저자들은 중증 재생불량성빈혈로 동종 골수이식 및 추가적인 동종 말초혈액 조혈모세포이식을 시행 받은 후 만성 이식편대숙주질환이 발생하여 면역억제제로 조절되었으나 자가면역성 갑상선기능항진증이 병발한 1예를 경험하였기에 이를 보고하는 바이다. Chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), which is a frequent complication following bone marrow transplantation (BMT), is characterized by fibrosis of the skin, liver, lungs, and gastrointestinal tract, immunodeficiency, and the production of autoantibodies. Endocrine dysfunction, in particular thyroid disease, has been described following BMT, but this has previously meant hypothyroidism secondary to total body irradiation or transfer of autoimmune hyperthyroidism from a donor with Graves’ disease rather than in association with chronic GVHD. We report a case of a 26-year-old man who developed Graves’ disease eight years after BMT and who had remission of chronic GVHD. He received an allogeneic BMT for severe aplastic anemia. Eighteen months after BMT, diarrhea and chronic GVHD developed and were treated with cyclosporine and steroid. Four years after ceasing the cyclosporine, the patient developed weight loss, palpitations, fever, and anterior neck swelling, and was diagnosed with Graves’ disease based on typical thyroid function tests. The signs and symptoms in the patient improved with propylthiouracil and propranolol.
위암 환자의 복강내 투여를 위한 Activated Charcoal-Alginate Bead 제형으로부터 Mitomycin C의 용출 거동

Locoregional recurrence is the most common type of recurrence in surgical operation of gastric adenocarcinoma, and peritoneal dissemination is one of the most difficult problems in advanced gastric adenocarcinoma treatment. Because the peritoneal cavity is the most common site of the first recurrence after gastric cancer resection, intraperitoneal chemotherapy seems a logical choice for cancer chemotherapy. In this study, Mitomycin C (MMC)-activated charcoal (CH)-alginate (ALG) beads were prepared by the mixtures of CH particles adsorbed with MMC as an anti-cancer drug and aqueous alginate solution. The alginate is recognized as biodegradable, nontoxic, and biocompatible. The release of MMC from the beads in 0.1 M Tris buffer was stable and continuous until about 1 week. The MMC-CH-ALG beads can be applied in the peritoneal cavity for intraperitoneal chemotherapy since they provide a good adhesiveness on the tissue and controlled release pattern of the drugs.
복숭아나무 硬枝揷木時 揷木 用土와 基間이 發根과 圃場活着에 미치는 영향

복숭아나무 경지삽목 번식에 있어서 삽목 용토와 기간 및 삽수내 저장 양분 함량 변화 등이 발근과 포장 활착에 미치는 영향을 구명하였다. 삽목 용토는 vermiculite가 peat pellets 岩線보다 발근율, 발근수와 발근장 및 포장 활착율 등에 있어서 가장 좋은 효과를 나타냈다. 삽목 기간은 35일에서 55일로 기간이 길어질수록 발근율이 높고 뿌리 발달이 좋아졌으나, 포장 활착율은 삽수내전탄수화물과 전당 등 전당 등 저장양분 소비가 많아 삽목 기간이 짧은 35일에서 높았다. 특히 이들 양분 중에서 sucrose의 소비가 가장 많았다. 포장에서 활착후 수고, 간경 등 생육은 모든 처리에서 수고 136㎝, 간경 22.9㎜ 이상으로 삽목 당년에 우량묘가 생산되었다. This experiment was studied to examine the effect of cutting media and duration on rooting and transplanting using hardwood cutting of 'Sunaga Wase' peach to establish mass production system of rooted cutting. In cutting media, vermiculite showed higher root growth than peat pellets and rock-wool on rooting, root number, root length, and survival in field. The longer cutting duration was from 35 to 55 days, the better rooting and root growth obtained. But the transplanting was the best at 35 days, because it held enough storage nutrient including carbohydrate and sugar which were consumed in cutting stem tissue of 'Sunaga Wase' peach during hardwood cutting. Especially, among these nutrients, sucrose showed the highest consumption. After transplanting of rooted cutting to field, tree height and diameter of ' Sunaga Wase' peach was 136㎝ and 22.9㎜, respectively. therefore it could product the best quality of rooted cutting.
복숭아 품종별 경지 삽목에 있어서 삽수기부의 Wounding이 발근 및 활착에 미치는 영향

The effect of wounding method on rooting and field adaptation was studied in 'Sunaga Wase' peach and several cultivars in order to establish mass production system of rooted cutting. Rooting was more than 90% in 'Sunaga Wase', 'Kurakata wase', 'Wolbongjosaeng' and 'Wolmijosaeng', and Root number, weight and length showed similar tendency, however, taking root in field was the highest, as much as 75.8% 'in Sunaga Wase'. Modified wounding tool (MWT) was more effective than current method because rooted cutting with MWT showed high root growth including rooting, root number, root weight and saved wounding time.

A common form of relapse in adenocarcinoma of the stomach is intraperitoneal dissemination, in fact, among gastric adenocarcinoma patients who have undergone surgery intended to cure, approximately 50% of the patients develope initial recurrence in the peritoneal cavity regardless of the anatomic site of the primary tumor within the stomach. The efficacy of systemic postoperative chemotherapy to prevent peritoneal recurrence of gastrric adcnocarcinoma is not satisfactory. There is still a great need for improved therapeutic strategies on the disseminated microscopic disease and small miliary nodules remaining on the peritoneal surface or lymphatics after operation. The authers have made fluorouracil-polyglycolic acid composite disks(Fu-PGA disks) with fluorouracil and biodegradable polymer: polyglycolic acid for more effective intraperitoneal chemotherapy. We inserted the Fu-PGA disk(s) in the peritoneal cavity of rat and pharmacokinetic study was performed to measure fluorouracil concentration in the peritoneal fluid, plasma, liver, kidney and heart tissue at 24 hour, 72 hour and 168 hour after insertion of Fu-PGA disk(s). Myelosuppressive action of this composite also was determined following its administration. The data of this study suggested that Fu-PGA composite will be a new device releasing drugs in a controlled manner and having targetability to peritoneum, and this device will be improving the efficacy of intraperitoneal chemotherapy for gastric adenocarcinoma.

Because the peritoneal cavity is the most common site of the first recurrence after gastric cancer resection, intraperitoneal chemotherpy seems a logical choice for cancer chemotherapy. The Mitomycin C(MMC) adsorbed by the activated charcoal particles(CH) is relatively released when the drug concentration surrounding the carbon particles becomes low in the peritoneum of the peritoneal cavity. For the intraperitoneal chemotherapy on the advanced gastric adenocarcnoma, mitomycin C adsorbed on activated carbon particles was administered in the peritoneal cavity just before abdominal wall closure. The closed drainage tubes were inserted in the peritoneal cavity and clamped for tuo hours after completion of operation. MMC concentrations were serially measured in peritoneal fluid, plasma and urine at 2hour, 48 hour, 72 hour and 168 hour following its administration in order to study the efficacy of the MMC-CH as a drug delivery system. There were minimal toxicities in born marrow, liver, and gastrointestinal system after intraperitoneal MMC-CH administration. The data of this study suggested that MMC-CH may have a somewhat more beneficial effect than surgery alone when administered in optimal dose and schedules, but the MMC concentration of the peritoneal fluid was not sufficient to eradicate remnant cancer cells, and effective duration of maintenance was only below 24 hours in the peritoneal fluid and plasma.
中心壓軸力을 받는 高强度 鐵筋콘크리트 기둥의 耐力과 延性에 關한 실험적 硏究

A study on the behavior of short reinforced concrete columns was experimently described. Twenty-four concrete columns, with 20cm square and 60cm height, containing 8 longitudinal steel bars and different the amount of ties, spacing and concrete strengths, were subjected to concentric load by failure. Test results indicated that 1) It is incompatible in high-strength concrete to arrange stirrups to the AIK code of D/2 throughout the example of 10cm stirrup spacing following AIK codes. 2) As the amount of stirrup increased, the strength and ductily of reinforced concrete column improved. 3) As the concrete strength is high, the effect of the was reduced. 4) If strength enhancement factors increased, strain at maximum load also does and ductility ratios does almost linearliary. 5) The rate of strength enhancement factor does well with the modified kent & Park's theory. 6) As to the result of calculating the effective confined area which is suggested in Sheikh & Uzumeri's theory, the middle vertical steel is effective, only if the stirrups are arranged with spacing of 3cm.
