현대 교회의 예배음악에 대한 연구 : 내용적 측면을 중심으로

기독교 예배의 가장 중요한 내용은 본질적으로 하나님을 경배하는 것과 관계한다. 그러나 예배의 본질 안에는 또 다른 본질들을 내포하고 있다. 즉, 예배는 하나님께로 향하는 경배의 의미와 하나님께서 인간에게 말씀하시는 선포의 의미를 가지며, 하나님의 섭리가 인간들 사이에서 나타나고 있다는 것을 깨닫게 하며 이러한 계기를 통해 하나님을 만나게 된다는 것을 포함한다. 예배음악은 이러한 예배로서의 내용을 잘 담아내야 한다. 그러나 예배에 대한 이해의 관점에 따라 그 내용의 범위는 달라질 수 있기 때문에 이것에 대한 문제는 계속해서 논쟁이 되고 있다. 이것은 한국 교회의 목회자들과 음악사역자들에게 ‘과연 어떤 내용의 예배음악을 선택할 것인가?’에 대한 고민을 하게 한다. 특히 필자는 이러한 논쟁은 예배자가 예배음악을 통해 하나님의 풍성한 은혜를 자유롭게 예배하는데 장애가 될 수 있다고 생각한다. 본 논문은 예배와 예배음악에 대한 어원적, 역사적 연구와 함께 이를 바탕으로, 특히 예배음악의 본질을 연구하여 예배음악으로 하여금 하나님께 드려지는 예배 자체로서의 가치와 예배가 가지고 있는 본질들의 내용들을 풍성하게 담아낼 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 본 논문의 Ⅰ장에서는 본 논문에 대한 문제제기와 연구의 목적, 연구 방법, 그리고 연구논지를 밝히고 있으며, Ⅱ장에서는 예배에 대한 어원적 연구와 역사적 연구를 통해 예배의 본질적 속성들을 탐구함으로써 예배가 경배로서만이 아닌 여러 가지 의미를 포함하고 있음을 제시하였다. Ⅲ장은 Ⅱ장에서의 방법과 같이 예배음악의 어원적, 역사적 연구와 이를 종합한 이해를 통해 예배음악의 본질을 연구하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 Ⅱ장과 Ⅲ장을 통해 연구된 예배음악에 대한 속성들이 회중과 성가대를 통해 각각의 위치에서 충실히 드러나야 한다는 것을 연구하였다. Ⅴ장은 본 논문의 결론으로서, 지금까지 진행된 논문의 내용을 요약정리하며 마무리 하였다. 이로써 본 논문은 예배음악이 예배로서 하나님께 영광을 돌리는 것이어야 하고, 하나님의 백성들에게 그의 말씀을 선포하는 것이어야 하며, 예배음악을 통해 신자들 서로가 서로에게 하나님의 위대하심을 증거하고 그 속에서 하나님을 만날 수 있게 하는 것이어야 함을 말하고 있다. Essentially, the most important content of Christian worship is about worshiping God. But there are other essences in the essence of worship. Such as, worship contains worshipping to God and God's speaking to people. And the worship make us know that God's providence happens among the people, though which we meet God. Worship music should contains these content of worship. But because of the differences among the understanding to worship, the controversy about this problem is continually going on. This make the pastors of Korean church and workers of Christian music be trouble about ‘Indeed, what content of Christian music should be chosen?’. Specially, writer think that this kind of controversy will become the obstacle to worshiping the God's abundant grace freely through Christian music. This thesis make an etymological study of worship and worship music, on the basis of which writer want to research the essence of worship music so that the worship music-as the worship itself-can be offered to God and can contain more essential content of worship. Chapter one throw light on presentation to subject and purpose and method of research and the point. Chapter two, making an etymological and historical study, present worship is not only worshiping with music but also contain other meaning. Chapter three, using the same method with chapter two, through the synthesized understanding research the essence of the worship music. Chapter four researches that how to reveal the properties of worship music in the audience and choir. Chapter five, as the conclusion of the thesis, put all the contents of the thesis in order. So the conclusion of this thesis contain the content as below. As the worship, worship music should give glory to God, and declare God's word to his people. And through the worship music, believers testify the great of God, and meet God in worship.
