Ablation laser fluence as an effective parameter to control superconductivity in Ba1-xKxBiO3 films

Potassium doping in insulating BaBiO3 induces superconductivity, with high superconducting transition temperatures, Tc, of up to 31 K in bulk. We investigated growth control of superconducting properties of BKBO films, by varying laser fluence using pulsed laser deposition technique. As cation stoichiometry, especially potassium concentration in BKBO films, was sensitively changed with laser fluence, we were able to precisely control Tc of BKBO films. Following the trend of the bulk phase diagram, Tc showed the highest value of 24.5 ± 0.5 K at the optimal stoichiometry. This result can provide optimal guidance for the synthesis of high-quality BKBO films, and demonstrates the effectiveness of laser fluence to study emerging superconducting phenomena in PLD-grown complex oxide thin films.
Data-driven fault detection for chemical processes using autoencoder with data augmentation

Process monitoring plays an essential role in safe and profitable operations. Various data-driven fault detection models have been suggested, but they cannot perform properly when the training data are insufficient or the information to construct the manifold is confined to a specific region. In this study, a process monitoring framework integrated with data augmentation is proposed to supplement rare but informative samples for the boundary regions of the normal state. To generate data for augmentation, a variational autoencoder was employed to exploit its advantage of stable convergence. For the construction of the process monitoring system, an autoencoder that can extract useful features in an unsupervised manner was used. To illustrate the efficacy of the proposed method, a case study for the Tennessee Eastman process was applied. The results show that the proposed method can improve the monitoring performance compared to the autoencoder without data augmentation in terms of fault detection accuracy and delay, particularly within the feature space.

This paper describes a network framework that support network based humanoid. The framework utilizes middleware such as CORBA (ACE/TAO) that provides PnP capability for network based humanoid. The network framework transfers data gathered from a network based humanoid to a processing group that is distributed on a network. The data types are video stream, audio stream and control data. Also, the network framework transfers service data produced by the processing group to the network based humanoid. By using this network framework, the network based humanoid can provide high quality of intelligent services to user.

2002년 전국 규모의 대규모 풍수해를 경험한 우리는 지금까지의 재난관리정책에 관한 문제점을 인식하게 되었다. 이에 다양한 정책적 대응을 고려함과 동시에 기존의 대응체계를 점검해야 할 필요성을 갖게 했다. 재난관리정책은 개별적이고 구체적인 대응에 의해 해소하기 어려운 다양한 요인과 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이에 정책네트워크론의 정책커뮤니티 개념을 적용하여 재난관리 정책적 변화를 기술하고 재난관리정책담당주체간의 구조적 특성을 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 재난 및 안전관리기본법을 통해 현재 내포하고 있는 문제점을 지적하고, 아울러 개선 및 대안을 제시하고자 한다.
