        급성충수염(急性蟲垂炎)의 단순복부촬영상(單純腹部撮影像)의 방사선학적(放射線學的) 고찰

        In 24 cases of surgically proven acute appendicitis, the X-ray findings of simple abdomen prior to operation were analysed at the Department of Radiology, Severance Hospital. We have proved the possibility of accurate roentgen diagnosis, even in cases with vague and nonsuggestive clinical symptoms. he radiological findings are as follows: 1. In 92.7% of cases the reflex ileus findings of bowel are noted. 2. In over 71% of cases the gaseous distension of bowel around appendix is noted. It has the significant diagnositic value of acute appendicitis when correlated with t.he clinical symptoms. 3. In 4.0% of cases the extra-alimentary free-air shadows are noted, they are found almost at the subhepatic region. 4. In 1.6% of cases the coproliths are noted, it has almost definite diagnostic significance. 5. The obliteration of right flank line or inferior hepatic angle shows diagnostic value in the cases of local or pan-peritonitis with the acute appendicitis. 6. The shadows of much fecal densities (over 58.9% of cases) will be significantly related to the acute appendicitis.

      • A Low Cost IoT-based Traceability System for Perishable Food Supply Chain

        Now days, customer’s health awareness is of extreme significance. Food can become contaminated at any point during production, preparation and distribution. Therefore, it is of key importance for the perishable food supply chain to monitor the food quality and safety. Traceability system offers complete food information and therefore, it guarantees food quality and safety. The current study postulates a low cost IoT-based traceability system that utilized RFID and smartphone-based sensors. The RFID handheld reader based on smartphone is utilized to track and trace the product. In addition the smartphone-based sensor is used to measure temperature, humidity, and location during storage and transportation. The proposed system was verified for kimchi supply chain in Korea, and revealed significant benefits to managers as well as customers by providing the real-time product information, location as well as complete temperature and humidity history. The results displayed that compared to the traditional methods, the proposed system is capable of tracking products as well as processing an immense input of data efficiently and effectively.

      • 폐쇄성 수면무호흡증과 삶의 질 : 예비연구

        Background : While obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is defined by both polysomnographic abnormalities and clinical symptoms, severity is quantified primarily by the apnea-hypopnea index alone. Clinically, we have noted discordance between the severity indicated by polysomnography results and the degree of symptoms reported by some patients with OSAS. The aim of this study was to assess the quality of life (QOL) in patients with OSAS, and the relationship between the QOL, and self-reported measures and polysomnographic measures. Methods: We reviewed the clinical data and night polysomnography results in 64 patients with OSAS at our sleep disorder clinic. QOL was assessed with the Medical Outcome Study 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36). Demographic data were obtained via structured interview and medical record review. Self-reported measures included Epworth Sleepiness Scale, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality index, Insomnia Severity Index, Berlin Questionnaire, Beck Depression Inventory, and SF-36. All subjects underwent full overnight in laboratory polysomnography for the diagnosis of OSAS. The associations between each domain on the SF-36, and self-reported measures or polysomnographic measures were examined by Spearman correlation coefficients, and regression analysis. Results : The parameters of SF-36 of the patients with OSAS correlated well with self-reported measures. The parameters of polysomnographic measures of patients with OSAS did not show correlation with that of SF-36. Conclusions : The parameters measured by polysomnography may not reflect the severity of patients with OSAS and sleep apnea disease burden should be quantified with both physiologic and subjective measures.

        유·무기 섬유를 복합사용한 HPFRCC의 공학적 특성

        The high performance fiber reinforced cementitious composite (HPFRCC) controls the cracking development of thestructure by inducing micro-cracking and strain hardening behavior after the initial cracking under the tensileconditions. Although, in Korea, the research about manufacturing the single-fiber reinforced cementitious composite orthe mechanical properties of hardened status has been conducted, the research to apply the HPFRCC with multi-fiberis not sufficient. Hence, in this research, considering the workability and economic aspect for practical applications, theengineering properties of HPFRCC with combined long steel fiber (SL) and long organic fiber (OL) are evaluated suchas workability and strength. As a result of evaluating the engineering properties of HPFRCC, the most favorableperformance was obtained when the mixture contained 1.5% of combined SL and OL. 고성능 시멘트 복합재료(HPFRCC)는 인장력 작용 하에있어서 초기 균열이 발생한 이후에도 변형의 증가와 함께 응력이 증가하는 변형경화 특성과 다수의 미세 균열이 발생함으로써 균열 폭 제어 특성을 나타낸다. 그러나 국내의HPFRCC의 연구는 단일섬유를 중심으로한 제조방법이나경화전후의 재료적 성상에 관한 연구들이 진행되어지고 있으나 복합섬유인 HPFRCC를 실무에서 활용하기 위한 연구는 미미한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시공성 및 경제성을 고려하여 실무에서 효율적인 활용성을 검토하기 위한방안으로 강섬유(이하 SL)와 유기섬유(이하 OL)를 조합한복합섬유로 유동성 및 강도 등 제반 공학적 특성을 검토하고자 한다. 결과적으로 강섬유 장섬유(SL)과 유기섬유 장섬유(OL)의 복합섬유를 활용하는 HPFRCC의 제반 공학적 성능을 검토한 결과 복합섬유 혼입율 1.5%일 때 가장 우수한 것으로 판단되었다.

        지표면유출 해석방법이 도시 유역의 홍수량 산정에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 도시 배수구역에서 지표면유출과 우수로의 홍수추적 과정을 통하여 홍수량을 산정하는데 있어서, 지표면유출 해석방법이 결과치에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 지표면유출 해석이론의 비교연구를 위해서는 RUNOFF, ILLUDAS, SBUH, RRL 등의 해석모형들을 사용하였으며, 배수관망내 흐름 해석에는 EXTRAN을 사용하였다. 가상 및 실측 강우, 유출량자료가 있는 유역에 대하여 각각 유출해석을 실시하였다. 각 도시 소배수구역의 유출모형에 의한 결과는 도시홍수량 산정에 상당한 영향을 미치고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 지표면유출 해석 결과치에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 인자는 도달시간으로 판단되었다. 적용 모형 중 RUN-EX(RUNOFF-EXTRAN) 법이 포장, 비포장유역의 해석에 모두 적합하였으며, 다른 모형들에 비해 실측치에 가장 근사하였다. The effects of the calculation method of surface runoff on the estimation of flood in urban drainage basin were analyzed in this study. In comparing with surface runoff methods. RUNOFF, ILLUDAS, SBUH and RRL were investigated. To route the flow in sewer/conduits EXTRAN was applied. The Kings Creek and Gray Haven drainage basin's measured data of rainfall and runoff were used in comparing the computed results. The results show that the greatest effect factor on surface runoff in urban small area is the concentration time. The results estimated by each model which are composed with EXTRAN show that the scheme for surface runoff gives considerable effect on the flood hydrograph in urban drainage system. RUN-EX method gives the most similar simulation results among the surface runoff models, and is more applicable for paved and unpaved basins than others.
