        허구와 현실을 오가는 은밀한 공동체로서의 온라인 팬덤 사례 연구

        2019년 하반기부터 2020년 초 현재까지 대한민국은 EBS 유튜브 채널인 ‘자이언트펭TV’의 주인공 펭수라는 펭귄 캐릭터 열풍에 빠져있다. 기존 성우가 목소리를 후(後)더빙하는 인형탈 캐릭터와는 달리 펭수는 별도의 성우 없이 스스로 마이크를 차고 인형탈 속 인물이 목소리 연기까지 직접 하는 유일한 캐릭터이다. 살아있는 생명체로 착각하게 만들만큼 자연스러운 펭수의 연기와 순발력 있는 대사 때문에 대중들은 그 안의 연기자에 대해 높은 관심을 보이고 있지만, 공식적으로 연기자의 정체는 공개되지 않았다. 펭수의 높은 인기와 함께 나타난 흥미로운 현상은 펭수가 아닌 펭수 연기자를 대상으로 하는 팬덤이 형성되고 있다는 점이다. 본 연구는 기존 팬덤 연구에서 보이는 양태가 아닌 ‘비밀스러운’ 관계가 형성되고 있는 팬 커뮤니티를 연구대상으로 함으로써 온라인 팬덤에서 나타나고 있는 새로운 현상을 소개하고 분석하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 분석 결과, 펭수 연기자를 대상으로 하는 온라인 커뮤니티는 외부에서 금기시되는 이야기를 자유롭게 할 수 있는 ‘은밀한 비밀놀이’가 수행되는 공동체이자, 이러한 팬덤의 정체성으로 인해 팬들 간에 동질감이 형성되는 ‘온라인 아지트’로서의 역할을 하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 팬들은 연기자에 대해 말할 수 있는 유일무이한 공간을 발견했다는 공동의 기쁨을 공유하고, 캐릭터와 연기자 간의 공통점을 찾아내는 퍼즐 놀이를 통해 매우 독특하고 새로운 형태의 팬덤을 즐기고 있다. 갤러리 내부에서는 비밀스러운 이야기를 할 수 있는 유일한 공간이라는 점에서 공동의 연대감을 형성하고 있으나, 외부에서는 여전히 펭수 연기자의 정체를 지켜주는 암묵적 원칙을 고수하고 있다. 그들은 캐릭터이자 사람인 펭수 연기자를 캐릭터와 사람 간의 분리가 아닌 동일한 정체성을 가진 주체로 바라봐 주고 응원해주고 있다. 하지만 연기자의 캐리어를 위해서는 언젠가는 정체가 드러날 수밖에 없음을 알면서도 동시에 외부의 관심으로부터 지켜주고 싶은 팬들의 감정적 딜레마는 연기자에 대한 연민으로도 연결되어 감정이입이 이루어진다. 또한 팬덤 대상에 대한 자료가 거의 없기 때문에 팬들에게는 연기자의 사진과 동영상 등 과거 자료를 발굴하여 퍼즐처럼 조합하는 것이 팬덤 내에서 행해지는 매우 중요한 창작 작업이자 즐거움과 몰입의 대상이 된다. 마지막으로 그들만의 비밀을 털어놓을 수 있는 유일한 공간이자 지금까지 해보지 못한 독특한 형태의 팬 활동을 하고 있다는 집단적 정체성이 팬 커뮤니티를 외부와 구별 짓고 강한 정서적 연대감을 형성하게 해줌을 알 수 있다. Korea has a new idol, a giant penguin character Pengsoo, created by EBS, from the second half of 2019 up to now. Unlike typical masked characters that their voice are post-dubbed, Pengsoo is the only character showing acting and making a voice simultaneously. Due to Pengsoo’s high quality of performance, including dance, singing, rap and beatbox, and its witty dialogues, it has been highly popular across all the generations in Korea. The identity of actor who is performing Pengsoo has not been revealed and kept confidential in public. With the enormous popularity and attentions, an interesting online fandom phenomenon surrounding Pengsoo is identified; however, it is not about Pensoo itself, but the actor who is performing as Pengsoo. In this backdrop, the purpose of this study is to provide an exploratory analysis to introduce the online fandom phenomenon about Pengsoo’s actor built in online community ‘DC Inside Gallery’. Analyses illuminate that the online community plays a vital role in carrying out ‘clandestine playings’ in terms of free communication without practicing caution about the actor’s real human identity. In addition, with the common purpose, the fan community is an online hideout where fans establish solid bonds and kinship. As the only space where fans can talk about the human, they share the common pleasure for freedom and enjoy the puzzle game in search for common features between the human and character, including accent, gesture, and unique way of speaking. Also they feel sympathy for his status not recognizable in public and at the same time, are willing to protect him from public and media attentions, which is quite ironic. This study has significance in the sense that this deals with an unprecedented online fandom phenomenon and will be the beginning for more diverse and continued research for new online fandom culture.

        생활문화공간조성을 통해 본 생활문화정책의 현황과 과제: 생활문화센터를 중심으로

        With the enactment of < Fundamental Act on Culture > and < Regional Culture Promotion Act > in 2014, the ‘living cultural policy’ has actively widened the areas for support, including the development of living cultural centers and implementation of diverse programs. In this background, this study aims to investigate and analyze the operational conditions of living cultural centers over the country, which have opened more than 100 centers since 2014, and then propose improvement plans for the policy. In doing so, questionnaire and FGI were carried out, aiming at nationwide 81 living cultural center managers. As a result, the general statistics and operational conditions as well as problems were identified based on three aspects: hardware, humanware, and software of living cultural centers. Additionally, this study was able to suggest 4 policy directions for activating the operation of living cultural centers: enhancement of understanding and awareness for living cultural policy, diversification of supporting methods, establishment of support system by phase, and introduction of appointment system for similar facilities. Given the absence of the study on the operation condition of living cultural facilities in Korea yet, a comprehensive research of the current situations and suggestions for cultural policy will be able to provide valuable resources for further research in the field of regional cultural policy in Korea.

        온라인 음악 사이트의 서비스품질이 고객만족에 미치는 영향 연구

        The advance of Internet and the introduction of MP3 digital file have brought the change in consumers’ music consumption patterns and also led to the dramatic change in its value chain throughout musical contents’ production, distribution, marketing and consumption, which has eventually changed the overall music industry paradigm. However, although this new MP3 download and streaming services provide diverse advantages by remarkably reducing the reproduction and distribution cost, it has caused the copyright infringement disputes and has acted as one of main reasons to explain the overall music market depression. Few researches have conducted to develop a valid and reliable set of measures for assessing consumer perception of free contents. This study is designed to examine online music sites because it is considered that digital technology development has more remarkably influenced on the music industry than any other industries, and there has been a huge impact on the change of consumers’ behavior and perception due to the free online sites. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relative effects of each digital contents service quality on customer satisfaction and to provide differentiated strategic implications to marketers by comparing the impacts of each service dimension between paid and free music sites on customer satisfaction. The results of this study were summarized as follows. First, each digital contents service quality shows a significant effect on customer satisfaction both in paid and free online music sites. Especially, among the service quality dimensions, the communication quality in paid online sites shows the most significant effect on customer satisfaction. Second, such customer satisfaction of digital contents service quality also shows a significant effect on re-use intention. Currently, most paid online contents companies have confronted two-sided difficulties: the transform of free online music site users to paid online music site and the retention of existed paid users under the competitive environment among many paid online sites. Therefore, by providing important dimensions of digital service quality between paid and free online sites on customer satisfaction, this study can give the managerial implications to paid online marketers in providing more benefits and satisfaction to paid online users.

        온라인 티켓 재판매 규제에 관한 연구 : 국내 공연산업을 중심으로

        최근 몇 년 사이 전 세계적으로 온라인 티켓 재판매에 대한 논의와 관심은 날로 높아지고 있다. 많은 국가들은 온라인 티켓 암표거래 및 재판매 플랫폼에 대해 규제범위와 방식에서 차이가 있기는 하나 다양한 방식으로 대응하고 있다. 하지만 이러한 세계적인 관심 및 대응과는 대조적으로 국내에서는 아직까지 온라인 티켓 재판매 규제를 위한 움직임이 매우 미흡했으며, 관련 법안조차 존재하지 않았다. 그리고 마침내 2020년 12월 티켓 부정판매를 방지하는 「공연법 개정안」이 통과되어2021년 6월 23일부터 시행되었다. 이에 본 연구는 공연법 개정안 시행과 함께 향후 온라인 티켓 재판매 시장과 관련한 정책 방향 설정 및 공연계 현실에 맞는 개선 방안 논의를 목적으로 한다. 먼저이미 다양한 규제를 시행 중인 미국과 영국을 중심으로 온라인 티켓 재판매에 관한입법화 현황 및 규제 등을 살펴보았다. 이어 국내 매크로 프로그램을 통한 티켓 재판매 및 암표 판매와 관련한 규제와 입법화 현황을 검토하였고, 매크로 프로그램규제, 공연법 개정안의 실효성, 온라인 티켓 재판매 시장 양성화에 관해 논의하였다. 본 연구를 통해 입법적 해석을 넘어 온라인 티켓 재판매 시장 현황 및 전반적맥락에 대한 이해를 기반으로 공연계 현실에 맞는 정책적 개선 논의가 보다 본격적으로 개진될 수 있기를 희망한다. Recently the concerns on online ticket resale have been globally soared. Numerous countries have dealt with problems about online ticket tout and resale platforms in various ways in spite of differences of scope and method on restrictions. However, in contrast with the worldwide concerns and actions, Korea has been relatively slow to take any action against regulating online ticket resale issues, and any legislation has not been made. At the end of 2020, a revised Performance Act was passed and enforced from June, 2021. With the enforcement of the bill, this study aims to provide an exploratory analysis to present current situation related to online secondary ticket resale policy in Korea. It examined how US and England have coped with legislation for online ticket resale. And then it attempted to illuminate the current situation of legislation and restrictions on online secondary ticket market in Korea and examined the effectiveness of the revised Act. Finally, this study suggested that there should be prompt consideration and actions to carry out related policies for establishing stable market ecosystem and providing fair opportunities to consumers.

        기업의 과도한 마케팅이 소비자스트레스 및 권리침해인식과 구매의도에 미치는 영향

        This study seeks to shed light on consumers’ general perceptions of marketing and how these perceptions vary by the type of excessive marketing media. Also, it examines how excessive marketing affects consumers’ stress levels, rights infringement awareness, and purchase intentions. The results are as follows. First, consumers showed a more positive attitude toward traditional media compared to new marketing media. Second, they preferred marketing media that did not infringe on their personal lives (e.g., time or privacy). Third, regarding the attitude manifested by excessive marketing media, consumers held the most negative attitudes toward human media, mobile media, and broadcasting media, in that order. Fourth, regarding their degree of discomfort with excessive marketing media, they felt the most uncomfortable with excessive marketing by mobile media. In response to the question of how they felt about excessive marketing, “Reject” was the most common answer. Fifth, the stress levels caused by excessive marketing media were reported as highly stressful for human media, mobile media, and broadcasting media. Sixth, concerning the effect of the excessive marketing experience on consumers’ purchase intentions, human media had the most negative impact. Finally, the analysis of consumers’ attitude-behavioral models showed that the consumers’ stress and rights infringement awareness caused by all three types of media(human, mobile, and broadcasting) had a negative impact on purchase intentions.

      • Effect of Different Types of Whey Protein Isolate from Traditional Cheese Whey and Microfiltered Native Whey on Protein Quality and Muscle Strength in Rats

        To evaluate the effect of whey protein isolate (WPI) prepared by different methods on protein quality and muscle strength, Sprague-Dawley rats were orally administered with 1.56 g protein/kg body weight of lyophilized beverages containing WPI from traditional cheese whey (non-MF) and microfiltered native whey (MF). After eight weeks of administration, MF significantly (p<0.05) increased lean mass and relative weights of soleus and plantaris muscle compared with non-MF; however, no differences were observed in body weight, feed intake, feed efficiency ratio, and fat mass. There was a significant (p<0.05) time effect in the plasma essential amino acid and leucine concentrations, but no treatment effect and time x treatment interaction were observed. Although there were no differences in true digestibility, the biological value and net protein utilization in MF were significantly (p<0.05) higher than in non-MF. Furthermore, MF significantly (p<0.05) increased grip strength compared with non-MF. These results suggest that MF exhibits high protein utilization and may help enhance muscle mass and strength.
