      • 고추 역병 저항성 재료의 특성평가와 종자 증식

        역병 저항성 재료로 도입하여 유지하고 있는 PI123469, PI201234, PI201232, AC2258 (=Line 29), CM334, KC268, KC358, KC820, KC821, KC822, KC823 (Line 29 = AC2258), KC462, KC463, KC464 혹은 이들 유전자원에서 선발한 계통들의 역병에 대한 저항성 검정, 원예적 특성 조사 및 종자 증식을 실시하였다. PI123469, PI201234, PI201232, AC2258, KC823 에서 선발된 계통들이 가장 저항성이 강한 것으로 나타났다. 동일한 유전자원에서 선발한 계통간에도 저항성 수준에서 현저한 차이가 관찰되는 경우가 있었으며, 이러한 경우는 주로 유지 증식과정에 자연교잡이 일어난 결과로 추정되었다. 따라서 순도 높은 저항성 재료를 얻기 위해서는 봉지를 씌워 자식종자를 채종하는 것이 가장 안전하며, 다음으로는 계통 망실 혹은 망상을 이용하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 판단되었다. Resistance to Phytophthora capsici and horticultural characteristics of selections from the resistance sources such as PI123469, PI201234, PI201232, AC2258 (=Line 29), CM334, KC268, KC358, KC820, KC821, KC822, KC823 (Line 29), KC462, KC463, KC464 were evaluated and recorded in the process of seed increase. Selections of PI123469, PI201234, PI201232, AC2258, KC823 (Line 29 = AC2258) of them showed the highest level of resistance. A considerable difference in the level of resistance was observed between lines selected from the same sources. The variation between selections derived from the same source was thought to ve attributable to natural cross-pollination that may have occurred during the seed increase. Therefore, securing self-pollinated seed by wrapping the flower buds before anthesis would be necessary to obtain genetivally pure resistant lines. The next alternative would be to increase the seed in small net houses for single line or field cage.

      • 엽권미생물을 이용한 고추탄저병(Colletotrichum dematium)의 생물학적 방제

        고추탄저병 (Colletotrichum dematium)에 대한 생물학적 방제 능력을 가지는 엽권미생물을 선발하기 위하여 38과 87종의 약용식물로부터 243균주의 세균과 51균주의 사상균 그리고 30균주의 효모를 분리하여 이들에 대하여 항진균활성검정을 in vitro 및 in vivo에서 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 분리된 엽권미생물중에서 PDA배지 대치배양에서 15mm이상의 생육저지대를 형성하는 4개의 엽권미생물이 선발되었다. 2) 선발된 4개의 세균균주 KB6, KB12, KB13 및 KBl4의 PDB 배양여액 중에서 KB12 균주가 균사생장 억제율이 가장 높았다. 3) 푸른고추에서는 KB12 간주의 액체배양 여액이 가장 방제효과가 컸고, 붉은고추에서는 모든 균주에서 방제효과가 떨어졌다. 4) 푸른고추에서는 KB12 균주의 cell처리가 가장 방제 효과가 컸고, 붉은고추에서는 모든 균주에서 방제 효과가 크게 나타났다. 5) 선발된 4개의 세균균주들은 모두 Bacillus subtilis로 동정되었다. For the selection of biocontol agents against red-pepper anthracnose (Colletotrichum dematium) 243 isolates of bacteria, 51 of fungi and 30 of yeasts were obtained from phyllospere of medicinal plants. Of isolated microorganisms, four bacterial isolates, KB6, KB12, KB13 and KB14 were highly antagonistic to C. dematium than the others in dual culture test on potato dextrose agar(PDA). Among four bacterial isolates, culture filtrate of the isolate KB12 showed the highest inhibition to C. dematium on PDA. Culture filtrate of the isolate KB12 showed high control effect on the green fruits, but the control activity of the all isolates was not observed on the red fruits. In the living bacterial cell test, the isolate KB12 showed the highest control effect C. dematium on the green fruits. And all the isolates showed control effect to the pathogen on the red fruits. In the biochemical test, all the active isolates were identified as Bacillus subtilis.

        췌십이지장절제술 후 발생한 지속적인 구토증과 Wernicke 뇌병증

        Wernicke encephalopathy is an acute neurologic disorder attributable to thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency. We report the case of a 61-year-old female patient who presented Wernicke encephalopathy after surgery for pancreatic head cancer. From the ninth postoperative day, she had suffered from nausea and vomiting and had difficulties ingesting food, she was given total parenteral nutrition (TPN), but lacked adequate vitamin (thiamine) supplementation. After 28 days, she developed ataxia, ophthalmoplegia, and mental confusion. The magnetic resonance image showed pathologic changes in the medial thalamus,periaqueductal gray matter, medulla and mamillary bodies. The blood level of thiamine was very low. After intravenous and oral supplementation of thiamine (200 mg/day), consciousness was soon normalized and neurologic symptoms have gradually been improving. Nausea and vomiting disappeared after administration of a low dose of mirtazapine (7.5 mg/day). We emphasize the importance of thiamine supplementation to the patients who suffer from vomiting which hinders them from taking food and who require prolonged TPN.

        백혈병환자에서 Liposomal Amphotericin B로 치료된 파종성 Fusarium 감염 1예

        Fusarium spp.는 사람에서 드물게 각막염, 조갑진균증, 상처나 화상부위감염 등을 유발하는 것으로 알려져 있으나 최근에는 면역저하자에서 기회감염의 원인균으로 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 면역저하자에서 파종성 감염이 있는 경우에 예후는 치명적이나, 증례가 많지 않고 진단방법이 제한되어 있어 조기 진단과 신속한 치료가 쉽지 않다. 그러나 특징적으로 피부병변의 동반이 흔하여 면역저하자에서는 피부 병변의 면밀한 관찰과 함께 Fusarium 감염을 조기에 의심하여 피부생검이나 배양을 하는 것이 진단에 도움이 되리라 생각된다. 파종성 Fusarium 감염의 치료로는 감염 부위의 국소적 외과적 절제와 전신적 항진균제의 사용이 필요하고 현재까지는 amphotericin B가 비교적 효율적인 항진균제로 알려져 있으나 면역저하자에서 이에 반응을 하지 않는 경우가 많다. 저자들은 급성골수성백혈병 환자에서 관해유도화학요법 시행 후 호중구감소상태에서 피부병변과 폐침윤이 발견되었고 피부의 중심부 궤양을 동반한 구진성 병변에서 배양검사를 통해 파종성 Fusarium 감염을 진단하였으며 liposomal amphotericin B (AmBisome )를 사용하여 성공적으로 치료한 예를 경험하여 보고하는 바이다. Fusarium spp., basically a superficial pathogen, is a newly emerging fungal pathogen of opportunistic infections in immunocompromised patients. At present, although Fusarium spp. are relatively resistant to amphotericin B, the combination of amphotericin B and surgical debridement appear to be optimal treatment for disseminated infection. Recently we experienced a 32-year-old neutropenic patient after induction chemotherapy for acute myelocytic leukemia presented with skin lesions and infiltrations in both lungs. We diagnosed with disseminated fusariosis by skin culture and successfully treated the patient with liposomal amphotericin B. We emphasize a high index of suspicion for skin lesions especially in immunocopromised patients.

      • Capsicum chinense, 재래종 및 저항성 고추 유전자원에서 역병 저항성 계통 선발

        2000년도에 검정에서 역병에 살아남은 개체들로부터 채종하여 육성한 Capsicum chinense 31계통에 대하여 역병 저항성을 검정한 결과 고도의 저항성을 나타내는 것은 발견되지 않았다. 2001년도의 검정에서 역병에 살아남은 개체로부터 채종한 재래종 26계통에 대하여 다시 역병 저항성 검정을 실시한 결과 KC180, KC230, KC195, KC194에서 다수의 개체가 살아남아 저항성을 나타내었다. 그러나 KC180과 KC230은 각각 AC2258과 CM334와 혼종된 것으로 관찰되었다. KC195와 KC194는 재래종의 형질을 유지하고 있는 것으로 관찰되었다. CM334의 보존 증식과정에 자연교잡이 일어난 것으로 보여 이의 순도향상을 위하여 채종년도별로 시료를 꺼내어 역병저항성 검정을 실시한 결과 가장 오래된 1992년도 채종종자에서부터 약간의 이형주가 관찰도기 시작하여 1995년부터 2001년도까지 시간이 경과함에 따라 많이 변형되어 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 1992년도 종자에서 이형주를 제거하고 원형의 개체로부터 자식종자를 대량으로 채종하였다. 함께 공시한 AC2258은 순수한 것으로 확인되었다. 1995년도 채종 CM334 종자에서는 비록 혼종은 되었으나 측지발생이 적은 개체들이 발견되어 이들을 개체 선발하여 역병에 저항성이며 측지발생이 적은 계통으로 육성하고 있다. A total of 31 c. chinense lines selected from 2000 screening were tested again for resistance to P. capsici but resistance was not found in the lines. A total of 26 selections from Korean land races tested 2001 spring were tested again for resistance to P. capsici. KC180, KC230, KC195 and KC194 showed moderate resistance to P. capsici. However, it was apparent on the basis of hortivultural characteristics that KC180 and KC230 had been naturally crossed with AC2258 and CM334, respectively. CM334 and AC2248 seed lots that were increased in different years were taken out and tested for resistance to improve their genetic purity because the resistant genetic resources have been showing some off-types in the population. Off-types began to be found in 1992 seed lots and the proportion and degree of the offs was increasing with time up to 2001. Plants true to the type in 1992 seed lots were selected and their inbred seeds were mass produced in a net cage in the greenhouse. AC2258 included in the experiment number of lateral branching at cotyledonary axil, although they were off from the original in the experiment together was uniform. In 1995 seed lost of CM334, plants with resistance to P. capsici and low or no number of lateral branching at cotyledonary axil, although they were off from the original CM334, were found and selection was applied to breed lines fixed in the characters.

        Laparoscopic radical distal pancreatosplenectomy with celiac axis excision following neoadjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced pancreatic cancer

        A recent successful prospective randomized control study comparing open distal pancreatectomy with laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy (LDP) has shown that LDP is a safe and effective surgical modality in treating left-sided pancreatic pathological conditions requiring surgical extirpation. With the accumulating surgical experiences and improved surgical techniques, we recently reported several cases of successful LDP in advanced pancreatic cancer following neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Herein, we report a case of LDP with celiac axis resection (LDP-CAR) in locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC) following neoadjuvant chemotherapy. A 58-yearold female with LAPC was referred to our institution. Computed tomography (CT) findings revealed a 24-mm mass in the pancreatic body that showed celiac artery (CA), common hepatic artery abutment. There was no abutment with superior mesenteric artery, superior mesenteric vein, and portal vein. From these findings, Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (FORFIRINOX) was performed biweekly. After 8 cycles of chemotherapy, the tumor size was slightly decreased (24 mm to 16 mm), but still abutting to CA. After 14 cycles of chemotherapy, CT revealed the same tumor size (16 mm) still abutting to CA. LDP-CAR was performed. Intraoperative ultrasonography gastric perfusion and hepatic perfusion were confirmed using indocyanine green. The patient recovered without complications and was discharged from the hospital nine days after the surgery.

      • Isolation and structure elucidation of sageretizanin, novel flavonoid glycoside from the fruit of Sageretia theezans Brongn (Rhamnaceae)

        Previous phytochemical and pharmacological studies of the fruit of Sageretia theezans (Rhamnaceae) led to the isolation of a small number of anthocyanins and it having antioxidant activity. However, to date, no more study has been carried out to investigate the secondary metabolites from the fruit of S. theezans. In this phytochemical research of S. theezans fruit led to the isolation of a new flavone glycoside, sageretizanin (1) together with four quercetin derivatives (2-5), five kaempferol derivatives (6-10), two myricetin derivatives (11 and 12), and four flavanones (13-16). The structures of the isolated compounds were identified on the basis of their NMR spectroscopic (1H, 13C, DEPT, COSY, HSQC, HMBC, and ESI-MS) data and comparison with literature data. To the best of our knowledge, compounds 7 and 13-16 were obtained from the genus Sageretia for the first time. Moreover, compounds 7 and 13 has not been reported in the family of Rhamnaceae. Among them, (-)-aromadendrin-7-O-glucoside (7) was isolated for the second time from natural sources.

        RESEARCH ARTICLES : Collection and Evaluation of Genetic Variation of Perilla Accessions in the Jeju Island

        In order to understand the genetic variation of the cultivated and weedy types of Perilla crop in Jeju Island of Korea, this study has conducted a field expedition for collecting Perilla germplasm in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Cultivated Perilla crop was almost not cultivated throughout the island, whereas weedy types of both varieties (var.) of frutescens and crispa were often found in roadsides, around a creek, in wastelands, and in areas around a farmer’s fields. The total number of collection was 94 accessions. The seed colors of cultivated var. frutescens were white and brown, while the weedy var. frutescens were gray, brown, and dark brown. The weedy var. crispa exhibited gray and dark brown seed colors. The most accessions of cultivated var. frutescens and weedy types of var. frutescens and var. crispa revealed hard seeds, except one accession of cultivated var. frutescens which had soft seeds. A total of 17 simple sequence repeat loci showed polymorphism, producing a total of 149 alleles among the 85 Perilla accessions collected from Jeju Island. The average gene diversity for accessions of cultivated var. frutescens, weedy var. frutescens, and weedy var. crispa respectively showed 0.346, 0.649, and 0.463. The accessions of weedy types of var. frutescens and var. crispa comparatively exhibited higher genetic diversity than those of cultivated var. frutescens. The accessions collected would be useful for preserving the genetic diversity of this crop for further breeding programs of the Perilla crop in Korea.

        중소병원 임상간호사의 대인관계문제, 자기효능감이 행복감에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 중소병원 임상간호사들의 대인관계 문제, 자기효능감이 행복감에 미치는 영향을 확인하 고, 임상간호사들의 대인관계 문제와 자기효능감을 향상시켜 행복감을 증진시키기 위한 대인관계 대처 프로그램, 및 자기효능감, 행복감 향상을 위한 중재전략을 마련하는데 기초자료로 활용하고자 시도되었다. 본 연구는 중소병원 간호사 154명을 대상으로 한 서술적 상관관계 연구이다. 연구결과 대인관계문제의 경우 미혼, 자녀가 없는 경우에 높았고, 자기효능감의 경우 40대이상, 대학원 이상의 학력, 자녀 3명 이상, 근무경력 20년 이상, 직위는 선임간호사 이상에서 높았다. 대인관계문제와 자기효능감은 유의한 음의 상관관계가 있었으며(.r=-.58, p<.001), 대인관계문제와 행복감은 유의한 음의 상관관계가 있었다(.r=-.50, p<.001), 자기효능감과 행복감은 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며(r=.61, p<.001), 간호사의 행복감에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것은 자기효능감으로 나타났다(β=.43, p=<.001). 본 연구결과를 토대로 간호사의 행복감을 증진시키기 위해 자기효능감을 높일 수 있는 근무여건과 프로그램들을 제공할 필요가 있다. The purpose of this study was to confirm the effect of interpersonal problems and self-efficacy on happiness of clinical nurses in small and medium-sized hospitals. This study attempted to use it as basic data to prepare an interpersonal coping program to improve happiness by improving interpersonal problems and self-efficacy of clinical nurses, and an intervention strategy to improve self-efficacy and happiness. This study is a descriptive correlation study of 154 nurses in small and medium-sized hospitals. The results showed that the respondents who were unmarried and who had no child scored higher for interpersonal problems; In the case of, self-efficacy those who were in their forties or older, who are graduate school alumni or at higher education levels, who had ≥3 children, who had ≥20 years of career, and who were at the senior nurse's position or higher scored higher for self-efficacy. The interpersonal problems were significantly negatively correlated with self-efficacy (r=-.58, p<.001); the interpersonal problems were significantly negatively correlated with happiness (r=-.50, p<.001); self-efficacy was significantly positively correlated with happiness (r=.61, p<.001); and self-efficacy had the most substantial impact on happiness among nurses (β=.43, p=<.001). Based on these results, it is necessary to provide working conditions and programs that can help improve nurses' self-efficacy.
