      • 중고령 근로자의 건강관련 삶의 질과 인지기능, 불안상태의 상관관계 연구

        This study was conducted to examine the health-related quality of life, cognitive functions, and anxiety of middle-aged workers through assessment plans to improve their health-related quality of life. A survey was conducted targeting 125 middle-aged office workers in Seoul. Their state anxiety and the total scores of anxiety have found to significant negative correlation with the health-related quality of life related to mental and total health. Cognitive functions did not show a significant correlation with sub-items of the anxiety state and health-related quality of life. The result that examined the differences in the health-related quality of life according to general characteristics has found the lower age is, when the workers are married, and higher income is, the higher health-related quality of life. The home and working environments that can lower workers' anxiety need to be prepared to continue to improve the health-related quality of life.

      • 노인을 위한 커뮤니티케어에 대한 문헌고찰 : 일본과 영국사례를 중심으로

        This study aimed to seek for the measures for vitalizing the Korean-version community care by understanding foreign cases of community care for elderly. Japan has established a regional comprehensive care system emphasizing the preventive dimension as a part of revision of Care Insurance Act while the United Kingdom has developed the care management on top of enforcement of Community Care Act. After announcing the future direction of community care in 2018, Korea is carrying out various projects under the goal of generalization of community care focusing on elderly in 2026. Through the cases of Japan and the UK, it would be possible to refer to the contents as follows for the development of community care. First, the community resources network should be established. Second, it would be necessary to cultivate professional manpower excellent at the preparation/execution of care plan and needs assessment. Lastly, for the generalization of community care, the local residents' interest and participation are essential, and the social and health services for senior citizens should be expanded to public services.

      • 치매 환자의 우울감 저하를 위한 비약물 중재에 관한 체계적 고찰

        This study was to prepare a theoretical framework of nonpharmacological interventions to reduce the depression of dementia by understanding nonpharmacological interventions related to the depression of dementia published in domestic academic journals during the past 10 years and analyzing methods and results systematically. Literatures were searched in electronic database in KISS, Keris, and RISS from January 2008 to November 2017, and key words are ‘dementia’, ‘depression’, and ‘nonpharmacological interventions’. Total of 10 studies were selected for analysis from 301 searched articles. As an subject, mild and moderate elderly with dementia were the most. There are many theses that measured depression, cognition, and the quality of life, and programs that apply reminiscence therapy of nonpharmacological interventions applied to reduce the depression of elderly with dementia are the most. The study can be used as basic information for specialists caring for elderly with dementia to understand nonpharmacological interventions that reduces the depression.

        소화관내 이물에 대한 고찰

        We analyzed records at Chonnam university hospital from Sep. 1. 1993 to Aug. 31. 1996 to assess clinical significance of the foreign body in the gastrointestinal tract. There were 133 episodes consisting of 79 pediatric and 54 adult patients as possible to review. In the pediatric patients, the coin was the most common cause of foreign body ingestion, while adult patients were usually caused by bones and meat. We removed foreign bodies in the oral cavity and oropharynx in 12 cases using direct laryngopharyngoscpy and forcep. Endoscopy was performed successfully in 47 of 51 patients in which was attempted; there were two complications composed of an aspiration pneumonia and a mediastinitis due to esophageal perforation. There were spontaneous passage of foreign bodies in 48 cases. We observed complications in 6 cases in which 4 cases needed operations due to complications. Foreign bodies which pass into the stomach can be observed for development of complications, as 94% of foreign bodies which reach the stomach spontaneously pass. Only 4 patients required interventions, which was done without mortality.

      • 더덕의 효율적인 재분화 및 뿌리발달

        더덕은 식용, 관상용, 생약재료로 쓰이는 방향성 식물이다. 본 연구는, 종자의 기내배양을 통하여 식물체 재분화와 뿌리발달을 실험했다. 종자의 발아는 GA_(3) 100 mg·L(-1)처리와 저온처리 시 매우 양호하였다. 더덕의 기내에서 shoot의 형성은 2 mg·L^(-1) BA, 2 mg·L(-1) NAA가 첨가된 MS 기본배지에서 가장 양호하였으며, 줄기의 절편체와 비교하여 잎 절편체에서 재분화가 잘되었다. 또한 뿌리의 발육은 계속적인 계대배양에 의해서 양호하였는데 shoot의 길이를 1 cm 정도 남긴 뿌리를 연속적으로 4회 계대배양에서 뿌리가 주근으로 발육하였으며 길이는 약 3 cm 및 직경은 0.5 cm의 정상적인 뿌리를 얻을 수 있었다. Codonopsis lanceolata is widely used as edibles, ornamental plant and crude drug material. This study was carried out to confirm the ratio of germination and efficient differentiation of shoot and root in vitro. The germination of Codonopsis lanceolata seed was excellent in the medium with GA_(3) 100 mg·L(-1) and chilling treatment. The shoot formation of Codonopsis lanceolata was good at the MS medium with 2 mg·L(-1) BA and 2 mg·L(-1) NAA. According to inoculum part, ratio of re-differentiation was higher from the leaf explant compared with the stem explant. For root development, successive subculture with 1 cm shoot of upper part from root was efficient. Roots of Codonopsis lanceolata cultured in vitro system was grown like normal root with length of 3 cm and thickness of 0.5 cm at the 4 successive subcultures.

      • 인삼 Peroxidase(PgPrx3) 유전자의 분리 및 연초의 형질전환

        Peroxidase는 항산화에 관련된 효소이며 식물의 환경스트레스와 성장에 관련되는 중요한 유전자이다. 본 실험에서 사용된 Peroxidase Ⅲ의 cDNA는 Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer 잎에서 추출하였으며 PgPrx3라 명명하였다. 이 gene의 ORF영역은 1,065 bP이고 355개의 아미노산을 가지고 있다. BioEdit 프로그램을 이용하여 PgPrx3와 다른 식물의 peroxidase gene과 비교한 결과 상동성을 가지고 있었으며, Spinacia oleracea(70%), Vigna angulais(71%), Nicotiana tabacum(69%) and Linum usitatissimum(65%). 그중 Vigna angularis의 상동성이 가장 높았다. 담배에 본 유전자를 형질전환시켜 유전자의 특성을 검정하기 위하여 35S/35S/AMV/peroxidas/Tnos를 벡터 pRD400에 재조합 후 아그로박테리아를 이용하여 담배에 도입시켰다. 그리고 PCR를 이용하여 유전자 PgPrx3가 담배에 도입된 것을 확인하였으며, RT-PCR로 정상적으로 PgPrx3 유전자가 전사되어 RNA를 생성하고 있음을 확인하였다. A peroxidase (E.C. 1.11.1.7) is very important enzyme as antioxidants. The function of this gene is connected with growth and environmental stress of plant. A class Ⅲ peroxidase cDNA was isolated from the leaf of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer and named as PgPrx3 which is consisted of an ORF (open reading frame) of 1,065 bp and an amino acid of 355 residues. BioEdit software was used to compare the PgPrx3 amino acid sequence with other plants that showed homologies with Spinacia oleracea (70%), Vigna angularis (71%), Nicotiana tabacum (69%) and Linum usitatissimum (65%). The peroxidase of Vigna angulatis was the most homologous with ginseng. The chimeric PgPrx3 gene, 35S/35S/AMV/peroxidas/ Tnos, was constructed in the binary vector pRD400. Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA4404 harboring disarmed Ti-plasmid was used to transform Nicotiana tabacum L. using the leaf disc. Incorporation of the chimeric gene PgPrx3 into plants were confirmed by PCR analysis of genomic DNA and RT-PCR analysis of mRNA from transgenic tobacco. The PgPrx3 gene from ginseng was stably expressed in transgenic tobacco plants.

        A conceptual design for the development of a remote structural monitoring system is presented in this study. First of all, to satisfy the engineering and customer requirements, requirements/functional analysis for the remote structural monitoring systems are performed in context of the systems approach. The problem definition is given, And the market competitors are analyzed by benchmarking and the alternatives are evaluated. Based on the informations from the above stage, the key elements of the systems are extracted through the functional decomposition and the schematic specifications are described.

      • Current Updates on the Genome Analysis of Leptotrombidium pallidum, a Major Vector Mite for Scrub Typhus

        Leptotrombidium pallidum is the major vector mite for Orientia tsutsugamushi, the causative agent of scrub typhus, in Asian countries, including Korea. The genome size of L. pallidum was previously estimated to be 191 ± 7 Mb (Kim et al., 2014). Genomic DNA (gDNA) was extracted from a single female from a 9-generation inbred L. pallidum colony and used for whole genome amplification (WGA). The resulting amplified gDNA was used for the construction of paired-end and mate-pair libraries and sequenced using Illumina platforms (HiSeq2000 and MiSeq). An unamplified gDNA sample extracted from 20 female mites was also used for sequencing in parallel. More than 45Gb sequence reads from both paired-end and mate-pair libraries of the WGA gDNA were trimmed and then de novo assembled using the CLC Asembly Cell v.4.0 for contig assembly and SSPACE for scaffolding. The assembly generated approximately 6,545 scaffolds with N50 value of 92,945 and total size of ~193Mb, which was in a good agreement with our previous estimation. Repeat analysis showed that about 30% of genome (~58Mb) was masked as repeats, most of which were unclassified novel elements. For gene predictions, generated were the PASA models based on genomic alignments of RNA-seq reads from 4 different chigger mite samples (i.e. male, female, larva, and protonymph) and the GeneWise models based on genomic alignments of protein sequences from 4 closely related species with chigger mite. Independently, ab initio gene predictions were performed with AUGUSTUS and FgeneSH with custom trained matrices optimized for L. pallidum and GENEID with pre-trained matrix for Acyrthopsiphon pisum. By combining all together, 15,842 genes were predicted finally. Manual curation is in progress for various groups of genes, including chemosensory receptor genes, immune-related genes, acaricide target genes, etc.

        재발성 급성췌장염에 합병된 자발성 췌십이지장루 2예

        Intestinal pancreatic fistula complicating acute pancreatitis usually follows surgical intervention or drainage of a pseudocyst or abscess. Occasionally, spontaneous intestinal fistula may develop due to the rupture of a pancreatic pseudocyst or abscess into the adjacent viscera, or the gastrointestinal necrosis secondary to vascular thrombosis in peripancreatic inflammation. Here, we report two cases of spontaneous duodenal fistula complicated by pancreas divisum-associated acute pancreatitis. One case occurred due to spontaneous rupture of a pseudocyst into the duodenum and the other case occurred by periduodenal panniculitis secondary to ductal disruption.

        증례 : 류마티스 ; 강직성 척추염 환자에서 동반된 급성 횡단성 척추염

        급성 횡단성 척추염은 강직성 척추염에서의 염증성 요통과 다른 양상의 기계적 요통을 유발하며, 드물게 발생하지만 빠른 진단과 치료가 예후를 결정한다. 강직성 척추염과 급성횡단성 척추염과의 연관 관계는 아직 확실하지 않으나, 강직성 척추염에서 동반되는 신경학 증상과 유사한 병인을 가지며, 강직성 척추염에 병발된 급성 횡단성 척추염의 예가 보고된 바 있다[4,6]. 따라서 강직성 척추염 환자가 호소하는 요통에 대해 접근할 때 요통의 양상에 대한 정확한 문진이 필요하며 동반된 신경학적 증상의 유무도 살펴보는 것이 중요하다. Neurological manifestations as extra-articular features of ankylosing spondylitis (AS) have not been reported often, and present as root lesions, cauda equina syndrome, and compression of the spinal cord. We report a 31-year-old man who complained of back pain and claudication of both lower extremities. The patient showed typical inflammatory back pain and significant sacroiliitis, consistent with AS. He also had mechanical back pain and unexplained neurological symptoms. A neurological evaluation, including spinal magnetic resonance imaging and a cerebrospinal fluid study, revealed that the patient had acute transverse myelitis (ATM). ATM can be associated with connective tissue diseases. The pathophysiology of ATM consists primarily of inflammatory disorders, similar to the neurological complications of AS. We suggest that ATM is a possible extra-articular manifestation of AS. (Korean J Med 2011;80:S314-S318)
