토끼 신장 근위세뇨관 일차 배양 세포에서 Bradykinin의 Phospholipase D(PLD)에 의한 신호 전달 기전

Recently, phospholipase D (PLD) is known to be involved in several bioactive materials-mediated signal transduction pathway. In order to investigate how bradykinin works in renal tissue, we in this study wants to figure out whether bradykinin mediates its physiological actions through activation of PLD or not. Bradykinin, which is a well known neuroactive peptide and plays many important physiological roles as vasodilatation, hyperalgia, has been reported to activate PLD in PC12 cells. As a corollary of our experimental results, we are first group ever to reveal the positive involvement of PLD in bradykinin-mediated signal transduction mechanism in the rabbit kidney proximal tubule cells.
국내 일부 산단 지역 거주 주민의 중금속 농도 및 건강 영향에 관한 연구

This study conducted a survey on environmental awareness and analyzed outdoor PM10 and heavy metals (cadmium, lead) for 60 local residents living in the Gwangyang national industrial complex from July 2019. 40.0% of subjects responded that local environmental pollution was serious. Especially, there was a high proportion of residents living near the industrial complex or roads where it was perceived that local environmental pollution was serious. The average concentration of PM10 in the outdoors of the houses was 10.95 μg/m3 and the average concentration of heavy metals in PM10 was 1.90 ng/m3 for Cd and 24.92 ng/m3 for Pb. Overall, the average concentration of PM10 and heavy metals revealed a tendency to be high in the houses located near the industrial complex or the roads. As a result of a risk assessment carried out, the cancer risk of Cd was estimated to exceed 106 in the CTE, RME and Monte Carlo analysis. These results suggest that the urgent implementation of specific environmental health education for local residents is necessary.
흰쥐 소장관으로부터 Maltase-Glucoamylase의 분리와 생화학적 특성

Maltase-Glucoamylase(MGA) was purified to near homogeneity from rat intestine using Triton X-100 solubilization. DEAE-cellulose, Sepharose 4B and Phenyl-sepharose CL 4B column chromatography. MGA was purified 157-fold and its specific activity was 98.8 unit/mg protein. The molecular weights of the MGA determined by SDS-PAGE and gel filtration were about 230 kDa and 450 kDa, respectively, suggesting that rat intestine MGA is a homodimer consisiting of two identical subunits. Optimum temperature and pH ranges of MGA were 6.5∼7.0 and 37∼45℃, respectively. Purified MGA preferred maltose to other disaccharides and oligosaccharides as a substrate.
