        Effect of a marine bacterial biofilm on adhesion and retention of pseudo barnacle to silicone coating surface

        The effect of a marine bacterial Cytophaga lytica (C. lytica) biofilm on the adhesion and retention of apseudobarnacle (epoxy adhesive) to platinum-cured silicone coatings was investigated at varying coating thickness(100-800 μm), modulus (E=0.08-1.3MPa), and shear rate (2-22 μm/s). The initial adhesion of C. lytica biofilm onthe silicone coating surfaces was increased as the coating modulus was increased. Nonetheless, the adhesion strengthof the pseudobarnacle was not significantly influenced by the attached biofilms, with its strength decreasing with increasingthe coating modulus. Thus, these results suggest that the pseudobarnacle adhesion strength would be primarilydetermined by physico-mechanical properties of the silicone coatings. Also, the adhesion/detachment tests demonstratedthat the retention of the pseudobarnacle after water jetting was minimal for the soft silicone coating (VP1), whichshowed better performance than the widely acceptable silicone resin of DC 3140.

        터널 지보용 숏크리트의 유해이온에 대한 열화특성

        유해 환경하에 노출된 숏크리트는 시간이 경과함에 따라 각종 유해이온의 침식으로 인하여 열화하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 환경에 노출된 숏크리트의 열화특성을 평가하기 위하여 황산염 및 산에 대한 화학적침식에 대하여 유해이온에 각각 60주 동안 침지한 숏크리트 코어 공시체를 대상으로 외관조사, 압축강도, 부착강도 및 기기분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 용액의 종류에 관계없이 침지재령 60주에서 균열, 박리 등으로 인한 표면손상이 심각한 상태였으며, 압축 및 부착강도는 초기재령에서는 수중양생한 공시체보다 상회하는 결과를 보였으나 장기재령에서는 역전되는 현상을 보여주었다. Shotcrete have become a deterioration which was exposed to harmful environments. In this study, in order to evaluate the deterioration properties of shotcrete, visual examination, compressive strength, adhesive strength, microstructural analysis were investigated up to the 60th weeks of exposure. The attack solutions for test are sodium sulfate and hydrochloric acid solution with different concentrations, respectively. From the results, although the compressive strength of shotcrete specimens and the adhesive strength between specimens and rocks were high at the early immersion age, they rapidly dropped in the subsequent phases, especially in 5% sodium sulfate and pH1 hydrochloric acid solution. With continued exposure, various harmful ions penetrated into the shotcrete specimen, reacted with the cement hydrate, and generated expansion substances. It was verified that the shotcrete specimens suffered a serious deterioration by chemical attack.

        This article summarizes cultural trends of mural paintings in Korea from Goguryeo to Joseon period. It also examines the present conditions of 120 Goguryeo and 5 Balhae murals around China and North Korea, 7 murals of Baekje, Shilla, and Gaya, 18 Goryeo and 4 Joseon murals located in Korean peninsula. In general, the tradition of Goguryeo murals was interrupted, but succeeded by Balhae a century later. Then it lasted about a millennium until the early Joseon period. Therefore, it is arguable that the mural tradition in Korea from Goguryeo was temporarily discontinued, and continued. However, a new research on factors which caused the stoppage and succession of the Goguryeo tradition and whether the tradition was interrupted or succeeded until Joseon period is required. Along with issues of mural preservation, this paper also investigates the production and application of digital images of murals as contents. Restoration of murals is inevitable at this moment in which many of murals are being damaged. Due to this problem, the model production method is often cited as a solution. However, it involves considerable amount of budget. Therefore, rather than the model production, preservation of murals by using images is suggested and devised. This method utilizes digital images in order to show the restored or original status of lost or impaired murals. In the early stage when the concept of digital restoration was adopted, it solely depended on photographs, while current trend shows possibilities even to reconstruct life styles of Goguryeo not only with 3 dimension data, but also with virtual reality. In particular, murals investigated in the 20th century were severely impaired or lost due to environmental changes caused by inappropriate treatment on them during investigation. Present situation as such necessitates the digitalization of murals and that issue is galvanized since South Korean scholars do not enjoy enough access to murals in China and North Korea. In this context, the digital contents production of Anak Tomb No. 3, Deokheungri Murals, and Gagnseo Big Tomb was attempted. Recently, the 3 dimension modeling and scanning from the cultural heritage field and the Goguryeo murals as digital contents combined with virtual reality are employed. These contents are digital restoration works which guarantee the perpetual preservation of murals devoid of damage and loss. In short, this method is a combination of knowledge from humanities and information technologies which restores murals in virtual venue with computer graphics, virtual reality, cultural technology. If such an attempt could result in success, it would prove the method’s value as a digital archive for perpetual preservation and cultural heritage preservation data. Also, character development such as avatar or item easily accessible to general public and other types of contents construction is possible. Moreover it can be used as basic resources for research of next generation scholars. That is, digital contents of murals would arose public’s interest as contents of culture, art, information, and knowledge.

        4차 산업혁명 기술을 지향하는 미 해군의 분산해양작전

        Recently, US naval forces are developing a new way. In dealing with the A2/AD strategy of China, the US navy is particularly trying to build forces, such as Ghost Fleet(unmanned maritime systems), new frigates, based on the technologies of the 4th industrial revolution era in its pursuit of Distributed Maritime Operation(DMO). DMO is designed to complicate surveillance and targeting capability of Chinese navy, and to improve survivability of US forces by distributing ‘many, small’ platforms equipped with strengthened lethality. By integrating these new tools with legacy forces via networking, the US navy is also trying to accomplish an effect of quick build-up in both quality and quantity terms, and to defeat challenge from the Chinese navy. Although there exist some obstacles to overcome, this new approach in US naval build-up has many implications for the security of Republic of Korea as well as for the maritime security of the Asia-Pacific region.

        초등학교 교사의 교육연극 경험에 대한 체험분석

        본 연구의 목적은 교육연극에 참여한 교사의 경험을 바탕으로 심리적 변화 과정과 정서, 삶에 대한 의미를 도출하는데있다. 이를 위하여 연구문제는 ‘첫째, 교육연극에 참여한 초등교사는 무엇을 경험하였는가?, 둘째, 교육연극에 참여한초등교사의 심리적 변화과정은 어떠하였는가?’로 구성하였다. 연구방법은 C지역에서 교사극단에 소속되어 활동 중인초등학교 교사 8명을 연구참여자로 선정하여 체험분석 절차에 따라 연구를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 교육연극 경험을한 8명의 초등학교 교사를 대상으로 실시한 체험분석을 통해 교육연극에 참여한 초등학교 교사의 경험 속 공통요인을탐색하였으며, 교육연극 경험의 초기부터 초등학교 교사의 심리적 변화 과정을 분석할 수 있었다. 초등학교 교사의교육연극 경험에 드러나는 공통요인은 교사 자신의 만족과 즐거움, 타인과 함께하는 성장 경험, 변화와 성장의 경험을교육적으로 공유하기로 추출하였다. 교육연극에 참여한 초등교사의 심리적 변화 과정은 교육연극을 처음 접할 때의심리 상태, 교육연극 활동을 통한 심리변화, 교육연극을 통한 교사의 성장 경험을 분석하였다.

        녹둔도에 대한 문헌 기록의 검토와 녹둔도농보의 위치

        This paper reviewed the literature records on Nokdundo Island, and in addition to this, attempted to clarify the location of Nokdundo Nongbo by utilizing paintings and map data, and geographic investigation results. Nokdundo Island, located at the mouth of the Duman River, has been managed as a military hub on the border since the Joseon Dynasty. Dunjeon(屯田) was installed from an early point, but the operation was suspended due to a collision with Jurchen(女眞). Dunjeon was rebuilt in the mid-to-late 16th century and achieved high results under the leadership of Yi Sun-shin (李舜臣), but it was abolished again after the Battle of Nokdundo Island. By the late Joseon Dynasty, Nokdundo Island gradually became connected to Qing(淸) side. Joseon sought various management measures to secure Nokdundo Island as its own territory, but failed to lead to the installation of Dunjeon. And after the 1860s, Russia exercised its sovereignty, but Joseon did not stop trying to get it back. In order to estimate the location of Nokdundo Nongbo, it is necessary not only to thoroughly review the literature data, but also to comprehensively review the map, painting, and geographic research results. Nokdundo Island should assume an artificial structure, and if you find a place that matches the distance and geographical characteristics shown in the literature, it is highly likely to be a “Seong-jang(城場)” area. In addition, it is necessary to review the dock and waterway together in consideration of the relationship with the Josanbo (造山堡). 본 논문은 녹둔도에 대한 문헌기록을 검토하고, 이에 더하여 회화 및 지도자료, 그리고 지리적조사 성과를 활용하여 녹둔도농보의 위치를 밝히고자 하였다. 두만강 하구에 위치했던 녹둔도는조선시대 이래 국경의 군사 요지로서 관리되었다. 이른 시점부터 둔전이 설치되었으나 여진족과의 충돌 속에 운영이 정지되기도 했다. 16세기 중후반 둔전이 다시 설치되었고 이순신의 지도하에 높은 성과를 거두었으나, 녹둔도 전투 이후 다시 폐지되었다. 조선후기에 이르러 녹둔도는 점차 청측에 연접하게 되었다. 조선은 자국의 영토로서 녹둔도를 확보하기 위해 여러 관리 방안을모색했으나, 둔전설치까지 이어지지는 못했다. 그리고 1860년대 이후 러시아가 영유권을 행사하게 되었으나 조선은 이를 돌려받기 위한 노력을 멈추지 않았다. 한편 녹둔도농보의 위치를 추정하기 위해서는 문헌자료에 대한 엄밀한 재검토뿐만 아니라, 지도, 회화, 그리고 지리적 연구성과를 종합적으로 검토해야만 한다. 녹둔도는 인공적인 구조물을 상정해야하며, 문헌에 나타난 거리와 지리적 특성과 부합되는 곳을 찾는다면 성장(城場) 지역일 가능성이 높다. 조산보와의 관계및 나루와 물길을 검토할 때, 녹둔도에서 수확한 식량을 작포도에서 배에 실어 토리동으로 보낸후 조산보로 옮겼을 가능성이 높을 것으로 추정하였다.
