 변환 부호기에서 병목현상을 야기하는 H.264/AVC 부분의 화면내 부호기의 연산량을 감축하는 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-2 복호기에서 획득한 DCT 계수와 영상의 방향성, H.264/AVC 화면내 부호기의 Intra16x16 및 Intra4x4 모드들 간의 상관관계 및 휘도와 색차 신호간의 경계(edge) 특성의 상관성을 활용하여 모드 선정시에 연산량을 감축하는 기법을 제안한다. 모의 실험을 통해 제안 방식이 기존에 널리 사용되는 결합형 변환 부호기에 비해 최대 약 70%의 연산량을 감축할 수 있음을 보였고, 대표적인 연산량 감축 기법인 [5]의 기법에 비해 최대 40%의 연산량을 감축할 수 있음을 보였다. Since the high quality digital TV systems are broadly deployed in the market, the digital video contents will be edited and distributed in MPEG-2 MP@HL format. Due to its impressive coding efficiency, the H.264/AVC codec has rapidly replaced the MPEG-4 SP codec for mobile digital video terminal with low quality. For the broad distribution of digitial video contents produced in MPEG-2 format, the MPEG-2 to H.264/AVC transcoding is highly necessary nowadays. In this paper, we propose a fast intra MB prediction mode decision method to reduce the computational complexity in the transcoding, which is the main bottleneck in the transcoders. The proposed method is based on the several relationships such as DCT coefficients and edge orientation, correlation between prediction directions in the Intra16x16 and Intra4x4 modes, correlation between edge-orientations of luminance and chrominance components. The simulation results show that the proposed method can reduce the computational complexity upto 70% and 40%, compared with the cascaded transcoder and the well-known fast intraframe transc oder, respectively.
Hybrid No-Reference Video Quality Assessment Focusing on Codec Effects

Currently, the development of multimedia communication has progressed so rapidly that the video program service has become a requirement for ordinary customers. The quality of experience (QoE) for the visual signal is of the fundamental importance for numerous image and video processing applications, where the goal of video quality assessment (VQA) is to automatically measure the quality of the visual signal in agreement with the human judgment of the video quality. Considering the codec effect to the video quality, in this paper an efficient non-reference (NR) VQA algorithm is proposed which estimates the video quality (VQ) only by utilizing the distorted video signal at the destination. The VQA feature vectors (FVs) which have high relationships with the subjective quality of the distorted video are investigated, and a hybrid NR VQA (HNRVQA) function is established by considering the multiple FVs. The simulation results, testing on the SDTV programming provided by VCEG Phase I, show that the proposed algorithm can represent the VQ accurately, and it can be used to replace the subjective VQA to measure the quality of the video signal automatically at the destinations.
Low complexity intra prediction algorithm for MPEG-2 to H.264/AVC transcoder

<P>Transcoding MPEG-2 video into H.264/AVC format is highly necessary for the broad distribution of digital video contents to mobile terminals. Since H.264/AVC achieves great coding efficiency by employing computationally demanding algorithms, the computational complexity of the transcoder is one of technically challenging issues. The empirical results show that DCT energy trend in the decoded MB of MPEG-2 bitstream has strong correlation with the Intra prediction modes of H.264/AVC. Based on the relationship, the mode skipping rule of intra prediction mode decision in the H.264/AVC encoder part of the transcoder is proposed in this paper. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve on average 72.36% reduction in computational complexity, compared with that of the conventional transcoder.</P>

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) activity weremeasured in ‘Fuji’ apples with different susceptibilities to the development of superficial scald during storage at 0and 20°C. Both scald incidence and severity increased gradually in the cold and the symptoms became apparent inthe fruits with an early, middle, and late harvest after 12, 15, and 21 weeks storage, respectively. Early harvestfruits had the highest scald incidence and severity as well as H2O2 and MDA contents, while late harvest had thelowest. The H2O2 and MDA levels increased, while PPO activity remained constant during storage at 0°C. All fruitsshowed a rapid increase in scald incidence and severity after warming, especially at the first 4 days, when H2O2 andMDA levels and PPO activities also increased. The H2O2 and MDA levels in scald-free tissues in late harvest fruitswere lower initially but became higher in the scald tissues after warming for 4 days. The PPO activities were equalin both tissues. These results indicated that mature fruits were relatively resistant to scald, and that scald symptomdevelopment was highly dependent on the accumulations of H2O2 and MDA during cold storage, but PPO activitywas less important.
A Temporal Error Concealment based on Motion Vector Recovery for H.264/AVC

In this paper, a new temporal error concealment method for the new coding standard H.264/AVC is presented, which uses the high correlation between the motion vectors of neighboring blocks. By using the motion vector of neighboring MB of the lost MB, the MV of the lost MB are recovered. It is shown that under FMO coding method of H.264/AVC, the proposed method increases PSNR gain up to 2.85dB compared to build-in algorithm in the H.264/AVC test model and 2.59dB compared to Lagrange interpolation.
