감염성 대동맥염은 흔하지 않지만 매우 위중한 질병으로 Salmonella so.와 S. aureus가 주된 원인균이다. 아직까지 병원내 감염의 주요 원인균인 Acinetobacter baumannii에 의한 감염성 대동맥염은 보고된 바가 없었다. 저자들은 대동맥 판막 치환술을 시행받은 76세 남자 환자에서 적절한 항생제 투여에도 반복되는 A. baumannii 균혈증의 원인이 감염성 대동맥염으로 진단되었던 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Infectious aortitis is an uncommon yet, life threatening disease. Early surgical treatment and prolonged antibiotic therapy is crucial to survival. Salmonella sp. and Staphylococcus aureus are the most common organisms isolated. There is no case report of infectious aortitis caused by Acinetobacter baumannii, which has recently emerged as a major cause of health care-associated infections. Here, we describe a 76-year-old male with infectious aortitis who experienced recurrent bacteremia due to A. baumannii in spite of adequate antimicrobial therapy after aortic valve replacement.

This article provides a representative review of the current literature on research of demonstration and modeling in motor learning and sport psychology. The reviewed studies are presented and discussed in various demonstration/modeling topics and theories. They are 1) three basic modeling theories, 2) various foundings and suggestions of demonstration studies, 3) the effectiveness of verbal reheasal and cue which related to task presentation, 4) the problems and limitations on research of demonstration, 5) suggestions for future demonstration research. It is important to note that the simple demonstration may not help students' understanding of what they suppose to do. Especially, for young learner, it is more important to apply that more frequent demonstration with verbal rehearsal, and cue should be provided for more comprehensive understanding of demonstration.
Vinyl monomer에 의한 SIS block copolymer의 改質과 그 特性

The graft polymerization of 2-Hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA) and Vinyltriethoxysilane (VTES) onto Styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer (SIS) was carried out in toluene, with radical initiators such as benzoyl peroxide(BPO) and α, α`-Azobisisobutyronitrile(AIBN) under nitrogen atmosphere. The degree of grafting was increased with the increases of the reaction temperature and reaction time. The efficiency of BPO was superior to that of AIBN. The mechanical properties and molecular weight of graft products were measured and the applicability as a adhesive of plasticized PVC leather was examined. The hardness and the molecular weight of graft products was increased with the increases of the degree of grafting, but elongation at break was decreased with the increases of one. And the tensile strength was maximum at the degree of grafting of about 6.5%. It was found that a toluene solution of graft products was confirmed to be an effective hot melt adhesive for the bond of plasticized PVC leather.
METRx™ 기구를 이용한 후방 경추부 추궁추간공 제거술의 예비 결과

Objectives: Posterior cervical microscopic laminoforaminotomy has been a preferred procedure for a posterolateral cervical disc or foraminal stenosis. However, neckpain from wide skin incision and muscle injury are some of disadvantages. The authors performed cervical microscopic laminoforaminotomy with METRx™ tubular dilator system and were compared the results with classical cervical microscopic foraminotomy. Methods: Six patients underwent posterior cervical microscopic laminoforaminotomy using the METRx™ during 6 months. We have selected 10 patients from our institution as a comparison group. Preoperative and postoperative pain score composed of the radicular and neck component was examined and disability score also recorded. Diameters and lengths of laminoforaminotomy on the postoperative CT also were compared with two methods Results: Postoperative pain scores to the radiculopathies were not different but postoperative pain scores to the neckpain on the follow up periods were significantly different. The average vertical and transverse diameters of the laminoforaminotomy defect on the postoperative CT scans were not different between two groups. Average hospital stay of the classical methods was 8.8±7.5 days comparison with 4.5±0.54days of new procedure. Conclusions: Posterior cervical microscopic laminoforaminotomy with METRx™ systems seems to provide similar decompression and clinical results as classical methods compared to classical methods and shows superior results for postoperative neckpain and hospital stays.
배관 검사용 Radiometric Scanning System 제작 및 시험

필름을 사용하지 않는 방사선투과검사 시스템인 1차원 Radiometric scanning system을 개발하여 부식 및 침적물이 있는 배관의 두께평가에 적용해 보았다. 개발된 시스템은 단일 방사성 동위원소에서 나오는 방사선을 선형으로 접속하여 시험체를 투과시킨 방사선을 한개의 섬광형 검출기인 BGO를 사용하여 검출하는 single source - single detector alignment system을 제어하는 기계주사 시스템과 제어 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템의 성능을 GEANT4 프로그램을 사용하여 예측하여 보았다. 그리고, 인공결함을 제작하여 넣은 시편과 두께 변화를 준 시편에 적용하여 실제 성능을 평가하였다. 이 시스템은 방사성 동위원소를 이용하여 배관의 부식과 침적물에 의한 두께 변화에 대하여 실시간으로 필름을 사용하지 않고 평가할 수 있는 가능성을 알 수 있었다. One dimensional Radiometric scanning was fabricated and tested as a filmless radiographic inspection system, which could be applied to the evaluation of the corrosion and deposits in the pipeline. This system is composed of the single radioactive source of the collimated focusing beam, and single scintillation detector of BGO, and the mechanical scanning system to transport and align the source and detector, and the operating software to automatically control the mechanical scan system. The performance of the system was simulated using GEANT4 software. This system is applied to one specimen having an artificial flaw(flat bottom hole) in the pipe and other specimen with thickness variation. For the inspection by using the radioactive source in the pipeline, it is possible to evaluate the corrosion and deposits in real time and without film.
