적정기술을 활용한 초등학교 녹색기술교육프로그램의 적용 및 효과

이 연구는 최지연(2012b)의 초등학교 실과와 융합된 적정기술을 적용한 녹색기술교육프로그램을 학교 현장에 적용하고 효과를 검증하기 위한 목적에서 수행되었다. 연구의 목적을 이루기 위해 첫째, 설문조사의 정량적 분석을 통한 프로그램의 효과 검증, 둘째, 자유기술형 응답, 면담의 정성적 분석을 통한 효과 검증이라는 연구 내용을 설정하였다. 프로그램 적용의 효과는 선행연구와 전문가 검토를 거쳐 구안된 설문조사 문항지와 인터뷰 가이드를 통해 확보한 자료를 정량적, 정성적 방법으로 분석하여 검증하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 실과와 융합된 적정기술을 적용한 녹색기술교육 프로그램을 충북의 W 초등학교 6학년 남, 녀학생 24명을 대상으로 7주 동안 적용하여 효과를 검증하였다. 둘째, 설문조사를 통한 정량적 분석 결과 적정기술에 대한 인식과 지속가능한 삶에 관한 태도에서 학생들은 대부분 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 셋째, 자유기술형 응답과 면담의 정성적 분석 결과 적정기술에 대한 이해와 생각, 지속가능한 삶에 관련된 태도 등에서 학생들은 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 이를 통해 적정기술을 적용한 녹색기술교육 프로그램이 단기간의 교육 프로그램이라는 한계에도 불구하고 적정기술에 관한 인식과 지속가능한 삶에 대한 태도에서 긍정적인 효과를 가져왔음을 알 수 있었다. The purpose of this study was to applicate and verify green technology education program fused with practical arts education at the elementary level. To achieve the purpose of this research, two research tasks were established. First, to verify applied program through questionnaire in quantitative research methods. Second, to verify applied program through self descriptive replies and interviews in qualitative research methods. The effects of program application were verified by data from questionnaire and interviews that were designed through an expert’s verification. The results of this study were as follows. First, green technology education program fused with elementary practical arts was applied and verified in 24 students of 6th grade of W elementary school in Chungbuk province. Second, as the results of quantitative analysis by questionnaire showed that positive change of students occurred in most parts of categories likes recognition, thinking, attitude. Third, as the results of qualitative analysis by self descriptive replies and interviews presented that positive change of students occurred in understanding and thinking of appropriate technology and attitude of sustainable life. As a result, despite of limit that green technology education programs with appropriate technology were not long times, it presented that the programs made positive effects in recognition of appropriate technology and attitude of sustainable life.

This study examined the beneficial effects of the n-butanol fraction and rutin extracted from tartary buckwheat (TB) on learning and memory deficits in a mouse model of amyloid β (Aβ)-induced Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Learning and memory were assessed using the T-maze, object recognition, and Morris water maze tests. Animals administered Aβ showed impaired cognition and memory, which were alleviated by oral administration of an n-butanol fraction and rutin extracted from TB. Similarly, Aβ-induced increases in nitric oxide formation and lipid peroxidation in the brain, liver, and kidneys were attenuated by treatment with n-butanol fraction and rutin from TB in addition to antioxidant effects observed in control (nonAβ-treated) animals. The results of the present study suggest that the n-butanol fraction and rutin extracted from TB are protective against and have possible therapeutic applications for the treatment of AD.
Splenogonadal Fusion: A Case Report

Splenogonadal fusion is a rare congenital anomaly characaterized as the fusion of the spleen and a gonad. The first report of this anomaly was in 1883 and only 160 cases have been reported to date. As far as we know, this is the first reported case of splenogonadal fusion in this country.
성인 남․ 여의 일반적 특성에 따른 두피 및 모발 손상에 관한 연구

This study aims to study the average characteristics of scalp and hair damage in adult men, women living in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do. The project of this study is to use the data so that it may aid contemporary citizens in maintaining healthy, beautiful scalps and hair more effectively. The final 642 data collected using self-contained questionnaires were analyzed using the SPSS 20.0. First, based on the general characteristics of the subjects, gender: female, age: 30s-40s, scalp: normal and dry, hair condition: damaged, amount of hair: normal and a little thin. Kind of shampoo: normal shampoo and hair loss prevention shampoo, and the reason for care: for the prevention of damage were the highest results. Second, based on the dimensions of scalp and hair damage, a total of two factors were derived: hair weakness and scalp weakness. Third, according to the study of differences in scalp and hair damage based on general characteristics, all the factors (excluding scalp deterioration by gender) such as age, scalp type, scalp condition, hair condition, hair volume, shampoo type, and reasons for care showed significant differences in their results. it can be concluded that modern individual’s scalp and hair damage caused by general characteristics show differences. This study will aid with the analysis of the general characteristics and present solutions for maintaining healthy and beautiful scalp and hair for people today.
산돌배 과실 추출물의 젖산균 혼합발효를 통한 고농도 GABA 생산

γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) was produced by the sequential fermentation of the fruit extract of Pyrus ussuriensis Maximowicz (PFE) with two strains of lactic acid bacteria. The soluble solid content of the PFE was 5.25 oBrix and it also displayed a high potassium content of 127.6 mg/100 g. The first lactic acid fermentation of PFE was performed with Leuconostoc citreum S5 at 25℃ for 2 days. Subsequently, the second lactic acid fermentation was carried out with the first fermented PFE fortified with 3% monosodium ʟ-glutamate (MSG) by Lacobacillus plantarum EJ2014 at 30℃ for 5 days. During the first fermentation, the pH of the PFE medium decreased from 4.42 to 4.19 and the acidity increased from 0.28% to 1.03%. After the second fermentation, pH was 4.64 and acidity was 1.23%. The viable cell counts of Lc. citreum S5 and L. plantarum EJ2014 were 7.94 log CFU/mL and 9.18 log CFU/mL, respectively. The amount of the reducing sugar in PFE increased during the first fermentation period and was nearly consumed during the 2nd fermentation. Notably, MSG was successfully converted into 1.78% of GABA during the second fermentation. In conclusion, high yield for production of GABA was achieved by a novel mixed fermentation of lactic acid bacteria, which highlights PFE as a functional food material.
