We have studied the Mo¨ssbauer parameters for Fe^(3+) ion in the quenched glass and heat treated glass and heat treated glasses. The Mo¨ssbauer spectra of the quenched glass were investigated at various temperatures from 60K to 300K. Using the center shift and kinetic temperature, the Debye and einstein temperatures were calculated. The quenched glass was heat-treated at various temperatures from 530℃ to 710℃ for five hours. Both the isomer shit and quadrupole splitting parameters decreased near 590℃. And regardless of heat treatment, the Fe^(3+) ion was predominantly octahedrally coordinated.
석탄폐석의 흡착능 및 흡착제로의 활용방안에 관한 기초연구

본 연구에서는 산과 계곡에 폐기물로 방치되어 있는 석탄폐석의 재활용 및 자원화의 측면에서 수처리에이용될수 있는 흡착제의 개발을 위한 기초실험을 수행되었다. 석탄폐석으로는 굴진폐석과 선탄폐석이 이용되었으며, 석탄폐석 자체가 지니고 있는 흡착능 실험과 열처리로 인한 흡착능 개선 여부를 검토하였다. 처리대상물질은 중금속, 색도,그리고 COD들을 선정하였다. 실험조건은 회분식과 컬럼식으로 구분하여 각각 이루어 졌으며 실험결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을수 있었다. This research aims to remove heavy metals. nonbiodegradable COD(NBDCOD), and color using the coal waste. The experimental by heat treatment was performed to advance the adsorption capacity. The results are as follows ; i) The coal waste had the adsorption capacity of heavy metals and th rates were in the range of 20 to 30 percents. ii)The heat treatment was the optimum condition that the reaction time was 6 hours at 500℃. iii) In the column experimen non-treated coal waste remoned the COD and color in the range of 20 to 60 percents. iv)Heat-treated coal waste showed higher removal rate of the color in biological efflunt, and heavy metal and COD removal rates were changed by the filteration rates.
10MgO-10Fe_2O_3-30Na_2O-5OSiO_2 유리의 Mo¨ssbauer 효과 연구

The Mo¨ssbauer effect studies of the quenched glass and heat-treated glasses were performed. The Debye and Einstien temperatures of the quenched glass, determined using the center shift and kinetic temperature, are 540K and 430K respectively. The X-ray diffraction pattern showed that the heat-treated glasses were crystallized. Form the isomer shift of the heat-treated glasses, it was concluded that the Fe^(3+) ion is predominantly octahedrally coordinated.

This research aims to develop biofilm process for the organic and nutrient removil of the piggery wastewater. The four stage anoxic-oxic biofilm process was performed without recirculations of internal and sludge. In summery the results are as follows ; 1) The total removal retes of TCOD and SCOD were 94.8 percent and 92.8 percent at the influent volumetric loading rate of 0.4kgCOD/㎥·d respectively. 2)The total nitrogen removal was affected by the temoerature and the loading rate. The removal rates of total nitrogen were 85 percent and 67 percent at the influent volumetric loading rates of 0.08kgN/㎥·d and 0.53kgN/㎥·d respectively 3)Autooxidation by the organic limit was a cause of the phosophorus release in the aerobic bio process. And the phosphorus removal was affected by the nitrite build-up
Trichloroethylen의 직업적 노출에 의한 독성간염 및 박탈성 피부염 1례

28세 남자가 trichloroethylene을 이용한 세척 및 탈지작업에 종사한지 한 달만에 발열, 오한 및 홍반을 동반한 피부발진 등의 증상이 발현되었다. 황달을 동반한 간기능 부전의 소견을 보였으며 피부는 박탈되었다. 부신피질호르몬, 항히스타민제 및 간기능 보조제를 이용한 치료로 간기능 및 피부 병변은 호전되었다. 검사소견상 Ig E가 상승되었고 trichloroethylene에 의한 과민반응으로 추정되었다. Trichloroethylene을 사용하는 소규모 사업장에서의 노출억제 방안을 포함한 보건관리가 요구되며 특수건강진단 주기에 대한 변경이 필요하리라 사료된다. A 28-year-old male began working as a degreaser. The solvent used in the degreasing operation was trichloroethylene. Over the next month the man experienced fever, chills, and an erythematous skin rash and itching. At that time he had a marked elevation in his liver enzyme, with cholestasis. Over the next few days the rash persisted then peeled. There was an elevation of Ig E, and a positive patch test reaction to trichloroethylene. His dermatitis and hepatitis were considered to be mediated by a hypersensitivity mechanism.

This paper proposed a discriminating method by estimating the turning points and the average magnitude energy in speech signal. This method solved a problem of zero-crossing rate. Transient samples before signal does not reach steady state from the beginning point are discriminated and also features of transient data are estimated by this method. As results that carried out with speech signals, it was found that even through speech samples included in D.C level, the beginning and end point of the speech signals was exactly discriminated by this method, a length of transient period and a short time energy and frequency features were extracted from transient samples and these parameters were compared to each spoken words.

Melanogenesis is a physiological process resulted in the synthesis of melanin pigments, which have a role in protecting skin from the damaging effect of ultra-violet(UV) radiation. The main aim of the present study was to examine the effect of Ulmus davidiana var. japonica on melanogenesis. Cells were cultured in the presence of methanol extracts from Ulmus davidiana var. japonica for 48 h, and there were estimated total melanin content as a final product and activity of tyrosinase, a key enzyme, in melanogenesis. Methanol extracts of the bark Ulmus davidiana var. japonica increased tyrosinase activity and melanin contents in a dose-dependent manner. Especially, It was observed that only 100 μg/ml methanol extract stimulates melanin secretion in B16/F10 melanoma cells by 140% at 48 h treatment and activity of tyrosinase increased by 250 % in the presence of same concentration.
