        This study aimed to evaluate the nutritional quality of lunch box products (a la carte menu only) sold by the Korean big 3 convenience store brands (CU, GS25, and 7-Eleven) as a meal replacement. Samples of all lunch box products sold during October 2016 in Asan city, South Korea were collected for nutritional quality evaluation. A total of 8 different kinds of lunch box products (CU: 4, GS25: 2, 7-Eleven: 2) were collected and included in the final analysis. The average calories per lunch box were 628.6 kcal, which is 72.5% of the recommended intake for men (866.6 kcal) and 89.8% of the recommended intake for women (700.0 kcal). The amounts of food items in“Vegetables”, "Fruits", and“Milk and Dairy Products”were considerably insufficient. The average sodium content was 2.2 times the recommended intake (666.7 mg) at 1446.0 mg. Overall, the study results revealed that the nutritional quality of convenience store lunch box products (a la carte menu only) were inadequate as a meal replacement.

        푸드테크 관련 한국과 일본의 특허 등록 현황

        This study analyzed the current status of registered patents related to food tech in Korea and Japan. Using the patent information search services of Korean and Japanese Patent Offices, patents registered during the past 10 years from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2015 were searched with the following key words/phrases: "food or meal or diet" and "program or information system". A total of 669 patents (539 for Korea and 130 for Japan) were finally selected and analyzed. Based on Porter's value chain theory, the patents were categorized into three dimensions related to "manufacturing/processing/distribution", "sales & marketing", and "consumer support". The results showed that in Korea, 41.7% of the total patents were related to sales & marketing followed by consumer support (37.3%) and manufacturing/processing/distribution (21.0%). In Japan, patents related to consumer support accounted for 56.2% followed by manufacturing/processing/distribution (32.3%), and sales & marketing (11.5%). In the area of manufacturing/processing/distribution, "food quality management system" in Korea, and "food manufacturing and processing management system" and "food safety control and hazard analysis system" in Japan tended to show a significantly higher proportion of patents registered (p<.05). Under sales & marketing, patents in the categories of "food purchase and delivery service system" in Korea and "restaurant information sharing system" in Japan tended to be more frequently registered (p<.05). Finally, in the area of consumer support, "kitchen facility and cooking device control system" in Korea and "menu and nutrition management system" in Japan tended to account for a significantly higher proportion of patents registered (p<.001). The results are expected to provide useful insights into the development of new patents and markets for food tech in the future.

        노인 식생활 관련 국내 특허 등록 현황

        The purpose of this study was to examine the current status of patents related to dietary life of the elderly in Korea. Using Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service, patents registered between 2002 and 2013 were searched with the key words including 'elderly or the aged' and 'food, meal, or dietary life.' The search results showed 1,438 patents, and 500 patents meeting the research purpose were selected and analyzed. They were divided into two categories: 'patents on foods' and 'patents on products and services related to dietary life.' The former was further divided into four subgroups as follows: foods for health promotion, foods for disease prevention, foods for the people with difficulty in swallowing and masticating, and others. Also, the latter was divided into products or services. The results showed that patents on foods accounted for about 90%, of which the patents on foods for health promotion were ranked as the highest (40%). The number of patents on products and services related to dietary life was relatively small, indicating that the technology development has been focused on foods. Therefore, the technology for products and services related to dietary life should be actively developed as well as that for foods to improve the quality of life for the elderly in the future.

        HMR형 냉동 별미밥에 대한 소비자 인식 및 구매실태

        This study was designed as the precedent research to develop improve the HMR type flavored cooked rice, by analyzing the consumer perception and purchase pattern. This will in turn provide base data to that will help in the development of products that meet consumer's convenience and quality demands. An online survey of 247 people (63.5%) in the age of 20 to 60 was conducted on January 2019. For the primary reason of buying those products, the survey respondents chose a convenience of 71.7%. They are likely to buy 1~2 times a month (40.5%) in hypermarkets (63.6%). The channel choice showed meaningful difference between segments (p<0.01). 89.1% of respondents replied that they are willing to purchase frozen flavored cooked rice in the future. The Key Purchasing factor appeared to be the flavor (5.80), while nutrition (4.89) was chosen as the least important factor. For flavor preference, sea food received the highest score (5.05), while radish kimchi flavor received the lowest (4.02) with a meaningful difference by gender and age (p<0.01). Consumers who sought nutrition, convenience and adventure in HMR products had higher willingness to re-purchase. Developing healthy, flavorful, sensory, and enjoyable HMR products will be critical in the fulfillment of diverse consumer needs.

        병원간호사의 코로나바이러스감염증-19 감염예방행위 수행도 영향요인

        본 연구는 병원간호사의 코로나바이러스감염증-19 감염예방행위 수행도의 영향요인을 규명하기 위해 시행된 서술적 조사연구이다. 본 연구의 대상자는 대전광역시에 소재한 상급종합병원 간호사 190명이며, 자료수집은 2021년 3월에 시행하였다. 연구결과 대상자의 감염예방행위 수행도에 미치는 영향요인으로 연령(β=.25, p=.008), 근무부서(β =.15, p=.046) 및 병원안전문화(β=.17, p=.025)로 나타났으며, 모형의 전체 설명력은 8.2%로 나타났다. 따라서 상급종 합병원 간호사의 감염예방행위 수행도를 높이기 위해서는 병원안전문화 형성을 증진시킬 수 있는 교육과 정책이 필 요할 것으로 사료된다. This study is a descriptive study to investigate factors affecting the level of performance of COVID-19 infection prevention activities among nurses. The participants were 190 nurses at a tertiary hospital located in Daejeon city and data collection was performed during March, 2021. The results showed that the factors affecting the level of performance of infection prevention activities were age(β=.25, p=.008), working unit(β=.15, p=.046), and hospital safety climate(β=.17, p=.025). Therefore, in order to improve the level of performance of infection prevention activities among hospital nurses, education and policy to establish a hospital safety climate should be implemented.

        온라인 리뷰 마이닝을 통한 국내호텔 서비스품질 주요속성 분석

        With the aim of finding key attributes of hotel service quality in Korea, this paper presents an analysis based on online review mining. Online review mining is known as an effective means of understanding customer needs and identifying key attributes for customer satisfaction. In this paper, a total of 8,791 online reviews on 157 hotels in Seoul, Jeju, and Busan are collected from TripAdvisor and divided into 40 segments depending on hotel locations (Seoul, Jeju, Busan), hotel ratings (5-3 stars), and customer types (families, friends, couples, solo, business). A term-frequency analysis using text mining is performed to figure out the most frequently mentioned service attributes in each segment. The effect of different locations, hotel ratings, and customer types on attribute importances are examined by averaging and comparing term frequencies from individual segments. The results enables a better understanding of Voice of the Customer and provides useful information supporting hotel quality management and marketing.

        한국과 일본에 거주하는 일부 초등학생들의 전통음식 섭취실태와 인식

        This study was undertaken to examine the knowledge about food culture and intakes of traditional food in Korean and Japanese elementary school students. In 2012 and 2013, a total of 265 students were surveyed, consisting of 73 Korean fifth graders and 192 Japanese sixth graders. The questionnaire comprised of queries on general items, the recognition and sampling of traditional and celebration foods, the knowledge about the partner country's food culture, and the frequency of consuming the partner country's foods. As a result of this study, the frequency of consuming their own country's traditional foods for Korean children (3.1 out of 5.0 points) and Japanese children (3.2 out of 5.0 points) was similar to each other. Japanese children reported to eat Korean foods (2.9 points) more frequently than those of Korean children to eat Japanese foods (2.4 out of 5.0 points) (p<0.001). However, the Korean children reported to have more experience on given typical Japanese foods than Japanese children reported about Korean foods. Further studies are needed for the perception on traditional foods in Korean and Japanese children. The results of this study can be used as a basic data to succeed and develop traditional food cultures.

        유럽연합 기본권 헌장의 의의와 한계 - 소수민족 로마족(ROMA)을 중심으로 -

        The European Union has oriented ‘one Europe’ based on the common value of ‘respect for the human rights’ through the establishment of ‘Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union’. The Charter brings together in a single document the fundamental rights protected in the EU. After the Treaty of Lisbon in 2009, the Charter becomes a legally binding document. Under the Charter, the European Union and its Member States have to comply with respect for the fundamental rights of any citizen of the European Union including national minority and any person residing or having its registered office in a Member State. Nevertheless, the national minority does not guarantee their fundamental rights for the part of social-economic rights at the discretion of the Member States. Especially, the Roma – Europe’s largest national minority - is one of the victims of the discrimination and social exclusion without the guaranteeing of the Fundamental rights. This article examines the historical overview and the contents with the legal statues of the Charter. Furthermore, it will be indicated the limit of the Charter in guaranteeing the fundamental rights of national minority within the ‘Joint Responsibility’ of the European Union and its member states with the case of the Roma.
