Mushroom, called higher fungus, generally means macrofungus with a distinctive fruiting body which can be either hypogeous or epigeous, large enough to be seen with the naked eye and to be picked by hand. And mushrooms belong to the group of organisms called fungi, because of having no chlorophyll, to manufacture their own food in the present of sunlight. The mushrooms have with very various shapes and colored, and with a different habitats, and also a complex life cycle having both teleomorphs, forming carphophores with hymenium producing spores, and anamorphs, mycelial growth continuaslly without sexual stage. They are found worldly from the arctic, temperate, to tropical zone. and one of the most interesting organisms. The taxonomic system is hierarchical with Kingdom as the highes rank. The kingdom of fungi has two Divisions : the Eumycota, or true fungi, and the Myxomycota, The Eumycota is composed of fiive Subdivisions, two of which contain mushrooms: Basidiomycotina and the Ascomycotina. The Basiciomycotina which is divided into tree classes Heterobasidiomycetes, Homobasidiomycetes, and Teliomyctes. Teliomycetes contains the fungi responsible for the important plant disease. There are two subclasses Hymenomycetidae and Gasteromycetidae in Homobasidiomyctes. The Basidiomycotina are a total of 22,244 species, 1,428 genera, 165 families, 41 orders and 3 divisions, worldly. In Korea, a total of 1302 species, 362 genera belonging to Basidiomycota and 190species, 83genera in Ascomycota have been recorded.
야생 잎새버섯 물추출물 및 유기용매 분획물의 생리활성 탐색

Samples (10 mg/mL) of wild Grifola frondosa aqueous extract and solvent fractions were examined for fibrinolytic, thrombin inhibitory, acetylcholinesterase inhibitory, and antioxidative activities to determine the biological activities. The fibrinolytic activity of the aqueous extract and solvent fractions was 0.93 and 0.73 plasmin units/mL, respectively. The thrombin inhibitory activity of the butanol extract was 79.60%. The chloroform fraction had high acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity (85.88%). The aqueous extract had low antioxidative activity (39.81%). The aqueous fraction hydrolyzed Bβ subunits of human fibrinogen but did not show any reactivity for the γ form of the human fibrinogen. The findings indicate the potential of wild Grifola frondosa for the development of drugs and bio-functional foods to prevent cardiovascular diseases.

2015년 9월 한국 화순 지역의 딸기와 파프리카 온실 내묘상에서 이례적으로 버섯이 발생하였으며, 흔히 채소 식물체와 함께 자랐다. 필자들은 온실 내 발생한 버섯의 발생양상과 발생 버섯이 채소 작물의 생육과 품질에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며, 온실 내 묘상으로부터 발생한 버섯 시료를 채집하여 형태적 및 분자생물학적 특성에 의해 동정하였다. 딸기 온실 채집 버섯 시료는 Leucocoprinus birnbaumii와 L. ianthinus로 동정되었으며, 파프리카 온실 채집버섯 시료는 Gymnopilus lepidotus로 동정되었다. 동정된 3종의 버섯 중에서 L. ianthinus와 G. lepidotus는 한국에서 처음 발견되었다. 조사 결과, 발생 버섯은 묘상에 사용된 코코피트에서 비롯된 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 온실 내 채소작물의 생육과 품질에는 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. Unusual mushrooms were observed in strawberry and sweet pepper greenhouses in the Hwasun area of Korea in September 2015. The mushrooms usually grew on beds in the greenhouses, frequently along with vegetables. The identity of the mushrooms in the greenhouses and effects of the mushrooms on the growth and quality of vegetables were investigated. Mushroom specimens collected were identified based on their morphological and molecular characteristics. The mushroom specimens collected from the strawberry greenhouse were identified as Leucocoprinus birnbaumii and L. ianthinus, and those from the sweet pepper greenhouse as Gymnopilus lepidotus. These were the first observations of L. ianthinus and G. lepidotus in Korea. The results revealed that the mushrooms originated from coco peat media used for the beds in the greenhouses. The mushrooms did not affect the growth and quality of the two vegetables.

To investigate the fungal diversity in Mt. Paekwoon, higher fungi were collected in July, 1991 from the two Locations of Seoul National University Forests in Kwangyang-gun, Chonnam Province. A total of la7 fungal species were collected and classified. Following six species were identified as new species unrecorded in Korea. Their morphological and taxonomic features including microscopic characteristics of spores and cystidia were also reported in this paper. For the study of species diversity and distribution of Melanophyllum in Korea, M. eyrei and M. haematospermum were identified with unrecorded species and reported species, respectively. Their identification were confirmed based on macroand microscopic descriptions as well as ITS region sequence data. We give a Korean name ``Cheongheukjureumbeoseot`` for M. eyrei and provided full description for M. haematospermum due to incomplete previous description.
