        혈액종양 초기진단 검사항목 지침

        대한진단혈액학회에서는 혈액종양환자를 대상으로 표준화된 진단 절차에 대한 임상 진료 권장사항을 제공할 수 있는 지침을 개발하고자 하였다. 설문조사 및 National Comprehensive Cancer Network Guidelines, European LeukemiaNet recommendations을 포함한 국제 지침을 바탕으로 혈액종양 초기 진단 검사 항목 지침을 수립하였다. 본 지침은 국내 혈액종양 진단에 유용하게 활용되고 검사표준화에 기여할 것이며 새롭게 소개되는 분자진단기술이 위원회의 합의 과정을 통해 지속적으로 검사 항목 지침에 통합될 것이다. The standardization committee of the Korean Society for Laboratory Hematology sought to establish standardized testing guidelines for the diagnosis of hematologic malignancies. The guidelines were developed on the basis of survey results and international guidelines, including the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Guidelines and European LeukemiaNet recommendations. The committee expects that the diagnostic guidelines presented here will enhance diagnostic test standardization and clinical decision making and that the novel developments due to new molecular technologies will be integrated into the diagnostic algorithms through ongoing consensus initiatives.

        고등학교 피부관리 교과서 분석

        The purpose of this study is to discover a way to improve the quality of high school textbooks on skin care by comparative analysis of their structure and contents against those of actual curriculum. The research is also expected to provide a foundation for subsequent development of a textbook on skin care. In order to achieve these objectives this research studied three textbooks based upon the 7th Revised Educational Curriculum. In regard to research method, the contents in each textbook were categorized into six different areas, according to the interpretation of 7th Revised Educational Curriculum. The research results have revealed that the government-designated textbook contains slightly more diversified structure and that the contents of the sampled textbooks do not correspond to those of National Educational Curriculum. Therefore, it is suggested that the skin care textbooks that are currently in use need to be reviewed at a political level such that they could be practically utilized in secondary education.

        미용관련 고등학교의 교과과정 연구

        The purpose of this research is to provide not only the preliminary data related to Korean beauty school education but also the reference materials to find the desirable direction of progressing in the curriculums of the country's beauty high schools. Based on the current scope of our beauty designer training and education system enforced by the 7th Educational Curriculum Revision in 2007 and Public health Law, this study investigated the educational conditions of 47 domestic beauty high schools by region and by type and the available beauty courses of 34 schools. The result of the research shows that, as for region, the capital area and Busan & Kyungsangnam-do area have more beauty high schools than other areas and that, as for type, vocational high schools take the most portion. The beauty course distribution chart indicates that hair design section is ranked 1st in the number of available courses, skin care section ranked 2nd, makeup section ranked 3rd and public health section ranked 4th, showing that the current curriculums of domestic beauty high schools are concentrated in hair design courses.

        Bone Marrow-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells Affect Immunologic Profiling of Interleukin-17-secreting Cells in a Chemical Burn Mouse Model

        Purpose: This study investigated interleukin (IL)-17-secreting cell involvement in sterile inflammation, and evaluatedthe effect of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) on IL-17-secreting cell immunologic profiling. Methods: Twenty mice were sacrificed at time points of 6 hours, 1 day, 1 week, and 3 weeks (each group, n =5) after the cornea was chemically injured with 0.5N NaOH; IL-17 changes in the cornea were evaluated usingenzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Further, IL-17 secreting cells were assessed in the cervical lymph nodesby a flow cytometer. Rat MSCs were applied intraperitoneally in a burn model (n = 10), IL-17-secreting T helper17 (Th17) cell and non-Th17 cell changes were checked using a flow cytometer in both cornea and cervicallymph nodes at 1week, and compared with those in the positive control (n = 10). Results: IL-17 was highest in the cornea at 1 week, while, in the cervical lymph nodes, IL-17-secreting cellsshowed early increase at 6 hours, and maintained the increase through 1 day to 1 week, and levels returnedto the basal level at 3 weeks. Specifically, the non-Th17 cells secreted IL-17 earlier than the Th17 cells. Whenthe MSCs were applied, IL-17 secretion was reduced in CD3(+)CD4(-)CD8(-), CD3(+)CD4(+)CD8(-), and CD3(+)CD4(-)CD8(+) cells of the cervical lymph nodes by 53.7%, 43.8%, and 50.8%, respectively. However, in thecornea, IL-17 secretion of CD3(+)CD4(-)CD8(-) cells was completely blocked. Conclusions: The results indicated that both IL-17-secreting non-Th17 and Th17 cells were involved in the chemicalburn model, and MSCs appeared to mainly modulate non-Th17 cells and also partially suppress the Th17 cells.

      • S-371 : Digital subtraction venography for venous mapping prior to hemodialysis vascular access creation

        Background: Upper extremity venography is one of the methods usually used in venous mapping for furtheroptimization of the surgical strategy. With reduction in dose of contrast media and radiation, preservation of venographic image quality is valuable although a challenge in clinical applications. Purpose: We introduce a new bolus tracking venography method using a stepping-gantry technique for venous mapping before hemodialysis vascular access creation. Methods: Between January 2012 and October 2012, we analyzed the digital subtraction venography data sets of ten patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Digital subtraction venography using a stepping-gantry technique represents a simple modification of the conventional stepping-gantry angiography applicable to the upper extremity. The examinations were reviewed by two radiologists in order to ascertain the opacification quality of the venographic images. We also assessed the amount of the dose of contrast media used as well as the radiation exposure dose during the venography. Results: Two radiologists examined the opacification quality, and more than 84% of the analyzed veins of the patients were graded as good regarding visualization of the cephalic vein of the forearm, the cephalic and basilic veins of the upper arm, and the subclavian vein. The average dose of contrast medium used in ten patients was 10.6 mL (range 10-12 mL), and the mean accumulated dose during the examination was 3.5 mGy (range 2-5.2 mGy). Conclusion: Preliminary findings indicates that single bolus stepping-gantry venography may be a valuable and alternative method for venous mapping prior to hemodialysis vascular access creation as it uses less contrast media and reduces the radiation dose.
