Status of High-efficiency Motor Technology and MEPS

Minimum Energy Performance Standard(MEPS) has been adapted in Korea since 2008. The efficiency standard of variable speed motors is scheduled for publication shortly. In this paper, author reviews the technical trends associated with a high efficient electric motors by reference to research papers, and reviews the research direction to prepare for IE5. This paper provides an overview of high efficiency motors. Various applications have been covered.

Recent research trends related to motor efficiency improvement, international regulations related to motor efficiency, and related standards were reviewed. The improvement of the efficiency of induction motors, which has been studied a lot so far, is almost at the limit level. Now, interest in improving the efficiency of variable speed motors and power converters and improving the efficiency of systems using variable speed control is also increasing, and related international standards are continuously being established and revised. It is time for Korea to develop standards that are in line with international standards. In addition, research trends for improving motor efficiency were also reviewed. The development of materials used in electric motors, the rapid growth of electric vehicles and the development of wide-bandgap semiconductor devices are expected to act as a new driving force in the field of electric motors.
낟알 정렬된 Bi0.5(Na0.85K0.15)0.5TiO₃ 세라믹의 압전 특성

Bi0.5(Na0.85K0.15)0.5TiO₃ (BNKT) were fabricated using the Reactive Templated Grain Growth (RTGG) method. Grain-oriented BNKT ceramics were made and dielectric and piezoelectric prop-erties of grain-oriented BNKT ceramics were measured. Surface morphology and phases of the grains were investigated using SEM and X-ray diffraction, respectively. Dielectric and piezoelectric properties such as P-E hysteresis, dielectric constants, piezoelectric coefficients, and electromech-nical coupling factors depending on the direction of grain orientations were investigated. BNKT ceramics made by RTGG method has 70 % of a-axis preference and it has higher piezoelectric properties by comparing to BNKT ceramics made by ordinary firing method. Bi0.5(Na1−xKx)0.5TiO₃무연계 압전 세라믹의 선행연구 결과로부터 x = 0.15 몰인 상경계영역(MPB) 조성 [Bi0.5(Na0.85K0.15)0.5TiO₃, BNKT]을 선택하여 Reactive Templated Grain Growth(RTGG) 방법으로 낟알 정렬된 BNKT 세라믹을 제조하여, 낟알 정렬 방향에 따른 BNKT 세라믹의 유전 및 압전 특성을 조사하였다. XRD와 SEM 측정으로부터 BNKT 세라믹의 결정구조와 낟알의 표면형상을 조사하였으며 낟알 정렬 방향에 따른 BNKT 세라믹의 P-E 이력곡선, 유전율, 전기기계 결합계수, 압전계수 등을 측정하여 유전 및 압전 특성을 조사하였다. RTGG 방법으로 제작된 BNKT 세라믹의 낟알은 a축 방향으로 70% 이상 정렬되었으며 일반적인 방법으로 제작된 BNKT 세라믹보다 우수한 압전 특성을 나타내었다.
Effect of IPMSM d-q Axis Parameters According to Magnetic Saturation and Armature Reaction

FEA was used to analyze inductance and torque of IPMSM. Torque and inductance areanalyzed on the dq-axis. It was shown that Ld and Lq have harmonic components, and magnitude aswell as phase of the harmonics varies according to the current values. This paper shows therelationship between these inductance harmonics and the 6th harmonic component of torque.
1979~1981년도 韓國에서 分離된 인플루엔자 바이러스의 抗原性 分析

1979 년 부터 1981 년도에 우리나라에서 인플루엔자의 유행시기에 바이러스를 분리하였었다. 분리된 바이러스에 대한 적혈구응집억제반응시험에 의해 항원분석시험을 하였다. 1) 1979 년도 분리된 바이러스주는 A/Brazil/11(18 (H_(1) N_(1))과 항원학적으로 동일한 바이러스로 동정되었다. 2) 1980년도 분리된 바이러스주는 A/Bang Kok/l/79(H+)(3) N+(2))와 거의 같은 바이러스였다. 3) 1981년도 분리된 바이러스주는 원형바이러스주 보다는 반응성이 약하나 A/Bang Kok/1/79(H+(3) N_(2))와 항원학적으로 아주 유사한 바이러스로 분석되었다. Influenza virus strains were isolated during the epidemic seasons in Korea from 1979 to 1981. The isolated virus strains were experimented for their antigenic analysis by means of hemagglutination inhibition test and obtained results are as follows; 1) The isolated influenza virus strain in 1979 was identified as antigenic ally similar to A/Brazill/11/78 (H+(1) N_(1)). 2) The isolated influenza virus strains in 1980 were all clearly like A/Bang Kok/1/79 (H+(3)N_(2)). 3) The isoloted influenza virus strains in 1981 were less reactive than the prototype virus. Neverthless they appear to be quite similar antigenically to A/Bang Kok/1/79 (H_(3) N_(2)).
韓國에서 流行한 인플루엔자 바이러스 , 1968 - 1977

Since 1968, A/Hong Kong/68(H3N2) new pandemic strain of influenza virus type A isolated at Hong Kong, many new antigenic variants of Hong Kong/68 have appeared in most areas of the world. In Korea there were influenza epidemics by it's variants from Febrauary to May in the years '69, '71, '72, '74, '75, '76, and '77 and identificated by means of hemagglutination-inhibition (H-I), neuraminidase-inhibition (N-I), and double immunodiffusion (DID) tests. Also influenza type A and B virus strains were isolated during the epidemic seasons in 1977. The epidemic and isolated virus strains in Korea from 1968 to 1977 were experimented by antigenic analysis. Summarized results were as follows.

This paper deals with a polynomial thrust equation of a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor that is considered by a skew and overhang effects of permanent magnet. The skew length, the overhang length, the width and height of permanent magnet, the teeth length and air-gap length which effect to the flux density of air-gap are selected as variables of the polynomial thrust equation. Polynomial thrust equation is elicited by the 6 parameters. The results are satisfied that the values by polynomial thrust equation are compared ones by using 3-dimensional finite element analysis and experiment.
